Don Quijote de la Chafee drops presidential bid
Linc Chafee’s Impossible Dream is over.
Lincoln Davenport Chafee, former U.S. Senator and Governor of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Mayor of Cranston, son of the late U.S. Senator John Chafee, and most importantly, farrier extraordinaire, announced this morning that he is abandoning his quest for the Democratic nomination to be President of the United States of America.
His campaign never got off the ground. He did little fundraising, and appeared catatonic during the first Democratic debate.
Today he dropped out. Watch:
The people of Rhode Island are heartbroken. Not because he’s dropping out, but because he now will have more time to spend in Rhode Island.
In honor of his quest, we present his campaign theme song:

In and out, quick like a bunny!
No more ’tilting at windmills’…for now.
Where exactly is this “Rhode Island”? Atlantic? Pacific? Is it an American territory?
And WTH is “Providence Plantations”?
Sounds racist. Does BLM know about this place?
It is at the far end of the bridge to nowhere.
I think you mean the sidewalks to nowhere. ‘)
Start at Merritt Island, Florida and follow the dolphins north to Isle of Palms where you can eat some low country food. Then drift north to Coney Island and stop and have a hot dog. Wait a few hours and then swim to towards Newfoundland. Rhode Island is on the left. You can’t miss it.
I looked on Gargle Maps… it’s not even an island! WTH???
That’s global warming for yuh!
I read on CNN that global warming is the reason Atlantis disappeared.
I guess a president from a teeny, tiny, unknown state is not worthy.
We need one from a mighty state like Texas, that gave us Lyndon Johnson and the Bush’s, yes indeed!
Or, a sophisticated state with Good Old Line Families, like Massachusetts.
/must I?
I couldn’t resist:

Professor Jacobson, what am I going to do with all of those metric wrenches I bought?
