American Federation of Teachers Union Adopts Resolution Supporting ‘Gender-Affirming’ Care
“and pledging to challenge Trump administration healthcare policies through litigation”

AFT adopts resolution supporting ‘gender-affirming’ care, vows legal challenges to Trump policies
The American Federation of Teachers (AFT), the nation’s second-largest teachers union representing approximately 1.8 million members, adopted a resolution on July 19 supporting access to “gender-affirming care” across “all stages of life” and pledging to challenge Trump administration healthcare policies through litigation.
The resolution, titled “Protecting Medical Research, Healthcare Access and Health Equity for LGBTQIA+ Communities,” commits the union to supporting “policies that protect and expand access to affordable, evidence-based healthcare, including preventive services, behavioral health care, HIV services, gender-affirming care, and culturally competent healthcare for LGBTQIA+ patients across all stages of life.”
The resolution was adopted as the Trump administration has moved to restrict “gender transition” procedures for minors. Recently, several university-affiliated medical systems have announced changes to their pediatric gender transition procedures following federal policy changes, including Penn Medicine, the University of Chicago Medicine, and Rush University Medical Center.
The resolution also states that the union will oppose “efforts to censor, restrict, politicize, or eliminate scientific and medical research related to sexual orientation, gender identity, HIV prevention and treatment, mental health, health disparities and other areas essential to understanding and addressing the healthcare needs of LGBTQIA+ people.”
Beyond policy advocacy, the resolution commits the AFT to “support and, where appropriate, participate in litigation, amicus briefs, administrative challenges and other legal advocacy efforts” to defend access to “gender-affirming care” and challenge what it describes as unlawful discrimination in healthcare programs.

They really should be decertified if they’re going to advocate the harm of children. None should be allowed into our schools (public or private) anywhere.
Its child abuse. Shut it down.
Line all the delegates up and make sure every one of them gets some.
Hopefully, health care professionals will stop being Frankenstein because the financially risk will be too high because of lawsuits and inability to get malpractice coverage.
And again…
Close the schools. Fire the staffs. Raze the buildings. Plow the land. Plant corn.
I know, it’s a broken record, but when are people going to wake up and realize that schools no longer teach, they indoctrinate?
