Group Called ‘Republicans for Talarico’ Exposed as a Scam
“Any chance that Talarico has building any type of Republican coalition is a pipe dream for him”
A group claiming to be made up of Republicans crossing party lines to vote for Democrat James Talarico in the Texas Senate race has been exposed as a scam. Talarico’s campaign is already distancing itself from it.
It began with a group of supposedly ‘Republican moms’ who claimed to support him.
Q: You’ve been Republicans for most of your voting lives. Who’s voting for James Talarico?
Republican moms: *all raise their hands*
“I like him. He was a middle school teacher in a public school in Texas, and they started cutting all his funding and he said, ‘Well, if I can’t… pic.twitter.com/65G2gihAiH

The Daily Wire did some digging and blew this wide open:
‘Republicans For Talarico’ Exposed As Complete Scam
Leftist outlet MS NOW aired a segment featuring three Texas women who identified themselves as Republicans and vowed to cross over for James Talarico — but records show at least some of them have voted in Democratic primaries and donated to liberal candidates and causes.
Talarico, who has sparked backlash for his fringe views on Christianity, affection for transgender children, and disdain for the American flag, is banking on Republican crossover support to become the first Texas Democrat elected statewide in decades.
“Republicans for Talarico is as real as the six genders that Talarico claims exist, but has yet to explain what they are. This lame rebrand of White Dudes for Kamala is full of lifelong Democrat donors, activists, and other losers,” RNC spokesman Zach Kraft said in a statement to The Daily Wire.
That “rebrand” was put on display earlier this month when MS NOW aired a segment from the political show “Long Play,” featuring three white women from Tarrant County who portrayed themselves as disgruntled conservatives eager to vote for one of the most liberal candidates in Texas to run for federal office. The exchange went viral after Talarico’s campaign seized on the segment, dubbing the women “Republican Moms.”
During the segment, former school board candidate Mindy McClure described herself as a “moderate Republican,” but as the saying goes, follow the money. Federal Election Commission filings show McClure has repeatedly given through ActBlue to Democratic candidates and anti-Trump groups dating back to 2018, including the Lincoln Project and Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign.
There is more if you want to read the whole thing.
RNC Chair Joe Gruters called this a pipe dream.
From FOX News:
Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico needs to flip some Republican voters this November to win in the largest red state in the U.S., but his opponents are calling out claims of Republicans backing him as inauthentic, if not fraudulent.
“Any chance that Talarico has building any type of Republican coalition is a pipe dream for him,” Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters told Fox News Digital in an interview. “Nobody is going to follow him. He’s completely out of touch with Texans.”
Gruters’ rebuke came after women voters interviewed on MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” claimed to be Republican crossover supporters, only to have longstanding ties to Democrats and anti-President Donald Trump groups — not exactly people that would be voting for Republican Senate nominee Ken Paxton in one of the Senate’s biggest ticket races in the battle for the majority.
Some polls are showing Talarico ahead, but after what has happened recently in Michigan and Wisconsin, there is reason to doubt them.

Of course it was a scam…..right out of the D-party playbook.
Just call him Mr Phooey..
I doubt this is intended to help Talarico’s Quixotic candidacy at the polls. This feels like something designed to keep campaign donations coming in so Talarico’s consultants can continue to draw paychecks.
No kidding. One could smell that as biz as usual all the way here to NC, in my cottage, in my office and under my keyboard.
Is anybody ever convinced by any group or any advertising? The most that can be done is build name recognition and throw a bit of shade on opponents. I doubt any republican was going to run out and vote for this nutball loser because of the existence of this group.
Yes. The morons are convinced. Too bad there are so many of them.
We are awash in a sea of morons…
One word; ShamWow. There’s goofy/fake sorts of ‘golly as a (man/woman life long GoP) I just can’t support the GoP candidate (whiff of disappointment) so I’m backing the d/prog who is totally not a woke weirdo’ IMO don’t move the needle at all.
Seriously though there have been some very effective political ads. Reagan’s ‘There’s a bear in the woods’ and ‘Morning in America’ ads. The Willie Horton ads. Even LBJ’s Daisy ad which only aired once but was repeatedly clipped and talked about was very effective in framing Goldwater as loose cannon eager to nuke commies.
That putz has a face that begs to be punched, good and hard. Just for being such a pathetic p*ssy. Yeah. No. He is not Senate material. Not by a long shot. A knob jobber working a glory hole? Yeah, I suspect he is immensely qualified.
Of course it was a f88king scam! Anyone capable of rubbing two or more functioning brain cells together knew these people were about as Republican as Democrats are attached to reality!! 🤣🤣 🤡
Republicans For Talarico was as authentic as the dipshits at The Bulwark.
It’s spelled: democrat DESPERATION.
Operation Demoralize. It happens every election cycle mainly because conservatives are easily demoralized. We expect everything we voted for done, fixed and that’s it. Conservatives are normal people with normal lives and other responsibilities. Democrats live eat and breathe politics. Winning politically is as vital to them as oxygen, blood and food and water.
Nothing different than callers that Rush Limbaugh constantly demolished, who claimed to be life-long Republicans then argued for Democrat points.
Even the folks in Rio Linda had to know this one was fake.
👍
So… ghey AND now officially fake.
So, basically it was just like dudes for Harris. Except nobody said they eat carburetors for breakfast
Way back in the olden days I remember a group called “Democrats for Nixon”. At my tender young age of 11 I wondered how this could possibly be, as my parents both thought Nixon to be the devil.
Move up to 1968. Nixon is president. We get wage and price controls, affirmative action, the EPA, and other democrat dreams. Democrats for Nixon indeed.
And Dems still hated Nixon. Democrats like Islam and communism can never be given enough.
They hated him because he nailed their boy, Alger Hiss.
The one with the glasses looks like “Rachel” Levine!
He keeps popping up on my youtube asking for just $5, or even just $1. I don’t seem to get any other political ads, just his. Youtube allows you to block individual ads, but not advertisers; each time I block one of his ads it tells me I won’t ever see that ad again, but I will continue to see other ads from the same advertiser.
When we were vacationing in Brandon Herrera territory (Texas hill country) in June, I couldn’t pull up a YT video without seeing his punchable face whining for money before every single one. (Which was sort of ROFL, given the types of videos he ended up “introducing” on my account,) But absolutely nowhere else except within Texas.
Maybe he’s getting antsy and sending Hail Marys out to NY liberals.
Out of everything, it is these false flag operations of theirs I despise the most.
Li’l Jimmy Low-T has more support from Jazzie Crockashett supporters than he does GOPers.
