Mount Holyoke Mandates DEI Training for Official Student Group Recognition

Mount Holyoke mandates DEI training, ‘anti-racist plans’ for official student group recognition
Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts requires student organizations to complete Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training and develop “anti-racist plans” before becoming officially recognized and eligible for student activity funding.
The requirement applies to all recognized student organizations, club sports, and interest groups. Student groups must complete the required training before receiving official recognition from the college.
After two student officers complete the training, each organization must create or update an “anti-racist plan.”
”As an outcome of these training sessions, student groups will be creating anti-racist plans for their organization,” the college states. “Many groups have begun to create plans, but it is important for this work to be ongoing and for rising group leaders to have the opportunity to participate in training and bring ideas back to their group.”
Official recognition allows student organizations to receive funding and host events on campus.
Mount Holyoke charges undergraduates a mandatory $272 annual student activity fee, a portion of which is distributed through the Student Government Association (SGA). Recognized student organizations are eligible to receive funding through the SGA.
The requirement dates back to 2020, when student organizations began participating in “anti-racist training” through two workshops titled “Foundational Anti-racism Training” and “How To Create An Inclusive Anti-racism Action Plan.”
The required training is administered by Mount Holyoke’s Office of Community and Belonging. According to the office, its mission is to foster “a sense of belonging and connectedness for all students by providing services that promote social justice, liberatory consciousness, and identity exploration.”

More like fostering “a sense of belonging and connectedness for all students…” except for some certain students. And if there were cisgender men at Mt. Holyoke, that group of exceptions would be larger.
“Higher education” is too corrupted to be saved.
Close the schools. Fire the staff. Raze the buildings. Plow the land. Plant corn.
