Israel Eliminates Last Hamas Terrorist Who Abducted Shani Louk on October 7
Al-Zabaq was part of a four-member Hamas terror cell that abducted the 22-year-old German-Israeli hostage.
It has been three long years in the making, but justice has finally been served. The Israeli military on Monday eliminated the last terrorist involved in the abduction of 22-year-old German-Israeli hostage Shani Louk.
An Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza “eliminated Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zabaq, a Hamas military wing terrorist,” the Israel Defense Forces announced on Tuesday evening. “Ibrahim Al-Zabaq infiltrated Israeli territory and took part in the abduction of Shani Louk during the October 7th Massacre.”

On October 7, 2023, Shani Louk was abducted by Palestinian terrorists while attending the Nova Music Festival. Al-Zabaq and four other terrorists loaded her apparently lifeless body on the back of a pickup truck and drove into Gaza. Gazans were captured on video spitting on Louk’s half-naked body as she was paraded through a cheering crowd.

Al-Zabaq was “the final member of the Hamas cell that was seen abducting Louk on October 7, 2023, with three others killed earlier in the war and one captured by Israeli forces,” The Times of Israel reported.
Despite Israel agreeing to a ceasefire in October 2025, Al-Zabaq had been involved in Hamas’s terrorist build-up in Gaza. “Throughout the war, and specifically recently, the terrorist advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and operated to restore the terrorist organization’s military capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire,” the military said. “The terrorist was eliminated in an aerial strike to remove the threat he posed.”

Louk’s family prayed for her return, but their hopes were dashed when her death was confirmed weeks later, and the IDF ultimately recovered her remains in May 2024.

Louk, a 22-year-old German-Israeli tattoo artist, was attending the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re’im when Hamas terrorists stormed the event on October 7. Videos filmed before the attack showed her dancing and smiling alongside other festivalgoers. Hours later, footage circulated widely on social media showing her apparently unconscious body being paraded through Gaza in the back of a pickup truck as terrorists surrounded and abused her.
For weeks, her family held out hope that she might still be alive. However, on October 30, 2023, Israeli authorities confirmed her death after identifying a fragment of her skull through DNA testing. Her sister, Adi, announced the news on Instagram, bringing a devastating end to the family’s search for answers.
IDF eliminates Hamas’s top security operative in Gaza
The IDF, on Tuesday, confirmed the elimination of a senior Hamas terrorist responsible for the terrorist group’s internal security apparatus.
The military, “guided by [Shin Bet] intelligence, struck in the Gaza City area and eliminated Akram Bassam Shaaban Yassin, a senior official in the Hamas terrorist organization’s General Security Mechanism in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF announced.
Hamas’s General Security Mechanism is tasked with protecting the terrorist group’s top leadership and conducts intelligence activities aimed at directing terror attacks. “The General Security Mechanism is a central, covert Hamas apparatus responsible for protecting senior Hamas officials,” the IDF disclosed. “Its senior officials are responsible for securing and transporting Hamas leaders between emergency facilities and compiling intelligence assessments, including intelligence on security forces, to support the organization’s leadership in decision-making and carrying out terrorist attack plans against Israel.”
Tuesday’s targeted strike is part of a four-month-long IDF operation to weaken Hamas’s internal security apparatus, Israeli news reports suggest. “Yassin’s elimination is part of a series of targeted eliminations in the Gaza Strip intended to weaken the General Security Mechanism in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF added.
