U.S. Warns its Citizens to Leave Middle East Citing ‘Unforeseen Escalation’ With Iran

“Americans in the region should consider departing.”

U.S. embassies in Israel and several Middle Eastern nations urged American citizens to avoid regional travel due to a possible “unforeseen escalation” with Iran.

“Americans in the region should consider departing, or be prepared to depart should there be escalation,” The U.S. embassy in Jerusalem said in a security alert on Saturday. It further warned of  “flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions.”

U.S. nationals planning to visit the Middle East should “seriously reconsider travel to and through the region,” the advisory said.

The State Department fears further acts of Iranian aggression after a drone strike on a U.S. gas tanker in the Mediterranean Sea. “The Iranian regime is unpredictable, as seen by its recent decisions to attack areas in the region without warning or provocations as well as to expand attacks to areas not previously targeted,” the U.S. embassy cautioned, referring to the recent drone strike. “Americans should remain vigilant, as merely because U.S. interests or businesses have not been attacked in a country in the past does not ensure their safety.”

Iran continues its unprovoked attacks on international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The Islamic Guard (IRGC), on Friday, attacked two tankers being escorted by the U.S. Navy through the waterway.

The Guardian reported:

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Friday that the “non-compliant oil tankers … were struck and brought to a halt, while four other oil tankers quickly changed course and returned to their previous positions”. The military body said the ships had tried to pass through the strait via an “undeclared route” and under US aerial escort.

This comes in addition to the Iranian proxy terrorist group, the Houthis, blockading oil and gas shipments in the Red Sea strait of Bab el-Mandeb. In recent days, the Yemen-based Jihadi group has intensified drone and missile attacks on Saudi oil tankers, setting several of them on fire.

Meanwhile, the Iranian regime renewed its threats to assassinate President Trump, raising new billboards across Tehran. “A banner depicting a bloodied US President Donald Trump and the words ‘We will kill you’ sits next to an Iranian missile system,” Sky News reported Thursday.

Amid growing Iranian aggression, President Donald Trump is considering a new wave of strikes on regime targets — including its nuclear weapons facilities, news reports suggest. “President Trump has ordered the military to launch a fresh attack on Iran that could begin as soon as this weekend and last a few days,” The Wall Street Journal reported, quoting officials.

According to Axios on Friday, the president was “seriously considering launching attacks against energy targets in Iran in the next few days, but hasn’t given final orders to do it.”

Headlines from 1975. 🙄🙄🙄

Good lord, people. Get a clue. The world outside your little part of the U.S. of A is a dangerous place seething with resentment for the simple fact that you’re an American.

Your ancestors left Africa because the other humans were awful. They left the Middle East because the other humans sucked and there was too much sand. They left Europe for the same reason.

Stay home. And support policies that keep The Others in their home.

Why are Americans still in the Middle East? Anyone with common sense would have left months ago.

“A banner depicting a bloodied US President Donald Trump and the words ‘We will kill you’ sits next to an Iranian missile system,” Sky News reported Thursday.

Well… that escalated quickly.

“sits next to an Iranian missile system,”

– Why is this system still in one piece?

“including its nuclear weapons facilities”

Considering an attack?? What!! Wasn’t the whole point of this exercise
is to eliminate Iran’s ability to build a nuclear weapon? Why is this still allowed to exist in any capacity!

Unforeseen escalation. But . . . but . . . how could that be, exactly. We’ve been constantly assured by the Trump Administration and by the Trump bootlickers posting here on LI that the Iranian regime has been neutered and their military and nuclear ambitions completely decimated. But now we have to worry about “unforeseen escalation” of violence from the Iranian regime? What’s up with that. From what the public has been told the Iranian regime shouldn’t have any way to be able to ‘escalate” anything at this point. But they apparently do. And the merry-go-round continues to spin round and round. Where it will stop nobody knows.

eot

“Unforeseen escalation” does not necessarily mean “effective” escalation, but a single drone can ruin your entire day if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time.

There is also the threat posed by individual terrorists looking to kidnap or kill Americans. These threats don’t even need to come directly from Iran or even from Iranian assets.

Sometimes, Lucifer, you pretend to lack imagination just to make a point. It’s unbecoming of someone of your intelligence.

How in h**l is any escalation “unseen”?! Are you folks idiots?
You went to war against them. You dropped bombs on them and blew up (some) bridges and buildings. You killed their leaders. And you didn’t expect them to escalate?
And, you had the example of Israel to observe. They’ve had to do this multiple times. After 10/7, when Israel retaliated, didn’t the Gazans “escalate”?
