Education Dept. Investigating Maryland for Alleged Title IX Violations
A complaint alleges Maryland allows males not only to compete in female sports and use female-only spaces, but also to use female-only overnight accommodations.
President Richard Nixon signed Title IX into law 54 years ago today.
It’s fitting that the Department of Education announced it is investigating the Maryland Department of Education and three school districts for alleged Title IX violations by allowing males to compete in female sports and use female-only spaces.
“It’s incredibly important to the President, to this administration, that we uphold women’s and girls’ rights to have safe places and to have equal opportunity in sports, and we’re not going to, we’re not going to back off of that fight at all,” Education Secretary Linda McMahon told Harris Faulkner of Fox News.
On today’s 54th anniversary of Title IX, the Trump Administration is making clear that we will not back down from protecting women and girls.

The districts are Montgomery County Public Schools, Prince George’s County Public Schools, and Frederick County Public Schools (the Districts) in Maryland.
The Office of Civil Rights received a complaint alleging that the Maryland Department of Education has a policy allowing males not only to compete in female sports and use female-only spaces, but also to use female-only overnight accommodations.
Yes. I am not kidding.
When girls in these districts refused to share spaces with the males, the officials told the girls to find alternative facilities, “including distant single-user restrooms, rather than enforcing sex-based protections guaranteed under federal law.”
Infuriating.
“The practice of allowing students to access sex-separated programs and facilities based solely on self-asserted ‘gender identity’ is deeply troubling and raises significant legal concerns,” said Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kimberly Richey. “Fifty-four years after Title IX was signed into law, the Trump Administration remains steadfast to enforce its promise to protect women and girls. We will fully investigate these allegations and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with federal law.”
In December, WMAR-2 News reported that the Fredrick County School Board voted to allow students to participate in activities based on how they identify: “the gender identity of student-athletes is not required to be disclosed to coaches, teammates, opponent’s coaches, or anyone else if not authorized by the student.”
The board even included overnight field trips in the vote, allowing “students the opportunity to room with others according to their gender identity.”
President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning males from female sports and spaces.
Female only sports and spaces should not be an issue. It should have never been an issue!

The democrats have lost all common sense. It’s not enough to champion transexual rights, whatever those are. They now must disadvantage
women they supposedly championed only a short time ago.
The worst offenders are women themselves. Maybe this is a case of politics over common sense but it is plain wrong and stupid. They have purposely morphed believe all women into believe all transwomen. This is in a milieu where most if not all transwomen are mentally ill, many severely.
Have Paul Kersey chaperone the overnights.
