Trump Kicks CNN, MSNOW, Politico Out of the White House

“Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America.”

President Donald Trump announced that CNN, MSNOW, and Politico are no longer welcome at the White House.

Trump wrote on Truth Social:

I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW (who recently changed their name from MSNBC due to lack of viewership and credibility!), and Politico (The recipients of an illegal and ridiculous $8 Million Dollar subscription, an All Time Record, directly from the United States Government, under Crooked Joe Biden, in order to keep them “alive.” Seems like corruption to me!), from the White House as a result of their constant “reporting” FAKE NEWS! Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America. Other Fake News Media Outlets to follow. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

As of now, we don’t have more information.

Trump attempted to keep the Associated Press out of the Oval Office, Air Force One, and other spots when it refused to change the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America in its stylebook.

The AP sued the administration. The case is ongoing.

Good, don’t give their lies credibility by giving them place. Let them report from the outside where you know their lies have no credibility

Yes, they lie and are biased toward democrats. But this also brings to mind something Kevin Williamson wrote in 2015: “Journalism is not a field marked by notably high intellectual standards, but the four-year journalism degree enables the pretense that it is a profession, like medicine, rather than a trade, like lard-rendering.”

Olinser in reply to Ghostrider. | September 19, 2026 at 3:35 pm

Actually it WAS a highly skilled profession way back in the days of the Founding Fathers and the 1800s, because particularly in an era where literacy rates were not high, and you had to write by hand, being able to write down what people said accurately WAS a skill that took a long time to develop, and the entire operation of journalism from taking down what important people said fast, getting it to the printing presses, having them set accurately and quickly and printing off editions fast enough to be the first to be able to yell BREAKING NEWS on the street corners was basically an entire manufacturing operation that did require a lot of highly skilled people operating them.

The skills disappeared right about the time the printing presses did, though.

He should have someone put together a list of the lies and false reporting by these three organizations, in a presentation similar to the Declaration of Independence.

Publicly release such a document, and let the public see that he is not simply making wild claims.

And order all departments not to talk to them.

That would be far more effective. No on camera tv hits, no comment to any question asked by those ‘news’ orgs. Exclude them from direct receipt of any press release. Just pretend they don’t exist, like a crazy ex.

Ha ha! Let ’em have to operate like James O’Keefe!

And then instantly fire and remove the pension from ANY federal employee that gives then any form of information whatever, regardless of their position or status. The same with any of the military branches as well. The only exception would be if the government personnel are attending an “open to the general public” press conference.

MAJack in reply to puhiawa. | September 19, 2026 at 8:11 am

    FREEZE them out.

CNN, MSNOW and Politico will file for an emergency injunction and a federal judge will quickly grant their request.

However, I predict that, though they may be allowed in, no one will ever call on them again.

Then they will just file another lawsuit demanding that they be called on at every press conference.

The Judge will probably be Talwani or Bosberg. Just randomly drawn naturally (wink, wink).

Sadly, Lurch Boasberg is a hack “judge” who can make stupid rulings based on TDS, instead of taking things like facts and common sense into account.

The First Amendment grants freedom to the press to publish what they want, but it doesn’t guarantee access

The First Amendment does not allow the government to have a bias in what is said.

Not allowing “journalists” in the White House because of what they say or may say is certainly a bias against the speech of the reporters.

Trump is essentially saying “say what I want to say or you can’t be here.”

          That’s not Constitutional.

The First Amendment grants freedom to the press to publish what they want, but it doesn’t guarantee access

          Exactly.

The First Amendment does not allow the government to have a bias in what is said.

          Since when?

Trump is essentially saying “say what I want to say or you can’t be here.”

          That’s not Constitutional.

Why not? Being there is a gift, a privilege. It’s an invitation by the president, and he doesn’t have to invite people he doesn’t like. He can invite only his friends.

gonzotx in reply to Paula. | September 18, 2026 at 7:41 pm

    That was my thought

He should cast his mind back to his last administration and the time he tried to pull Jim Acosta’s press pass. Acosta sued and the judge basically told the administration, “You did it the wrong way; here, let me draw you a map of how to do it the right way”, but Trump lost interest and Acosta came back triumphantly.

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | September 18, 2026 at 8:57 pm

I’d make a joke here about Trump’s attention span, but,..
    Hey! Greenland!

I don’t get it. The Greenland negotiations have been going on since the beginning of the administration. Are you trying to say that Trump doesn’t give up and persists until he achieves his goal? Or are you saying that you are now distracted?

Throw the news maggots (carrion eaters) out if they can’t report the truth. No news is good news.

I don’t blame him but it won’t stand.

Fortunately or unfortunately, there is no legal requirement that news outlets report the “truth,” just as there is no requirement that politicians tell the “truth.”

Trump has a history of wanting unflattering remarks and statements be “banned,” (Long before he was even running for office.)”

This ban is something one would expect from Democrats. Well, that isn’t true. It is something that we have come to expect from politicians at all levels of government.

    Goeth.. Intercourse thyself.

During the Nuremberg trials, even the media was prosecuted and put to death for lying to the public

Despite your colorful invective, you are incorrect.

