Speaking in Iowa this afternoon, Hillary Clinton finally unveiled her stance on the ever-contentious Keystone Pipeline — she opposes it.

Clinton teased her big Keystone reveal in New Hampshire, to a mostly empty town hall forum Thursday night:
Clinton on Keystone: "I can’t wait too much longer. I am putting the White House on notice. I am going to tell you what I think soon."

According to CNN Political Producer Dan Merica, Clinton cited the Keystone Pipeline as a “distraction from important work on climate change.”

Clinton has been asked about Keystone at nearly every townhall she does – in NH, IA and elsewhere. Pressure was certainly building.

The women who asked Clinton about Keystone is a student at Drake University and was contacted by @350action to ask about Keystone.

350 Action is an organization dedicated to “putting climate action on the political agenda” Thrilled with Hillary’s rebuffing of Keystone, 350 Action said, “her position on Keystone should set an important precedent for her policies going forward: we cannot afford to approve projects that make climate change worse.”

But the timing of her announcement? After months of being asked the exact.same.question, Hillary finally decided to tell-all, at the very moment Pope Francis arrived in the United States. Gee. How convenient. Eric Bradner and Dan Merica of CNN write:
The Democratic 2016 front-runner announced her opposition to the project — which is still the subject of a years-long State Department review — as Pope Francis landed in the United States, dominating national media attention.
…Clinton has repeatedly been asked about Keystone on the campaign trail but has never answered directly.
“I am not going to second guess (President Barack Obama) because I was in a position to set this in motion,” Clinton said at a July event in New Hampshire. “I want to wait and see what he and Secretary Kerry decide.”
At the same event, she later added, “If it is undecided when I become president, I will answer your question.”
And throughout much of 2013 and 2014, Clinton criss-crossed the country on the paid speaking circuit and later on her book tour. She was asked about Keystone a number of times, particularly in Canada, where the pipeline would originate. At no point did she take a position, however.
Why wait until Friday when hiding behind the Pope-in-America media blitz is an option on Tuesday?

So, Ol’ Double-Wide comes out against the source of all that polyester that covers her fat butt.
Anti-science is the Collective.
OMG that is such a funny post! I especially like her “prison orange” pantsuit that she favors lately. LOL!
Um, pardon me, Sweet Cheeks, but this isn’t some federal project. It’s to be built with private funds, so if it isn’t built, your fat butt has no say how the money is spent.
And there is no crisis of “leaking pipelines” in the US or Canada. Try not to be stupid, Hilly. I know it’s hard.
Madame Hillary has had Keystone on her desk for half a decade, and has hid from accountability all that time by refusing to take a position on it. Leadership, no.
And she thinks she should be President?
Having taken a position, Hillary now needs only to find anyone who gives a shit.
Oh, what sweet irony it would be if Hillary’s career was forever ended by the biggest boob in the Democrat Party and one of the great all-time American boobs, Vice President Joe Biden. Oh, please, gods of DeeCeevia, make it so, make it so…….

And she has a focus group’s permission to take this bold stance.
I checked her photo above, and yes, she has one hand out checking wind direction.
Henry, she has one hand checking the wind direction in every photo above.
That “focus group” consists of Tom Steyer and his running buddies.
All of them oligarchs, with most of them, like Steyer, having made billions in fossil fuels.
Was there a doubt as to her position? She’s always been opposed.
And she wouldn’t be in favor now even if she wanted to be: she need Obama’s favor to stay out of prison long enough to be elected…
