Med School Deans Stumble and Stammer at Hearing When Asked Who Can Have Babies

Med School Deans Stumble and Stammer at Hearing When Asked Who Can Have Babies

“vast majority of pregnancies are in women”

Two academic leaders from medical schools struggled to give direct answers about which types of people can have babies during a House hearing on DEI in medical schools on Tuesday.

We are in serious trouble as a country if we cannot agree on basic, scientific facts like these:

Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL): Dr. Hawgood, UCSF’s [University of California – San Francisco] classroom guide titled “Framework for Gender and Sex Concepts in Teaching” advises against using the term “pregnant women. Instead, it says to use “pregnant people.”

Who are pregnant people compared to pregnant women? Just curious.

Dr. Sam Hawgood, Chancellor of UCSF: So that is a part of a curriculum to help our students who are facing a wide diversity of patients. Of course, the vast majority of pregnancies are in women, and I have absolutely no problem with using the word “pregnant women.” I use it myself.

Miller: Has a non-biological woman ever had a baby?

Hawgood: A transgender person can.

Miller: That’s not a biological woman. Has a non-biological woman ever had a baby?

Hawgood: I would reiterate…

Miller: No. It’s ridiculous.

Hawgood: …we take care of transgender patients.

Watch the two clips below:

Miller stumped Dr. Steve Dubinett, dean of the UCLA School of Medicine:

Miller: Can someone have a uterus but not be a woman? Because it seems like your school is promoting that ridiculous idea.

Dubinett: I think, again, as Dr. Hoggood has described, we’re treating transgender people, but we’re doing that in compliance with state and federal law.

Miller: And you do teach biology?

Dubinett: Yes we do.

Miller: I’m gonna ask you again. Can someone have a uterus and not be a woman? Just say yes or no. Can they?

Dubinett: Again, I would, I would need to…

Miller: That’s what your medical school is promoting.

This was another exchange. From FOX News:

“Lastly, Dr. Dubinett, a required course at UCLA medical school advises ob-gyn students not to, and, I quote, assume gender identity,” Miller told Dr. Steve Dubinett, dean of UCLA School of Medicine.

“OK, from another class in May of 2026. It included a disclaimer that while it uses the term she and women, it does not intend to exclude, and I quote, ‘those who have a uterus but do not identify with these terms.’ What does that even mean?”

Watch his response:

During the same hearing, Rep. Jahana Hayes (D-CT) chastised the deans for not injecting colonialism into the curriculum:

I am incredibly disappointed that, as academic deans, you could not immediately answer the question about teaching colonialism in healthcare. Teaching colonialism directly addresses the systemic roots of healthcare inequities. It exposes how historic power structures dictate who receives quality care. It’s important for future doctors to have that education, to recognize how that historic legacy promotes biases and and negatively impairs outcomes. That’s why you teach colonialism in healthcare.

I am equally as disappointed to hear that we have deans from California universities, specifically, who can’t immediately say that the Black Panther Party was central to healthcare discussions.

The root of this entire problem is fear of the left. You can see and hear it in the responses of these deans. People in higher education are absolutely terrified by the idea of a mob of leftists coming after them for not affirming their views.

Until we get past that, none of this will change.

Sounds like someone needs a Bio 101 refresher, but not at his medical school. This is what happens when all your funding comes from the gov’t.

The scientific method is mocking him with howls of derisive laughter at this woke fool. Remember this when they are trying to do a Pap smear from your prostate gland….

An incredibly disappointed black woman

This warrants investigation.

The deans can go home, get drunk and keep their jobs now.

Utterly immoral people. What they will go through in public forum to keep their standing in the Democrat party pecking order.

Looks like these academics are cowering over the possibility that should they voice the truth and the verminous Democrats then again power, the medical schools’ federal funding will be reduced in payback. It appears we’re back to the situation portrayed in the 1937 novel The Mortal Storm (by Phyllis Bottome). In the novel a Jewish biology professor is harassed and later interned (and dies) in a concentration camp when he refuses to agree with a Hitler Youth student’s claim that Aryan blood is superior to other kinds. The professor steadfastly insists that science shows blood is blood and there is no such thing as Aryan blood—even when “official state policy” says otherwise. The panel of professors in this article intend not to fall into this trap. They prefer to cower before their would be leftist overlords—better federal funding than the scientific truth that men can’t be women, nor can women be men.

Always follow the money. Past time to turn K-Street into a park and eliminate these grifters who – not can’t, but won’t – say truth to common sense fact because they’ll lose “their” funding. Uh…dolts…here’s a clue: it’s OUR money. These Bums need to stand on their own two feet and allow the market to decide. Stuff is getting old.

Hannibal Lecter, Jeff Dahmer, most alligators, certain sharks… 🙂

Did anyone ask how many trans women have had babies?

As stated before, stop federal funds for all education. It worked that way for couple hundred years. It has to stop,. Benefits: back to basics at all levels. No funding for colleges or universities. Content matters – when content is taught, English is mandatory for all, our nation will become creative, inventive and yes, great again..

As a practicing heterosexual, I can say without any fear of contradiction two things:

1) Women have uteruses, the only human organ capable of human gestation.

2) Males, having no said organ, cannot gestate.

Period. End of story. No equivocation permitted. It is as God intended and no man or woman is capable of altering God’s design.

When someone tries to convince you otherwise, three things are possible:

1) That person is way to the left edge of the IQ bell curve,

2) That person is evil,

3) That person is mentally ill.

Then again, it could be all three, now couldn’t it?

It’s a man’s right to have babies.

Defund the universities. For the love God, defund these cesspits of demonic insanity.

Now I see the reason hate crime legislation came into being. The fear on the faces of these people to not say anything that might literally kill them is a cancer on a civil society. The only way to get rid of this scourge is to make it a serious jail time crime to specifically threaten anyone for toeing the Leftist line.

How can they sit there and embarrass themselves. Do they care about their jobs that much?? Seriously. No self-respect at all?

As for colonialism in healthcare – how stupid can you get? Who the F cares. Colonialism occurred everywhere. It is occurring today in our country, I’m more concerned doctors know who is a woman. I’m not so sure that is the case these days,

How can we trust anything about the medical profession when these are the people who control who gets into it?

This is why the medical so-called “profession” is losing all credibility and respect.

These quacks pretend not to know things and gladly violate every canon of known biology throughout human existence in order to receive federal funding.

He’s between a rock and a hard place. He knows he looks stupid as he tries not to anger his base, but doesn’t have the courage to speak the truth.

I worked with these type of woke Drs
They hated me, I couldn’t stay silent
Glad I was old enough to retire and get SS/ Medicare
Cause they would have found a way, I’m sure a few had gone to Administration over my non compliance with their insanity

Well, you know what they say! Some ideas are so utterly stupid and inane that only a college professor would believe them.

I’m baffled by the fact that people consistently confuse biological sex (male – female, which is binary), gender (masculine – feminine, which is a continuum – individuals have characteristics from both), and sexual orientation (four values: asexual – bisexual – biological male – biological female). When I was young, we didn’t have transgender – you might be a sissy or a tomboy – but we never considered trying to change your biological sex. That doesn’t change – but gender and sexual orientation often change over a lifetime.