No “media” was ever put to death after the Nuremberg trials.

Propagandists who advocated for crimes against humanity, specifically the Jews, were held accountable but that is not the same thing that you claim is happening here with Trump’s “order.”

In the 2012 case of US v. Alverez the US Supreme Court ruled that mere lying is protected speech.

During the Nuremberg trials, even the media was prosecuted and put to death for lying to the public

      1. Not true.

      2. The Nuremberg trials were not conducted under any law known to man, and certainly not under the US constitution. They were explicitly declared to set no legal precedent.

Yeah totally different than the Biden Administration – he’s doing it legally:

    May 1, 2024
    Press Release
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Judiciary Committee and its Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released an interim staff report titled, “The Censorship-Industrial Complex: How Top Biden White House Officials Coerced Big Tech to Censor Americans, True Information, and Critics of the Biden Administration.” The report details the monthslong campaign by the Biden White House to coerce large companies, namely Facebook, Google, and Amazon, to censor books, videos, posts, and other content online. By the end of 2021, Facebook, YouTube, and Amazon changed their content moderation policies in ways that were directly responsive to criticism from the Biden Administration

American people are entitled to access. What gives those news agency the right to have access and others don’t. I say rotate who has access including the majors. If the majors are treated the same ways as everyone else, if they really test it, I think the majors are going to lose the special access they have.

You labor under the misconception that they’re news organizations. If you can’t see that, you’re a BIG part of the problem that threatens demise for the Republic. In reality they’re thinly veiled propaganda machines

During the Nuremberg trials, even the media was prosecuted and put to death for lying to the public

During the Nuremberg trials, even the media was prosecuted and put to death for lying to the public

      Except they weren’t.

So now that you have lied, can you be held accountable? Put in prison? Executed?

Should William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer have been prosecuted for their newspapers leading the US into the Spanish American Wars?

Should media during World War II have been prosecuted for their lies on such things a causalities?

What should happen when a politician like the President lies? Are you advocating their deaths as well?

I think you are correct. One question I have is what defines a “major” new agency or newspaper source? The internet has destroyed the subscriber-ship metric. The news amalgamators (AP, et al) are also irrelevant. How many “Page hits”? “Daily impressions?” “Views?” does MSNOW have in comparison to Breitbart? Anyone remember Time and Newsweek? Is either worthy of a guaranteed seat in a room of limited capacity?

Milhouse in reply to MarkSmith. | September 20, 2026 at 5:05 am

American people are entitled to access.

No, they aren’t. No one is entitled to access. It’s a privilege the president chooses to grant to those he wants to.

During the Nuremberg trials, even the media was prosecuted and put to death for lying to the public

That is not true, and in any case the Nuremberg trials do not set any legal precedent.

The yelping heard round the country….Trump ends free speech!

Trump has always had a thing against people and opinions with which he disagrees. Remember the lawsuit against the architecture critic who wrote that one of Trump’ buildings was ugly and a horrible design? Trump sued the man into oblivion.

It is not just a Trump thing.

Remember when the Obama administration started a website where children could report their parents for saying things that the administration thought were wrong and lies?

Remember the attacks led by the Biden administration against social media posts over COVID and the vaccine?

Politicians don’t like voices that disagree with them.

There’s a huge difference between exaggerations with minor consequences, and deliberate lies with major consequences. Trump has been the victim of the latter, perpetrated by the lying leftist media.

The lies about Covid were “minor consequences?”

        Can’t argue with that.

        Don’t want to even try.

The point is that all administrations and even local and state governments want to control the message and the media.

I think you’re lying about whether Trump was lying about Covid.

Actually, I don’t think you’re lying – I think you really believe what you wrote. Just like I think Trump really believed what liar Fauci told him about Covid.

It’s not as if their coverage will be affected or change one iota.

Of course they are screeching: reduced access cuts into their business model.

Trump’s other crime in this is doing out in the open what’s been SOP on the D-L for approximately ever.

The God Emperor’s(*) other Crime Against Media(tm) is holding the agenda, thus the initiative.

“Thank you for coming to this update on the conflict with Iran. Now questions? Yes, you…”

“When did Melania move out of the White House permanently, cause of that affair with your assistant; we have pics?”

“Well, in the last week we’ve launched 47 attacks on select coastal sites, destroying 47 of 47 objectives. That’s twice the results with half the hit pieces you’ve launched on that particular made up non-story. Next…”

Every Feckless R The Lightbringer “beat” failed by letting The Best Talker Ever set the agenda; wouldn’t pop back because that would be mean.

(Put a dog in a crate on top of a car. “Yeah, but mine lived. Yeah, but I don’t know what mine tastes like. Hey, at least I haul my own dogs… and arugula.”

Mighta been better if The Wan had picked up the phone when the 1980s called with their foreign policy.)

They’re not even mad that The Donald pops back; they’re mad that popping back, he shows what they’re doing — arguing policy by sliming the messenger. One longs for the direcness of a spear.

(*) That moniker which emerged from the dank underbelly of Teh Interwebz during Trump 1 points to exactly this. The God Emperor is the spectacle of The Empire. Control the attention; control the narrative.
