Government Launches Investigation Into Planned Parenthood’s Baby Part Harvesting
HHS is now involved
Earlier this year, the Center for Medical Progress exposed Planned Parenthood’s baby part harvesting racket to the public. A series of undercover videos showed Planned Parenthood officials haggling with investigators over the price of fetal tissues.
Now Congress is looking into Planned Parenthood’s fetal tissue trade.
Tuesday, Sen. Rand Paul announced Health and Human Services had opened an investigation into Planned Parenthood’s use of fetal tissue.
Following the request initiated by U.S. Senator Rand Paul, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Inspector General (OIG) Daniel R. Levinson has opened an investigation, including a full audit into the compliance of HHS grantees with the fetal tissue regulations to determine whether there have been violations of the law and how the agency verifies compliance.
Originally stemming from videos showcasing Planned Parenthood’s potential violations of federal law, Sen. Paul sent a letter, signed by 34 of his colleagues, on October 6, 2015, to HHS OIG Levinson calling for an audit to specifically examine the Department’s oversight of contractor and grantee compliance with laws governing fetal tissue research. The full text of Sen. Paul’s letter can be found HERE.
“I am encouraged to see the Inspector General take action to investigate Planned Parenthood’s unconscionable practices. Planned Parenthood selling body parts of the unborn demonstrates that the organization deserves not one penny more of our taxpayer dollars, and I am confident this investigation will give further proof of that,” Sen. Paul said.
A similar probe is already underway in Ohio where the state’s Attorney General is investigating local Planned Parenthood clinics. The Washington Examiner posted that video.

One of the MANY infuriating things about the BeTRAYabus bill passed just this last week is the fact that the Congress COULD have defunded these monsters.
And they didn’t. Criminal…
HHS’s involvement is to collect evidence to flush down the toilet.
It’s hard to think this will be a full fledged investigation.
This isn’t an investigation at all, it is simply a way to cover PP so the donation money keeps flowing.
What will be the outcome? The finding will be something along the lines of; “While personally reprehensible we can find no violation of law.”
Exactly. All these Inspector Generals have seen what happened to other IG’s whose investigations produced results Obama didn’t like. Anyone remember IG Gerald Walpin, who investigated Obama’s crooked buddy Kevin Johnson and found that Johnson was abusing AmeriCorps and other taxpayer-funded groups, and using them to personally enrich himself? Obama fired IG Walpin and publicly questioned his integrity.

Not that there is much change the IG here will even be allowed to conduct an actual investigation. The Obama White House routinely stonewalls IG’s, and refuses to allow them access to information.

Obama’s days are numbered. I think there will be a whole lot of bureaucrats who will have a come to Jesus moment, starting yesterday.
But it will be business as usual unless we elect Donald Trump. Cruz voted for TPA which ensured the passage of TPP, effectively cutting off your children’s future.
Rob Stein helped found the Democracy Alliance, the cabal of uber rich progressive megamillionaire out to shape society in their vision. Here’s why Stein said it was important for them to win the presidency:
“The reason it is so important to control government is because government is the source of enormous power,” Stein continued. “One president in this country, when he or she takes office, appoints…5,000 people to run a bureaucracy, nonmilitary nonpostal service of 2 million people, who hire 10 million outside outsource contractors–a workforce of 12 million people–that spends $3 trillion a year. That number is larger than the gross domestic product of all but four countries on the face of the earth.”
“So the reason we’re doing what we’re doing…and the way we get progressive change, is to control government,” Stein said. “That’s what this is about.”
In other words, Stein seems to believe that government coercion is required to force humans to live in accord with the progressive vision. They want the power to enrich themselves and their cronies, yes, but they also want the power so technocrats can reshape society according to their vision. It’s technocrats imposing a top down centrally planned vision of how they want you to live.

Of course, we can’t talk about it now that there’s an investigation ongoing.
Oh, they will collect the “evidence.” The question is how HHS will evaluate it. I’m looking into the future where I see the HHS Secretary calls a press conference to announce the investigation discovered “mistakes were made” and that HHS has secured a “promise” by Planned Parenthood not to engage in “the type of conduct” that could be construed as a criminal offense. No one resigns; no one is prosecuted. (And the Democratic cash contributions received from PP continue unabated . . .)
Abortion rites. Clinical cannibalism. Progress.
It seems that a civilized society should have higher expectations.
