Germany: Saudi Migrant Gets Life for 2024 Magdeburg Christmas Attack
The suspect showed “no remorse, regret, or introspection whatsoever.”
A German court has sentenced an Arab refugee to life over the 2024 attack on a Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg.
Taleb Jawad al-Abdulmohsen, a 51-year-old asylum seeker from Saudi Arabia, crushed five women and a 9-year-old child to death when he drove a SUV through a crowded square.
An additional 330 people were injured as al-Abdulmohsen “drove the BMW into shoppers at speeds of up to 29mph on Dec 20,” The Telegraph reported.

The migrant went on a killing spree after a German court ruled against him in an asylum-related case, the state prosecutor said. “Al-Abdulmohsen was already known to the police and had been fined for making threats of criminal violence, after accusing German authorities of failing to adequately protect Saudis fleeing their country for religious or political reasons,” the newspaper added. “The defendant was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder by a psychiatric expert, but was found to be fully criminally responsible.”
Despite eight years of asylum protection in Germany, the Arab migrant remained dissatisfied with the host nation. “According to the Office of the Attorney General, the doctor from Saudi Arabia had planned the attack well in advance and was not motivated by ideology,” France’s Euronews reported. “Abdulmohsen told the court he was angry that the rights of Saudi women were being ignored by German authorities.”

Magdeburg’s Regional Court has found a 51-year-old psychiatrist from Saudi Arabia guilty of murder for driving a rental car into a crowd at the Christmas market in the eastern city in 2024.
The judge sentenced Taleb Jawad al-Abdulmohsen to life in prison and said that the German equivalent of a first-degree murder charge in the US — known in German as particular severity of guilt — had been established. This makes the possibilty of early parole less likely.
The verdict can still be appealed.
In addition to six counts of murder, al-Abdulmohsen was convicted of multlple cases of attempted murder and aggravated bodily harm.
The accused used the trial to mock the court and the family of the victims. According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he showed “no remorse, regret, or introspection whatsoever.”
“He repeatedly tried to disrupt the trial, halt it with a hunger strike, and cast himself as a victim. For the victims and their families, his behavior added to the humiliation,” Das Abendblatt newspaper observed.
Islamic terrorists have increasingly targeted Christmas festivities in recent years. In 2016, a Muslim migrant from Tunisia plowed a 40-ton truck through Berlin’s Breitscheidplatz Christmas market, mowing down 12 people to death and injuring 67 others. German security services have foiled several such attacks.
With unregulated mass migration from Arab and Muslim countries, German cities are forced to put up barriers, concrete blocks, and even tank traps to prevent terrorists from driving vehicles into Christmas markets.

The German’s don’t have a death penalty any longer. The best that they can do is jail and babysit him for the rest of his life.
We have the death penalty. The ones sentenced to death sit on death row with appeal after appeal, and have fan clubs sending them letters and filling commissary accounts with plenty of spending money.
Some even get a weekly segment on NPR.
If he did that in his home country his head would have been lopped off already.
