Piers Morgan Excoriates Cornell Student Who Said He Won’t Work for Jews

“I just find it incredibly depressing that a young man given the privilege that you’ve had, to go to a top university, could be this thick.”

British broadcaster Piers Morgan recently spoke to Austin Franco, the Cornell student who has been in the news for the past few months over antisemitic remarks he made about a potential employer.

The Cornell Daily Sun reported in June:

Student Writes ‘Not Interested in Working for a Jew’ on Handshake, Cornell Reports Bias Incident

The University reported Austin Franco ’28 to the Office of Civil Rights for a bias incident in which he responded to a job offer with “Not interested in working for a jew. Thanks.” on Handshake, according to a June 8 X post from Gabe Einhorn, co-founder and CEO of the company which Franco was accepted to. The Sun spoke to Franco and Einhorn following the incident.

Franco initially applied to a growth/sales role at Einhorn’s real estate startup, VrfyID, on May 26 through Handshake, a digital hiring platform, according to Einhorn. He was accepted in the first round and Gabe’s brother Aiden, who co-founded VrfyID, asked to set up a time for a meeting on May 29. Franco responded the same day with times he was available. Gabe told The Sun that both him and Aiden then offered two dates for students to attend, neither of which Franco went to. When Aiden followed up on June 8 to ask Franco about his attendance, Franco responded with “Not interested in working for a jew. Thanks.”

Morgan sat looking somewhat horrified as Austin spoke in his own defense, then let him have it.

Partial transcript:

Austin Franco: I’ve had enough experiences that were displeasing, that I didn’t want to be around them. You know, it’s just a preference and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

You know, if you had a problem with Asian people or midgets, right, like you know – Let’s say you’re around ten midgets, right? And all of them are really mean to you, they step on your feet. Right? You’re gonna say, OK, I don’t want to be around you anymore. And if your boss is somehow a midget, you’re gonna say, I don’t want to work for you because you’re a midget.

It might not be a nice thing to say, but is it really worth losing our marbles over this, like the Jewish community did within America? Saying, we’re gonna make this kid unemployable? Let’s ruin his life, let’s kick him out of Cornell? I mean it’s really ridiculous.

Piers Morgan: Actually, if you don’t mind me saying, what you just said, is more ridiculous, isn’t it?
I mean, what on earth has this got to do with… with… as you put it, midgets?

I just find it incredibly depressing that a young man given the privilege that you’ve had, to go to a top university, could be this thick. Or worse, not care about what you’re saying and the consequences to a huge number of people around the world who see a young, arrogant, kid, who wants to brazenly espouse antisemitism in interviews like this.

And shame on you, and shame on everyone that has made you like this.

Piers Morgan isn’t always great but he was outstanding in this. Watch:

Let’s just call this moron what he is, a racist! A true blue racist to the core who is using the race of someone to determine whether he will ship that person off to be cremated for the crime of being a Jew.

The kid is honest… completely execrable but honest. I’m sure there are antisemites out there willing to hire him.

Then let those birds of a feather flock together. This boy has a long road to travel to genuine manhood. If he ever gets there.
    .

He made the error of saying “Jew” instead of “Zionist”. Had he said he didn’t want to work for the latter there would have been no issue.

Some Communist needs to teach him to holler about “genocide in Palestine” whenever challenged by media dimwits like Piers Morgan. You can publicly call for the deaths of Jews all day long so long as you call them Zionists.

One thing you can say about him is that he hasn’t learned the first rule of holes. I am wondering if he is as stupid as he sounds or that he just doesn’t care that people think he is an antisemite.

Nor has he learned that $ in hand has no conscience, no pretensions to ‘morality’ much less some sort of inherent purity by source.

In the wretched and vile leftist/Dhimmi-crat/”progressive” salons and milieus in which this idiot marinates and spends his time, casual Jew-hate is so commonplace that he’s accustomed to expressing his bigotry in the most flippant and nonchalant manner, possible.

It’s okay. We don’t want to hire him. I;m sure in 10 years he’ll be posting a tik tok about how he can’t get a job because those evil Jews are everywhere,

Exactly! If you look at his major he’s getting an overpriced degree in woke human resources. You can get that degree at my local community college. Didn’t need Cornell for that. I think the Jewish people of America are fortunate not to have this bigot as a future employee. Good luck paying off your student loans loser!

Well he can always get a job working for the DSA and Mamdopey I suppose? They will love his value system that’s for sure.

I was eating my alphabets cereal on morning and the word Jew popped up in my milk.
Theyre everywhere!!!

He might have to go to work for Mamdani or Piker or maybe Omar or Tlaib or some other “nice” Jew hater.

You get more holidays working for a Jew.

My first year at a predominantly Jewish high school I showed up on Yom Kippur and didn’t understand where everyone was! Being Irish I had no idea there were other religious holidays that would get you out of school. Confused, I went to the office to find out what was going on. The nice lady looked up from her desk and said, “What the hell are you doing here? Go home!” It was the beginning of a lifelong respect for others who take holidays seriously! From that point on I would stay out of school in solidarity with my Jewish friends. Good times.

The vile, stupid and evil leftists/Labour/Dhimmi-crats/communists/”Democratic Socialists” (communists, re-branded)/”progressives”/Islamofascists/Muslim supremacists have mainstreamed Jew-hate, worldwide.

This idiot’s flippant, casual bigotry is a reflection of that.

I’ve had more “displeasing experiences” with Catholics. I worked for one a couple years before we parted ways when he found he was dying of brain cancer he rushed to anyone he had wronged to buy his stairway to heaven. His humility didn’t feed my family years later.

I just find it incredibly depressing that a young man given the privilege that you’ve had, to go to a top university, could be this thick.

I doubt Piers Morgan is being sarcastic here. He really is clueless what type of graduates “top universities” routinely barf out.

I would have trapped him by suggesting the same scenario but with women basically disqualifying himself from working for half of the population. Then, if he tries to suggest that group is too big you can catch him for being bigoted against smaller groups for convenience.

Also I’m wondering if he’s not a proper lefty considering he began with the word “midget”. That was really not smart.

The only shocking thing is how a Cornell education makes him feel perfectly at ease mouthing these views openly when looking for his first job. Good manners and common sense alone should make this almost impossible. He could have politely declined the job citing other reasons and kept his views to himself and a few like minded friends. Please don’t get on your high horses about how men should all be angels and hold no prejudices. What is important is that those prejudices not disrupt good order and harm others. This school is an abomination.

Austin is 19 years old, so I am tempted to cut him a wee bit of slack for his initial offensive statement. But the excuse of inexperience youth only takes him so far. I wonder what his parents think about their hateful child. Are they horrified? I know those on the left are only unhappy that he said the quiet part out loud.

It would have been much better for Piers to explained why Austin’s personal project will fail. It’s systemic problem on the right that people with large platforms don’t understand Gen Z. Instead of shaming him, Piers should have explained that Austin doesn’t have the personal charisma to build an audience the way Fuentes, Carlson or other successful Jew-baiters have done. This kid thinks he’s going into politics or media on the alt-right because his peers are also anti-Semites. Unpacking that and explaining why Austin has ruined his life BEYOND a normal job would have actually sunk the ship. He has no political skills and he’s not a talking head anyone wants to watch. His delusions of grandeur will ultimate dissolve into actual regret when his alt-right career fails too. Piers gave Austin exactly the interview Austin wanted: shaming. He should have dissected Austin’s psychology and doomed future instead.

First, I wouldn’t work for the mimes, and the mimes remained silent, not like those mouthy little midgets who stepped on my feet, … and don’t get me started on those Jews! ….
