This is further proof that the left wants open borders. It’s always these same groups pushing this.

Campus Reform reports:

University of Cincinnati YDSA pushes ‘sanctuary campus’ agenda, anti-ICE activism

Students at the University of Cincinnati are pushing the school to adopt sanctuary campus policies through efforts led by the campus chapter of Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA).

YDSA recently outlined its efforts in a series of Instagram posts, detailing what the group called a semester-long campaign “fighting for a sanctuary campus,” and calling on the school to forgo cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In the posts, the YDSA chapter highlighted several spring semester initiatives related to the campaign.

Those initiatives included “raising money for families impacted by ICE” and “assembling 1,300 white kits,” which typically include whistles intended to alert others when ICE officers are nearby, along with “Know Your Rights” cards containing information about encounters with immigration authorities.

The organization also drafted a proposed sanctuary campus policy for consideration by the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees. On April 28, members attended a board meeting and called for “a public declaration of UC as a Sanctuary Campus.”

YDSA also pointed to electoral gains in student government. Two members of the group, Alex Lauffenburger and Treyvon Ladler, were successfully elected to student government positions, and would work to “explicitly support and push for a Sanctuary Campus.”

Lauffenburger and Ladler were elected to student senate seats representing the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology, and the College-Conservatory of Music, respectively.

In a March 10 Instagram video promoting his campaign, Ladler encouraged students to attend a “sanctuary campus picket,” stating, “Let’s get ICE off our campus.”

The accompanying caption urged students to demand protections for international students, asking, “Do you want safeguards and resources for international students in the wake of increased ICE kidnappings and violence against immigrant communities across the country?”
