DHS has Deported Over 2,000 Known or Suspected Terrorists Since 2025
DHS also announced that ICE arrested some more of the “worst of the worst illegal aliens” on September 9.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) have deported over 2,000 known or suspected terrorists since President Donald Trump took office in January 2025.

DHS said ICE arrested more than 2,150 known or suspected terrorists between Jan. 20, 2025, and Sept. 9, 2026, and deported 2,015 during that period.
“As we reflect on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, the brave men and women of ICE continue to carry out their duty to protect the homeland and keep the American people safe,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in the department’s announcement.
Mullin said ICE had arrested more than 2,100 known or suspected terrorists and deported more than 2,000, adding that the anniversary underscored the department’s commitment to “eternal vigilance.”
The list includes terrorists and members of designated foreign terrorist organizations:
In June, federal authorities arrested Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, a Mexican national DHS described as the suspected ringleader of an alleged mass-casualty plot targeting UFC Freedom 250 at the White House.
DHS said Alvarez overstayed a visitor visa that expired in 2001 and later received DACA status in 2014. ICE lodged a detainer following his arrest.
Days earlier, ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested Felipe Linares De Oliveira Dell Aquilla, a Brazilian national DHS identified as a former commander of two designated foreign terrorist organizations.
Authorities said they recovered a handgun, cash and multiple electronic devices after a vehicle and foot pursuit in North Carolina.

“Yesterday, ICE law enforcement arrested murderers, pedophiles, stalkers, and other dangerous illegal aliens,” said Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin. “Despite sanctuary politicians’ attempts to harbor them, there will be no safe haven for illegal aliens under President Trump’s leadership. We will always put America first by arresting and removing illegal aliens who should have never been in our country at all. Deporting illegal aliens saves lives.”

We saw numerous military-aged males from China, Africa, and the Middle East cross the border during Biden’s term.
In May 2024, the Border Patrol reported that agents encountered over 52,000 Special Interest Aliens since October 1, 2023, the first day of the 2024 fiscal year.
Special interest aliens are those who come from countries with possible security concerns.
Those countries include Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Pakistan, Senegal, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Yemen.

Well, these are “actual terrorists,” not just illegal lowlifes.
Why? Seriously? Lemme help you out, Primarily due to
1. Lefty ideological resistance and lawfare by sanctuary jurisdiction
2. NGO and activist enablers of illegal aliens including religious charities from major denominations (it might be worthwhile for all of us to reevaluate our own support of any particular organized religious sect based on this)
3. Lots of dead wood/prior bad practices within the bureaucracy that takes time to clear away the old organizational culture
4. A judiciary which often seems hell bent on refusing to accept the limits of their authority/power throwing up all sorts of impediments before being reversed on appeal
Then there’s the cultural/societal aspects to be overcome and get folks onboard with new normal. Far too many industries have used cheap illegal alien labor into their business model. These corporations/industries are pushing back vigorously to keep cheap labor. Add the touchy feely Ned Flanders types suckered into accepting arguments about ‘illegal aliens just wanna opportunity here in the USA the best Nation in the world and they work hard, contribute to our prosperity’ nonsense which seeks to minimize their first act on US soil was to violate our laws.
Adherents of increased and centralized govt power would make the case that resistance to Flock cameras and AI as part of a surveillance state ‘necessary for our security’ is also enabling illegal aliens to avoid detection, detention and deportation.

We’re not yet at the point where Pinochet like tactics have enough appeal/acceptance to be employed so given the hurdles the Trump 2.0 Admin is doing ‘ok’. Personally I’d prefer far more workplace enforcement operations to include going after financial/banking enablers and a determination to identify, locate and root
out all visa overstay. Perhaps by requiring a sponsor for the visa applicant so there’s someone to hold accountable if the persons they sponsored doesn’t depart on time.
