MSNOW Senior Washington Correspondent Thinks Abortion and Trans Kids Are ‘Kitchen Table Issues’

“When you talk about whether or not people can have access to healthy abortions—safe abortions, that is a kitchen table issue, right?”

Eugene Daniels, formerly of Politico, is the senior Washington correspondent for MSNOW, the network formerly known as MSNBC. Daniels was also the president of the White House Correspondents’ Association at one point.

During a segment on the DNC’s 2024 autopsy this week, Daniels was asked what approach Democrats should take going forward and suggested that it is possible to embrace identity politics and talk about ‘kitchen table’ issues, like abortion and trans kids.

I wasn’t sure this was real until I saw the video.

NewsBusters reported:

Eugene Daniels Says Dems Should Focus On Kitchen Table Issues Like Trans Kids

Even by the low standards of MS NOW, senior Washington correspondent Eugene Daniels’s Thursday appearance on Chris Jansing Reports was a stellar example of how not to do journalism. Daniels’s title suggests that the network views him as a reporter, but he decided to go full activist. According to him, Democrats need “to be more comfortable with power” and that the party needs to focus more on “kitchen table issues,” which he somehow defined as abortion and gender transitioning children.

Reacting to the DNC’s autopsy, Jansing read a portion aloud that suggested Democrats’ problem is that they are just too smart for the electorate, “They claim Republicans are just better at politics. Quote, ‘At times it seems Democrats are trying to win arguments while Republicans are focused on winning elections. Democrats operate in an ecosystem defined by reason, even in cycles when the electorate is defined by rage.’ What should Democrats do with that?”

Daniels began his response by declaring, “They should be more comfortable with the idea of power. And this is something that Democrats have been saying. I’ve talked to Chuck about this in the past, the idea that at the end of the day, if you are not in office, you can’t do anything. And when you talk about winning hearts and minds, that is very important.”…

Usually, kitchen table issues mean things like the jobs or the cost of living, but Daniels took an extremely broad definition:

When you talk about whether or not people can have access to healthy abortions—safe abortions, that is a kitchen table issue, right? Whether or not a trans kid can get the services they need, that is a kitchen table issue for families. So, it’s about crafting the message in a way that actually gets to the point that Chuck and a lot of other folks say, which is people look at the money leaving their pockets, they look at the party in power, they want some change, and they’re willing to flirt with candidates and with parties they haven’t been before.

This is simply unreal. Watch:

This just confirms something that I have been saying for weeks. The Democrats learned nothing from the 2024 election and have not changed at all since the 2024 election.

If they get back into power, they will pick up exactly where they left off the day before the 2024 election.

When I see somebody with a head of hair like that, I can’t help but wonder what kind of wildlife is making its home in there.

The dope’s afro is consuming all of the nutrients that would otherwise nourish his walnut-sized brain.

IDK man….that’s a pretty spectacular looking afro …if you’re gonna have one have a good one. Kinda similar fashion choice in having a beard, don’t have some scraggly looking thing in between short/groomed and full on Civil War General/Old Testament Prophet masterpiece that looks like it belongs on a meth head tweaker …either grow it out or keep it groomed short and neat.

Like AOC’s glasses, with zero suggestion that any magnification is taking place. Once he transitions he will be a shoe-in for an Ivy League presidency, assuming that his plagerism is current.

Might want to step outside and ask real people, not the nose-in-the-air liberal in your building.

“embrace identity politics and talk about ‘kitchen table’ issues, like abortion”

Well, we just discovered that kitchen tables are great for democrat candidates to twerk on… so I guess, what CAN’T you use them for?

He lost me when he talked about the need to get into office so that “.you can change laws and not just worry about hearts and minds.” Clearly they got the Abigail Spanberger play book: say one thing and then in office do something entirely different.

Well, he looks like an idiot too.

Another Culture Marxist wanting to destroy kids lives

Well we know now what progressive women bring to the table. They bring abortion and trans-silliness to the table. Then again we knew that which is why we refuse to take a seat at the table with them. Enjoy your cats and box wine sweethearts.

He’s right. They are kitchen table issues nowadays. But not in the direction he thinks.

The First Casualty of the Fay Beydoun Scandal? Planned Parenthood

Gov. Whitmer refused an emergency request by Planned Parenthood of Michigan for $5 million last week, telling them to go find the money elsewhere. The retaliation by Lansing Democrats was swift, led by State Rep. Laurie Pohutsky.

Pohutsky, a strong advocate for Planned Parenthood, exploded in anger.

“You can’t say you’re going to fight like hell and then not do the bare minimum when they’re in need,” she told The Detroit News.

Two prominent Democrats fighting? Heavens to Murgatroyd, this must be of dire importance!

Let’s back up a bit.

The Dobbs decision in 2022 was once seen as the best gift the Michigan Democrat Party could have ever hoped for as they sought to reinforce their power in a battleground state that has turned bluer over the last decade.
———————————-
First of all, using abortion as a political weapon to fire up the college-educated women doesn’t really work for voters under 40 who are already committed to family planning and want kids.

Second, nobody is f***ing right now. Young women lament that men won’t approach them, and young men lack confidence. You need to have sex to construct a landscape where an abortion might be needed, and the birth rate is dwindling for a reason.

Third, the same week Planned Parenthood of Michigan was begging for change, statistics dropped indicating Michigan is in its fifth straight year of “natural decrease,” meaning that the state’s deaths outnumber its births. Our state is aging out, and women of child-bearing age have crept into middle age, further accelerating the decline.
