NYC Democrat Socialists Say They’re Coming For The School Kids

At this blog and our sister projects CriticalRace.org and EqualProtect.org, we’ve been covering the leftist takeover of education for approaching 20 years. So you know how deep it goes, and how it has moved from the college campuses into K-12 and the professional schools.

The Democratic Socialists of America are surging in the Democrat Party, particularly after the election of Islamo-Marxist Zohran Mamdani as Mayor of New York City. DSA sees an opportunity, and they are coming straight for your kids.

The NY Post wrote about it, DSA targets NYC public school kids in radical takeover:

The Democratic Socialists of America are plotting a radical takeover of NYC public schools, with comrades admitting they want to mold a new generation of baby Bolsheviks, The Post has learned.Maureen Fadem — yet another nutty professor working for a CUNY school — called for kids to be educated in a “democratic socialist frame” and to be taught the Godfathers of Communism Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, despite their writing inspiring some of the most murderous dictators in history, from Stalin to Mao.“We need to overhaul the curriculum in a class consciousness frame. . . . The curriculum as a whole needs to be relooked at, revisioned and reframed,” the CUNY Kingsborough Community College professor said.In addition to students being schooled in “class consciousness” — the radical Marxist idea that business owners are at war with their workers and all private property should be revoked — Fadem also said that teachers must be educated in “race consciousness.”

I had a chance to talk about the NY Post report and the larger issue with Laura Ingraham. Note, the preceding segment regarded the Minnesota grade school planning to hand out transgender dolls with removable genitals, so some of those graphics carried over to my segment.

Ingraham:…. Here with reaction, William Jacobson, Cornell University Law Prof, Equal Protection Project founder. All right, professor, but they’re not trying to brainwash the kids, are they? This is just all gender fun and Carl Marx fun?WAJ:They are coming directly for your children. People need to understand that. The craziness that started on the college campuses has migrated off the college campuses. The student activists and the professor activists are now going for kids in kindergarten.K-12 is their main focus now, because they know if they can indoctrinate children to hate their country, to hate their parents, to hate capitalism, and if they do it relentlessly, they can change society. And that’s what they’re trying to do. Nobody should kid themselves. This is extremely serious. It’s been going on for a long time, but not quite so bold. They are emboldened by their win in the New York City Mayor’s race, and they’re going straight for the children.Ingraham:And I think you hit the nail on the head when you talked about turning kids against their parents, because the family is still the traditional structure left in the United States. Every family has their problems, its problems, every family’s different. Yeah, we get that. But still, there’s a modicum of order and tradition and we would hope respect. They want to shatter that. That’s why you got to get them young. And people can laugh off the dolls, isn’t that funny? But, you know, when kids are learning and maybe kids are a little confused, maybe they’re having a little difficult time or they’re shy or autistic, funnels them right into a particular shute that they end up in. And that’s where they think they can take them all the way to Marxism.WAJ:And they’re not shy about that. If you listen to what they’re saying, that is their goal. They want to tear down the capitalist system. They think they can do it through the children. And they might be right. Look at what’s happened so far. The popularity of socialism among younger people is astronomical at this point. So this is a move towards the kids that has been going on for a long time, for over a decade, but it’s now being accelerated by the DSA wins.Ingraham:For longer than that. I mean, I think it’s been going on for, you know, 50 years. And conservatives kind of gave up on the university. They’re like, go and do, be investment bankers and consultants and lawyers and stuff. And that’s fine. But the university and the classroom, other than parents, is where most of the change and influence happens.
