Rhode Island Democrat Lawmaker Posts Ominous ‘Day of Reckoning’ Tweet About ICE

“Your day of reckoning will come motherf**kers. I swear to god.”

I think at this point that it’s pretty clear there are elected Democratic officials in this country who don’t give a rat’s patootie whether their incendiary rhetoric about federal immigration enforcement officers will be used as inspiration by the radical left to commit violence.

That certainly appears to be the case with Rhode Island state Rep. Enrique Sanchez (D-Dist. 9, Providence), who, over the last year and a half, has made it his mission to try and thwart the Trump administration’s immigration policies, especially when it comes to deportations.

For instance, a year ago, he posted the following tweets about “Nazi Gestapo ICE thugs” who were in Rhode Island and arrested one of his “neighbors”:

What Sanchez left out was why the “neighbor” was being arrested, according to ICE sources who spoke with Fox News at the time:

ICE was targeting a Honduran known MS-13 gang member, IVAN RENE-MENDOZA MEZA, who had pending local charges in RI for fentanyl trafficking and had been released from local custody with ICE’s detainer ignored due to sanctuary policies. I’m told it was the 6th District Court in RI that ignored ICE’s detainer.

When ICE agents attempted a traffic stop to arrest MENDOZA MEZA, he struck ICE vehicles before bailing out of his car and running into an apartment. He was surrounded and eventually surrendered. I’m told it was ICE vehicles and his own car that were damaged.

Sanchez didn’t care, though. He’d already set the twisted “Nazi” narrative, and he was committed to seeing it through:

“I’m willing to accept my mistake or my error of maybe you know not mentioning that, or defending someone who was dealing with drug trafficking, but in the meantime, I can’t stay quiet about this [I.C.E. presence in Providence],” said Sanchez. “I don’t hold back my words on how I label the ICE officials….If you choose to not believe history, or watch history, or read history, then that’s your problem. But when you do the compare and contrast of the situations in the 40s to what we’re dealing with now, it’s the same thing.”

For a guy who had previously declared he’d do “everything in my power” to protect criminal illegal aliens,  it wasn’t exactly a surprise:

Two weeks later, Sanchez amped up the rhetoric, tweeting that “It will be soon the day that I confront these Nazi ICE thugs in person for terrorizing our communities. It will be a day of reckoning and no going back.”

Not surprisingly, DHS responded accordingly:

He’s also posted in the past about being willing to “get arrested and prosecuted” and even “go down” in confrontations with ICE agents if it meant protecting his “neighbors”:

Here we are in 2026, and nothing has changed about Sanchez. If anything, he’s gotten worse in his anti-ICE ranting and raving:

DHS has again pushed back, pointing to “neighbors” of Sanchez’s who they’ve taken into custody:

Though Sanchez has talked tough on his social media platform, posting things that some would argue crossed the line into an actual threat, the only thing he’s ever been arrested for in recent years was an incident in early 2025 where he was pulled over on suspicion of driving drunk:

Between Sanchez and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, obviously Democrats aren’t sending their finest to serve in government… or maybe they are, and this is it. Sad.

Follow the money….. I’d say the odds that he, or one of his friends, profits from illegal immigrant trafficking or drug trafficking.

Claims to know history yet has no clue what the Gestapo did and even has the decade wrong.. Utterly discouraging that such an ignorant buffoon gets even a single vote.

He’s using the au courant talking point of the democrat socialist communists: day of reckoning.
Some other DSA candidate called for a day of reckoning; maybe it was the Ethiopian communist bint runniing for Senate. Good Lord.

We probably shouldn’t wait for a deranged lunatic to act on his words to trigger the apparently inevitable not-so-Civil War,. Instigators like this communist deserve pre-emptive action. So sick of this excrement.

Sanchez gets caught driving drunk? Was he wearing a sombrero too? Since we’re adhering to stereotypes

Just Democrats. Lump them all together. This Democrat tub of lard will make a big greasy spot when he decides to ‘reckon’ with an armed Federal law enforcement agency.

The latest mantra among the D communists calling themselves socialists is “day of reckoning.” Sounds like a threat to the rest of us. They want us to cower in fear. What the rest of us need to do is resist and reject their BS and then reclaim what they’ve stolen. The Smithsonian hearings the other day are a good example of this. Brendan Gill exposed and denounced the social activist nonsense being promoted by the Smithsonian. Now it is up to the government to reclaim or shut down the Smithsonian until changes in leadership take place.

Oh, for the love of God… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If ICE were NAZI Gestapo, we wouldn’t have an illegal alien problem!

¿Hay preguntas?

If ICE were actually the Geheime Staatspolizei (Gestapo) then people like Sanchez wouldn’t be a problem. The Gestapo weren’t know for their political tolerance and put people in concentration camps just for their political viewpoints. Just saying.

Maybe this bigmouth is an illegal himself!

Yes, Sanchez and Whitehouse ARE among the best RI has to offer. Truly deep and independent thinkers.

I saw this story the other day. He’s utter trash affected with some kind of all or nothing syndrome. He should be happy to have the criminal element in his district removed. Makes his district safer. That he isn’t demonstrates a low IQ and perhaps some corruption that just hasn’t come to light yet. This is the same for all democrats that rant about ICE.

With his all-or-nothing, black-or-white, refusal-to-see-another-point-of-view attitude, he’s either on the autism spectrum or amazingly arrogant with a touch of socioipathy thrown in. Maybe a mix of all the above. I feel for his family, if he has one.

In Providence-9, a “day of reckoning” is when the local packie is out of ‘gansett.

Nazi Gestapo is redundant and God should be capitalized.

Plus, and also, in addition to, that being said, he is a brutal, ugly fat pig.

The Gestapo was 1% of the nazi party so they are not the same. Some people had to join the nazi party either for their job or to survive but the gestapo were true believers and the secret police.

Cool. ICE should definitely pay him a visit to discuss his plans for unlawfully interfering in Federal LEO operations. Probably should make it multiple visits to his home, employer, his family members homes and their employers, his neighbors and their employers. That way they can get a more complete picture of whether this guy is full of crap or serious. Since they gonna be there anyway, might as well conduct immigration checks and workplace enforcement as well. Probably should bring the IRS, SSA and OSHA along to dot I and cross t on all the paperwork on the employers. I’m sure everyone will be very happy with Mr Sanchez for drawing them into that.

I don’t know how you would distinguish what he wrote from Clarence Brandenburg’s speech:

The Klan has more members in the State of Ohio than does any other organization. We’re not a revengent organization, but if our President, our Congress, our Supreme Court, continues to suppress the white, Caucasian race, it’s possible that there might have to be some revengeance taken.
