Mark Hamill Deletes Bluesky Post That Seemed to Advocate Assassinating Trump

“The left is going to keep doing this until one of their acolytes actually does it.”

Assassination Chic among the left has been a thing since the days of George W. Bush’s presidency (if not sooner), but they turned it into an art form during Donald Trump’s first term and have shown no signs of letting up a year and a half into his second.

There have been three attempts on the president’s life in less than two years, with the first two happening in the summer of 2024, when he was the GOP presidential nominee, and the third one happening last month during the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner (WHCD).

In two of the three instances, the suspects left a paper trail of notes where incendiary language that was identical to that uttered by prominent Democrats was used to describe Trump and members of his cabinet.

For instance, Cole Tomas Allen, the alleged WHCD shooter, referred to Trump as “a pedophile, rapist, and traitor” in a manifesto that he sent to his family, according to senior Trump administration officials. Ryan Wesley Routh, who was convicted roughly a year after his September 2024 assassination attempt on Trump, referred to him as a “dictator” who was unfit to lead America.

Revealingly, when prominent Democrats are reminded that their repeated comparisons of Trump to Hitler and the violence-tinged words they use in their campaigns against him have had the net effect of inspiring attempts to kill him, they don’t back off. They simply double down.

Case in point, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY):

The latest Assassination Chic entry comes from Trump Derangement Syndrome-afflicted Star Wars actor Mark Hamill, who wrote a post on leftist safe space Bluesky on Wednesday in which he seemed to advocate for Trump’s assassination:

“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill posted a photo depicting President Donald Trump as deceased on Wednesday with a caption that read “If Only,” just days after an assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) Dinner.

“He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes. Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore,” Hamill’s post continued.

Posobiac was referring to a recent promotional video for the Obama library that featured Hamill and the former president:

Hamill has since deleted the post and put up a new one in which he claimed he was “wishing him the opposite of dead”:

Accurate Edit for Clarity:

“He should live long enough to… be held accountable for his… crimes.”

Actually, I was wishing him the opposite of dead, but apologize if you found the image inappropriate.

In a recent interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner, The Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro explained the “gigantic permission structure” the left and their media allies have invented to justify their Assassination Chic:

“The reality is a gigantic permission structure has been created for violence against the president of the United States, suggesting he is a complete threat to the United States, that he is a fascist incarnation, a Hitlerian person. All of that is designed to generate an outsized feeling that the only way to stop the president of the United States is with political violence.”

Watch:

When does it stop? For that matter, will it ever stop?

Beam me up Scotty. These people are crazy loco!

‘Permission Structure’ is an apt a way to describe the prevailing culture of tossing around unsupported and/or very thin/dubious claims of ‘ists, isms, phobe’ and the odd claim of vague criminality within leftist circles and among their media allies. They seem to toss those around like a pyromaniac tweaker who found a truckload of hand grenades. They do it to damage people they disagree with, injure their reputation, scare their friends/family, intimidate their employers/customers or potential voters all in the pursuit of power.

Who?

Mark Hamill . . . did a few sci-fi movies starting in the late 1970s. Hasn’t done much of anything since those movies. Mark Hamill . . . just another has-been Hollywood actor desperately trying to be relevant in a world that’s left him behind. That Mark Hamill.

The worst member of the Star Wars cast

No girls had crushes on him, he was a weak link from the get go

We all wanted Hans Solo, all

He’s clearly lying

“No girls had crushes on him, he was a weak link from the get go”

Except his own sister, of course. That says everything you need to know about Democrats…

Hamill should be investigated by the Secret Service. His family and associates should be hauled in for questioning, his home searched, he himself questioned at great length.

Make him defend himself. Make it incredibly unpleasant. Make him an example.

I blame Lucas. He should have left Hamill in his well deserved obscurity,

I hope these wicked, malignantly narcissistic, attention-seeking, culturally insecure Dhimmi-crats, such as Hamill, Stephen King, et al., continue spewing their intemperate, unrestrained, infantile and vindictive hate.

Let all of the U.S. see their utterly vile, repugnant true colors and wretched character.

The only difference between this guy and the urine stained hobo that tries to bum a dollar off you each morning as you walk into the neighborhood Dunkin is a leading role in a movie from 50 years ago.

And given the current state of Hollywood, there really isn’t any difference at all.

scooterjay | May 7, 2026 at 9:12 pm

Corvette Summer…
’nuff said.

The main thing Trump has done to Democrats is to force them as who and what they are out in the open.

Not really all that much difference between mark hamill and the sick pathetic old loser Skywalker in those latest pieces of dung star wars movies.

command_liner | May 7, 2026 at 10:39 pm

AFAIK, Hamill’s house burnt in the Great Bass Fire in LA. Not sure where he is living now, but searching his place would be less exciting now.

healthguyfsu | May 7, 2026 at 10:51 pm

Hamill is always a bit off. I think that’s why he did get many more roles in film. Unstable and likely groomed by 80s Hollywood commies.

Actually he was in a car wreck that left his face scarred. That’s why they put in the scene where he gets hit by the ice creature in Empire Strikes Back.
He switched to voice acting and did a ton of roles there.

Guy could have been iconic and loved by everyone, and all he did was turn into a bitter, stupid old man who never learned the lesson that not everyone gives a shit what you think.

forgotten but not gone

Hamill is a poor excuse for an actor who had the good fortune to be included in the incredibly successful “Star Wars”.. Had it not been for that film, the world would never have heard of him.

MoeHowardwasright | May 8, 2026 at 7:22 am

Demonrats say things as politicians that cause their followers to act out. And when someone does act out they retreat and say it was just political and they’re not responsible for these people’s actions. Time and time again it repeats itself.

When does it stop? When the source is eliminated, not before.

As for Hamill, he’s still trying to trade on the reputation of a franchise that was killed by Disney at least six movies ago.

Andy in reply to Rusty Bill. | May 8, 2026 at 12:35 pm

    Watch Andor.

How that series got made under Caffiene Kennedy is unknown. It must have been a dark basement where all the fat old white writers were sent to die. It is an absolute master piece which outshines ANYTHING, including the original Star Wars. It is what Star Wars should have become. I am serious. It is REALLY REALLY REALLY good.

I was so high off of watching it, I went and watched the Rogue One movie the series prequelled… and I was quickly reminded of the sad sack girl boss Universe of garbage Disney has become… and RO is far from the worst.

Millhouse got nothin’ to say?

He’s probably trying to catch up with Mark Ruffalo in the moronic Hollyweird leftist hack “celebrity” race.

George_Kaplan | May 8, 2026 at 10:35 pm

The Left permits anything vile to be said about Trump, but criticising such speech is frequently held to be impermissible. Curious no?

When will Hamill be executed for his crimes of being a lying inflammatory asshole, and pushing for insurrection and treason?
