Left Wing Student Group Circulates ‘Toolkit’ on How to Disrupt and ‘Smash’ Turning Point USA

“kick TPUSA off campus!”

Notice how their plan is not to present a better argument or vision. Their plan is to destroy the other side.

The College Fix reports:

Students for a Democratic Society releases detailed blueprint on how to ‘smash’ TPUSA

A national left-wing student organization is circulating a “toolkit” outlining strategies to disrupt and “smash” Turning Point USA chapters and their efforts on college campuses, according to a document reviewed by The College Fix.

The document, distributed by Students for a Democratic Society, lays out organizing tactics aimed at countering the conservative student group, which operates across hundreds of campuses nationwide.

“Introducing National Students for a Democratic Society’s toolkit for progressive student organizers: kick TPUSA off campus!” the national group posted on its Instagram profile April 21.

The toolkit itself is a 5-page document that includes a variety of tips and tricks that aim to help leftwing students achieve their goals to organize against TPUSA.

One suggestion is to “smash their charter,” encouraging members to work to get TPUSA deplatformed as a registered student organization, the document states.

“Whether the charter process goes through administration or student government (or some secret third thing), disrupting the process looks like agitating those who make the decisions, raising the consciousness on campus about the issue, and disseminating propaganda across campus,” the blueprint states.

The blueprint remains restricted, preventing access to its edit history or the identity of its owner. The national SDS organization did not respond to The College Fix’s request for comment via Instagram.

According to the Google document, its authors attend a “small private Catholic university” in the deep south, with a “majority gender oppressed and ethnically majority-minority” student body.

While the university is not named, the document references multiple SDS chapters, including one affiliated with Loyola University New Orleans.

The toolkit states that the Loyola chapter operates off-campus and advises activists to carefully manage “recruitment, meeting with students, and propaganda” to avoid administrative scrutiny.

The document encourages SDS members to “make friends with [their] student government to get the inside scoop,” including building relationships with student senators and representatives.

The document frames opposition to TPUSA as broadly popular, stating that people “hate TPUSA and will love you for fighting back against them.”
