Hunter Biden Says He ‘May Have to’ Run for President in 2028

“No, I haven’t [thought of running],” Biden said. “Here’s my thing — if I announce for president, then somebody should check and see if I relapsed.”

Hunter Biden is still playing down the idea of running for president in 2028, though he joked Sunday that the right endorsement might change his mind.

The former president’s son told radio host John Catsimatidis that he “may have to” run for president in 2028 if Catsimatidis, a conservative donor and ally of President Donald Trump, gives him an endorsement. Biden initially said he had not made up his mind when asked about a possible campaign.

“If I get your endorsement, I may have to,” Biden told Catsimatidis. “The things I care most about is the 50 million Americans that are still suffering sick … with their addictions.”

Biden, 56, has spoken openly about his drug and alcohol addiction and said during the interview that he recently marked seven and a half years of sobriety.

The more revealing moment came when Catsimatidis asked Biden what would qualify him to become president.

“Here is my qualification for becoming president, if you believe in the Constitution of the United States of America that you swear to uphold and protect. I want the next president to commit to one thing: To adhering to the rule of law,” Biden said.

The “rule of law” pitch comes with considerable baggage; the kind that usually ends in a federal indictment.

A federal jury convicted Biden in 2024 on three felony gun charges stemming from his purchase of a firearm while he was using drugs. He later pleaded guilty to federal tax charges. Before Biden could be sentenced, then-President Joe Biden granted his son a full and unconditional pardon covering federal offenses committed between Jan. 1, 2014, and Dec. 1, 2024.

The possible presidential run marks a sharp reversal from what Hunter Biden said only three weeks ago.

During an Aug. 21 appearance on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Biden was asked whether he had thought about running for president.

“No, I haven’t [thought of running],” Biden said. “Here’s my thing — if I announce for president, then somebody should check and see if I relapsed.”

This time around, Biden also had kind words for the Democrats who may actually run.

He called the party’s potential 2028 field an “incredible bench,” mentioning Democrat Governors Andy Beshear (D-KY) and JB Pritzker (D-IL)  before adding, “I love Gavin Newsom, personally.”

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) has already acknowledged considering a White House run after the 2026 midterms. Other Democrats routinely discussed as possible candidates include former Vice President Kamala Harris, Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA), and former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

Hunter Biden did not announce a campaign. But three weeks after joking that a presidential run would be evidence of a relapse, he is clearly no longer dismissing the idea.

Totally crack addled. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Somebody needs to fit this imbecile for an “I Love Me” jacket…

Like father like son, corrupt and stupid to the core.

Of course he’ll run. It’s an easy con. Free donor money to pay yourself and all your family members as consultants. And you keep what is left afterwards.

    Anything but getting a job!

      Haven’t you heard?

      He’s an artist….a painter even.

There was another world leader that was a painter once…….can’t think of his name…..Made quite the splash in Ukraine too…..🤔

He learned it from the Big Guy, but if he wants to tap that cornucopia of corruption, he’d better ask quickly.

Of course, he could simply ask the autopen….

It’d be interesting to see how many (and who) would donate to this corrupt crackhead? Common sense says he wouldn’t get enough for a Greyhound bus ticket, but with the state of the Democrats (and the country) I could see him getting a surprising amount of money. Common sense seems to be dead.

You might want to check outside your boat licker crowd.

If Biden responded with: what qualifies me is I’m over 35 and born in the United States:.

I would have gave him a slow clap.

Just go away, and take your skank of a stepmother with you.

I can see it now, free crack for those who vote for Crack Pipe Biden. After reading the book The Big Guy, I wouldn’t vote for him for a dog catcher. He is morally bankrupt to the hilt. There would a string of whores living in the White House.

I prefer him to most of the DSA candidates.

thanks. I needed a good laugh.

“No ne’er-do-well, corrupt, grifting, avaricious, entitled, idle, shiftless, daughter-abandoning crackhead left behind.”

This idiot’s campaign slogan.

The Hunter Biden versus Kamala Harris versus AOC debate will be LIT.

LOL!

He wants to get his coke stash back outta the White House before they find it.

“He called the party’s potential 2028 field an “incredible bench,”
(Inigo Montoya): “I think the word you are looking for is “inconceivable.”

“The things I care most about is the 50 million Americans that are still suffering sick … with their addictions.”

Well, we’ve had Democrat administrations who abused and neglected the upstanding citizens taxpayers to cater preferentially to the shiftless, the mentally ill, the illegal aliens, and the grifting grant thieves. So why not another one designed to abuse and neglect them again, to cater to the voluntarily addicted?

Here is the quandary: After crack cocaine was found in the white house, I was the first one suspected. How can I use crack in the white house without being embarrassed or having my good name dragged through the mud?

I know. I will become president!

Second quandary: I am unfit. I can’t even run a hot dog stand, how can I run the country?

I know. My step-mother is chomping at the bit to get back into the white house. I’ll have her do it.

Why is he broke already?

Deadbeat Dad for President.

Was he high when he said this?

Imagine being so delusional.

Sadly, there are people who would vote for him.

That will be fun to watch. Seriously.

He may be sober, but based on his clear lack of humility he is not recovered.

His campaign slogan: “A car in every garage, a chicken in every pot, and cocaine in every nostril.”
