Wise Words From Rush Limbaugh: ‘It’s Never Time to Panic’

“There will never be walking away. There will never be abandoning the country — and there sure as hell not gonna be me telling you to.”

Folks, I’m not gonna lie to you. Last night was bad. Real bad. Bloodbath level bad. Personally, I thought the GOP had an excellent chance to at least hold the Senate. They obviously didn’t.

The Democrats made gains in places I never even imagined possible.

The only thing I’m going to tell you is that nothing is forever. As someone who clearly remembers the Tea Party and the midterms of 2010 and 2014, I remember feeling a renewed sense of hope when Republicans took back the House and the Senate in huge numbers. It happened before, and it can happen again.

In the meantime, I recommend listening to the late, great Rush Limbaugh, who always said he would tell you when it was time to panic.

In a 2020 broadcast, he finally explained that it is never time to panic. It’s never time to give up.

Transcript via Rush’s website:

RUSH: All right. Full disclosure. A number of people have called today, and Mr. Snerdley has put them up there. “You said that you would tell us when it’s time to panic. You said that you thought the election was over. You said this and you said that,” and so let me try to answer all of these challenging questions that you have.

Yes, I’ve told you that I’ll tell you when it’s time to panic. I’ve said over and over again that I’ll tell you when it’s time to panic. It isn’t time to panic because I’m never gonna panic. I’m never gonna give up. So, no, it’s not time to panic. It’s not time to run away. It’s not time to walk away. It’s never gonna be time to run away or walk away from the country.

I’m never gonna run away from the United States of America. I may die, but I’m not gonna run away from the United States of America. I’m not gonna give up. I am not gonna tell you to give up. I’m not gonna tell you to walk away. I’m not gonna tell you it’s time to panic. You can keep asking if you want, but I’m always gonna tell you no.

Even though I’ve told you I’ll tell you when it’s time to panic, it’s never gonna be time to panic. You know why? Panic never accomplished anything. So, if you’re thinking that we’ve gotten to a point where even I might tell you that we’ve reached the last straw, no way. Never, ever. Not gonna happen, folks. Not as long as I’m drawing a breath. There will never be panic.

There will never be walking away. There will never be abandoning the country — and there sure as hell not gonna be me telling you to. That was always designed as a humorous point, like a rhetorical question. “I’ll tell you when it’s time to panic,” but it’s never gonna be.

The Seven Deadly Sins are the bulwark of the Democrat Party. So many as fixed on Trump….even within the Republican politics. Yep…look at all the planning the Dems have done over the decades. It’s easy to blame Trump but misses the hugely big picture. Look at the takeover of Eastern Europe by the Soviets. I bet you will find parallels. Decoy Dan is another example of Dem planning and cunning. As Mark Steyn puts it… when Republicans win they are in office. When Dems win they are in power.

Fixating on Trump….yet who really should be the Repubs vocal target? The Islamo-Marxist Left that threatens the country and successfully misled pliable voters.

I think you meant “Demographics from red to blues”, but otherwise you are right on every point.

“I remember feeling a renewed sense of hope when Republicans took back the House and the Senate in huge numbers.”

All that tells you is that the swirl and sway of uncommitted, untutored dilettantes is the sole deciding factor of whether our ship of state is pointed towards the destination port, or towards the icebergs.

What went wrong?
What can we learn from our mistakes?
What can we do to slow, or even stop, the Democrat Party and its Marxists from destroying the country?

Unfortunately Rush is no longer with us.
I didn’t start listening to him till 2008 occasionally and then slowly he grew on me and he became daily company

I couldn’t believe he got cancer and was gone… took him quickly, way too quickly, just like my sister

I’m not sure what he would say yesterday

    He is desperately missed

As is Charlie Kirk and Breitbart.

It was Breitbart that helped me turn from a lost liberal idiot to a conservative idiot .

We have lost the voices of our leaders. I’m a follower really, second in command sort of person, the side kick.

    I feel such a void.

I love Trump, but he’s made some big mistakes, he lost track of the forgotten man’s needs, he’s hurting.

Willl Trump find a way back so he can lead us once more?

    I pray so…

You still have too rosy a view of Trump and his capabilities. I predict he isn’t going to do anything else in politics worthy of note that will be good for conservatives or even centrists.

He’s now Bush 2.0 at the end of W’s second term when he had both houses taken. Don’t worry, a recession is coming and the next Obama is just around the corner to promise us all a bunch of platitudes that will keep us sustained at the dinner table.

This time, though, the puppet masters won’t be so restrained.

Start preparing for 2028 is what. Resist, in the short term, what the Democrats impose on the country. Be heard and be seen as unified in opposition to the lunacy about to be unleashed.

I think Rush was a man who trusted in God, and God never panics.

Everyone is talking about how this election was a referendum on Trump, but how about Congress? Ineffectual, directionless, feckless. Despite having both chambers Republicans accomplished little. Why would voters be motivated to keep the status quo?

Always be wary of misreading the mandate.

People don’t like new wars and $4+ gas. Farmers hate $6+ diesel.

People are fickle and the current pocket book rules. Good work delivering in the past (border security, fighting government inter reach during COVID and the previous administration doesn’t matter today.

Midterm loss for: clinton 54 seats, obama 64 seats, trump 25 seats.

I conclude the opposite. The radical DSA wing damped the momentum by wearing its agenda on the sleeve and refusing to be “normal” Dems.

A more subtle Democrat push that would have just stuck to the economy and other everyday issues (nevermind that they’d only make those things worse afterwards) could have flipped even more seats and put them in reach of a (crude and purely political) impeachment power play.

Listened to RHL III since 1990. As popular he was, even more importantly he was so underestimated. RIP

All I see at this moment is that the Socialist/Democrats have won. I was so upset and disappointed on election night and could not believe there were so many ignorant voters out there, but I was obviously wrong. The Islamists have gotten far too strong in our country, and people are afraid to voice their opinion for fear of being called Islamophobes . There is NO such word. That is a made-up word. If we don’t do something about it quickly, we stand to lose our country, our constitution, and God knows what else!
