Collins Blasts Schumer, Democrats Over ‘Completely False’ Campaign Ads
“So this is part of Chuck Schumer’s playbook, and it’s one thing to have a legitimate debate on policy, and there are a lot of differences between my opponent and me.”
Sen. Susan Collins blasted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democratic Party for all the false ads they’ve pushed about her and other Republican candidates.
Collins faces off against Democrat Troy Jackson, who landed on the ballot after Graham Platner dropped out.
Collins made the comments on Fox News:
REPORTER: First, does that get old though? That you have to stick up because you’ve done so much, and then you get you here is all these things you’ve done for your state, and you love your state. You grew up here, and then all you get asked about is national politics, and if you’re going to have to answer for those national politics. Is that annoying?
COLLINS: It’s certainly an attempt by my opponent and Chuck Schumer and their allies to nationalize this race. It’s interesting. One of the outrageous, completely false ads against me had to do with Jeffrey Epstein, and it turns out in talking to two of my colleagues who are in tough races that they had virtually identical ads run against them.
So this is part of Chuck Schumer’s playbook, and it’s one thing to have a legitimate debate on policy, and there are a lot of differences between my opponent and me. But I’ve never seen a campaign with so many outright lives.
It’s very frustrating, and what I’m worried about is that’s going to discourage people from getting involved in serving their community, their state, and their country.
Collins also argued against the narrative saying that she has voted with President Donald Trump 90% of the time.
That’s based on a sample of only 30% of the votes,” explained Collins. “If you look at a broader sample of 90% of the vote, that drops significantly to like 72%. And I voted against the president’s policies 138 times.”
FactCheck.org labeled the Epstein ad against Collins as false:
Collins supported an Epstein-files disclosure bill in November that required the Department of Justice to publicly release records related to the convicted sex offender. She had voted two months earlier against an amendment that called for the release of the files and was attached to a defense spending bill. Collins said she opposed adding the amendment to an unrelated bill.
Furthermore, the ad stretches the facts in claiming that “Epstein’s business partner” gave money to Collins. A political action committee supporting Collins received millions of dollars in contributions from a man who was reportedly a “founding member” of a private New York City club along with Epstein and many other wealthy people.
A spokesperson for the man told us he had no relationship with Epstein.
Jackson and pro-abortion groups have tried to push Collins as a pro-life Republican, even though she has voted for legislation that protects abortion access. She even voted to strike a provision in the Big Beautiful Bill to defund Planned Parenthood.

I hope that one day Chuck Schumer gets the Hairy Reed ‘exercise band’ treatment. It’s especially useful for lying pricks in teaching them to shut their lying mouths. In the case of Reed it also convinced the punk to slink back under his rock and leave public life.
I’m beginning to ask myself why I bother to vote. Elections have been corrupted on so many different levels that it’s hard to take them seriously. What a travesty for the country. Who knows what the widespread chicanery and hypocrisy will deliver for the voters tomorrow?
I’ve received TWO texts today about the Republican incumbent here not really being anti-trans or anti-abortion. They did not urge me to vote for the Democrat (maybe because that would have exposed the hypocrisy a bit too readily). They did not urge me to vote for a third party/independent. Just “Don’t vote for her” and a link.
I really don’t get how people could be fooled by that. It’s such a blatant attempt to just get you to not vote.
Susan maybe you shouldn’t be so cozy with Chuck U Schumer. I know you have to thread your way through a wannabe communist state, but don’t you think if you weren’t such a squish it might, just might attract more voters??
I’m tired of conservatives refusing to vote. The left has been playing the long game for 100+ years. For conservatives the excuse for Rs to stay home because they hate the game is damaging to our Founding.
Get out and vote against the jerks (dems, socialists, greenies, Islamicists, commies, etc.) The only way this garbage will be stopped against the leftist coalitions is by voters who disagree with the leftist Coalition. Took them 100 years to get here; we don’t have 100 years to stop it; get out now and vote against it.
We’re never going to find someone with whom we Agree 100%. It is impossible for a human to get to a very high position with a super clean, everybody will be happy with the person, etc. personality. It ain’t humanity.
Get out and vote and vote against the people who are raising your taxes, messing up with your kids with the school systems, messing up with your money with the fraud and government programs that should be cut and finally, people who think our borders should just be left wide open.
Chuck Schumer is the useful idiot for the DSA. He doesn’t realize he is half way under the bus now, It is only a matter of time before the tire tracks will cross his back. The guy has been devious his whole career in politics. He has been anti second amendment and anti American for to long.
Doesn’t have to be true. Dingey Harry confronted about his lying sliming of Romney replied: “He lost, didn’t he?”
Is there ever a time that Schumer speaks that you don’t already know what he’s going to say?
