Tens of thousands of protesters marched through Madrid on Saturday, demanding the resignation of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez over serious corruption allegations.
Prime Minister Sánchez, while attempting to divert public attention by ranting against the U.S. and Israel, faces a wave of corruption scandals involving his family and associates.

Protesters held placards calling for an “End to the Socialist Mafia.” Others waved Spanish flags and carried Christian symbols, mirroring the sentiment displayed at last week’s “Unite the Kingdom” march in London. After nearly eight years of rule by the Sánchez government, Spain is reeling under the socialist mismanagement and mass immigration from North Africa and the Middle East.

At least seven police were injured in clashes with protesters, officials said, as tens of thousands of people marched through Madrid on Saturday, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez after a series of corruption scandals. (…)
Demonstrators carried banners marked with “Resignation of the socialist mafia” and other slogans, alongside scores of gold and red national flags in the “March for Dignity”, organised by the Spanish Civil Society association.
Leaders from the opposition People’s Party and the far-right Vox party also took part.
A Spanish court announced on Tuesday that former Spanish Socialist prime minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero was being investigated for allegedly leading an influence-peddling and money-laundering network, in another blow to the leftist government.
The latest court ruling threatens to implicate Prime Minister Sánchez and his government. Germany’s DW TV noted that “Zapatero has been a major ally of Sanchez in recent years, and the court ruling has dealt a blow to Sanchez’s Socialist party-led coalition.”
“Last month, Sanchez’s wife, Begona Gomez, was charged with embezzlement, influence peddling, corruption in business dealings and misappropriation of funds,” the broadcaster added.

With the country suffering from corruption, migrant crime, and historic low birth-rates, Prime Minister Sánchez is pursuing the most generous open-door immigration policy in Europe. “While most Western governments race to tighten borders, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is doubling down on open migration,” France’s Euronews TV channel commented admiringly.
Instead of tackling the pressing issues of poverty and unemployment among Spain’s youth, he is busy championing woke causes, both at home and abroad.
The Spanish leader, while refusing to pay the country’s fair share on NATO and European defense, “regretted” in a September 2025 speech that Spain doesn’t have a “nuclear bomb” to stop the Israeli operation against Hamas in Gaza. While the Israeli military was fighting a multi-front war against Iran and its proxy terrorist groups, Spain imposed sanctions on ships and aircraft carrying fuel or weapons to Israel.
He earned praise from Hamas, with the Islamic terror group acknowledging his “notable contribution to international efforts” against Israel.
When the U.S. and Israel began a joint strike against Iran in late February, Prime Minister Sánchez denied the American forces access to its military bases. Spain also closed its airspace to U.S. planes involved in the operation Epic Fury against Tehran. The Iranian regime and Hamas applauded the Spanish government for abandoning the U.S., a longtime NATO ally.

Isn’t Spain closing their airspace akin to Iran closing the strait of Hormuz? Sure sounds like terrorist activity to me.

No, it isn’t. It’s Spain’s airspace, and it’s entitled to control who uses it. The Strait, at least in the USA’s opinion, doesn’t belong to Iran.
