Just last week, it was revealed that Harvard has a huge mental illness problem, and now this.
The New York Post reports:

An eye-popping number of students at the elite UC Berkeley School of Law claim to have a “psychological” or other mental disabilities, according to university data — leading critics to accuse pupils of trying to game the system to gain an advantage in school.
There are 378 law students in UC Berkeley’s Disabled Students’ Program, approximately a third of enrollment. That marks a massive shift from just five years ago, when only 3% of Berkeley’s graduate students claimed a disability.
University-wide, the number of students in the disability program have steadily increased — going from 4,153 in 2020 to 5,711 last year. The school claims to be “one of the first campuses in the U.S. to begin accommodating students with disabilities.”
The leading disability types across campus are classified as psychological or emotional disorders, as well as ADHD. Significantly less are the number of physical disability claims.
Critics claim the numbers evidence of a “sham” by students to take advantage of woke considerations by educators to gain a leg up in school.
The numbers are preposterous, said Andrew Testerman, a graduate of the law school who looked into the numbers.
“At Berkeley Law, there are more disabled law students than there are male law students,” said Testerman.
“We are asked to believe that students at elite law schools are significantly more likely to be disabled than our nation’s senior citizens.”
The disability status unfairly gives students advantages, Testerman said.

This is the culture of victimhood at its finest. Quite a lot of these people probably really believe they are “psychologically damaged” and would never even consider the possibility of being okay, simply because being a victim is what they’ve been taught makes them better than everyone else.
Also, it forces other people to treat them special and was part of what got them into the school, too. It’s just an all around wonderful thing, see?
They’re just looking to get whatever advantages they can over other students. In this case, it’s extra time on exams. It’s exactly why I always gave unlimited-time exams that students finished in 1 to 1.5 hours. Some of these fake “disabled” students were really upset that they wouldn’t receive an advantage over the other students.
Make sure you issue them all special diplomas for their walls, bordered in yellow and black stripes.
You can’t do that. Part of the law is that their phony disability is entirely confidential. You can’t even mention on recommendations the fact that they got extra time on exams. I just declined to write recommendations for students who were using phony disability. I just told them I didn’t know them well enough.
And these semi-professional victims want to be lawyers. If UC-Berkeley lets them graduate, then a UC-B diploma becomes worthless – or, rather, more worthless* than it already is.
* Is that even possible…?

The only thing surprising here is that they have enough insight to recognize it.
Just goes to show liberalism is a menta illness!
Few of these students will succeed as practicing lawyers.
The next level of victim will be the clients / employers who get legal advice from a lawyer who is mentally inadequate.
Can an attorney get the court to waive a deadline (extra time) because of a mental disorder? “Your honor, I request an extension of the time on this as I have (undiagnosed by competent medical authority) a mental disability; my law school gave me extra time on exams.”
