House Democrats Join Fight to Release DNC 2024 Internal Report

House Democrats have joined the fight to force the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to release its internal 2024 report.
They want to know what caused former Vice President Kamala Harris to lose so badly to President Donald Trump. I mean, besides the obvious fact that she’s not relatable and that laugh.
Democrats also lost the Senate majority and didn’t gain control of the House.

“Why haven’t we put it out? Because we got our butts kicked,” Rep. Glenn Ivey, D-Md., said. “I think it’s going to be embarrassing, apparently, to some people.”
“Why? I have no idea,” Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., said when asked why the report had not been released. “And whether they should? I don’t know.”
Following the Democrats’ sweeping losses in the 2024 election cycle, the DNC launched an internal autopsy investigating where the party fell short in securing a win in both the presidential election and the majority in Congress.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., argued party leaders ignored longtime Democratic voters and failed to deliver on key promises while in power.
“They don’t want people to know the truth,” Tlaib said. “They messed up. They didn’t listen to their Democratic base.”
Harris reportedly joined the chorus, too.
The DNC announced it would compile a report about the 2024 election.
Democrats seethed when the DNC revealed it “would skip analyzing whether then-President Joe Biden should have run for re-election in 2024 and would pass on judging key decisions made by Harris and her team, after she replaced Biden as the party’s nominee with just over three months to go until the 2024 election.”
But when the Democrats won bigly in 2025, Martin changed course and decided not to release the report.
Martin somewhat caved when he said he would release some of the results:
In explaining his decision, Martin wrote, “We completed a comprehensive review of what happened in 2024 and are already putting our learnings into motion. And we’re winning again — even in places that haven’t gone blue in decades. In our conversations with stakeholders from across the Democratic ecosystem, we are aligned on what’s important, and that’s learning from the past and winning the future.”
“Here’s our North Star: does this help us win? If the answer is no, it’s a distraction from the core mission,” he emphasized.
That’s when the anger started to grow:
Dan Pfeiffer, a former senior advisor to then-President Barack Obama and a co-host of the popular progressive podcast “Pod Save America,” also took to social media to criticize the move.
“This is a very bad decision that reeks of the caution and complacency that brought us to this moment,” Pfeiffer wrote.
His podcast co-host and fellow Obama alum Jon Favreau called the DNC flip-flop “unreal” and “baffling.”
“The DNC’s actual position is that if the public knew more about what Democrats got wrong in the last election, it would hurt the party’s chances in the next election,” Favreau wrote on X. “How does this rebuild trust between the party insiders and grassroots activists and organizers?”

Democrats lost because of bad ideology, bad ideas with bad consequences. Even now they won’t let go not because they don’t know how but because they have become bad people, with bad motives and no pro America message. Their base and money will not allow it.

Exactly. Tlaib has it the wrong way round. The Democrats lost precisely because they listened to their base. The general voting public said no thanks!
I was going to make a similar comment. Tlaib’s statement, though facially true, is mistaken because she believes the sorts who support her are the “base” that could have propelled the party to victory. She’s delusional.
Yep. Making the case that the d/prog lost in ’24 b/c they weren’t rabidly leftist/woke enough is goofy. Release the report and let the chips fall and high among them will be:
1. Lying/cover up of Biden’s mental/physical capacity
2. Removing any primary challenge to Biden
3. Letting Biden debate
4. Post debate debacle of allowing Biden’s endorsement and pressure from Clyburn and others to anoint Harris instead of some semblance of a competitive nomination
5. Allowing her campaign to be run by grossly ill prepared, incompetent folks instead of Party elders reining in goofy messaging and letting them blow $1.64 Billion of campaign funds in a horribly run campaign.
Much closer eye on voter fraud, coupled with the fact they could NOT fraud her in as some sort of half-assed ‘elder statesman’.

Ugly Tlaib seems confused. Clearly, the democrat voter base want the flood of criminal invaders which the demonrat party invited into our country.
They want higher taxes. They want government to rule their lives. They want massive frauds to eat up their tax dollars, but want the ambitious and successful to cover even more of it than the productive already do. They want to make sure only criminals who don’t care about gun laws have guns, they want the mentally ill to invade the wrong bathrooms and locker rooms, and most of all, they want to be dominated by a terrorist cult posing as a religion. Every time they vote for a godless democrat, they declare their desires.

The last thing I carry about is what any Obama alumni has to say, They should go F themselves for the damage they did to this country and are still doing to some extent.
You have it wrong. Of course they still have things to say. The “damage” you decry was a feature, not a bug. They’re not embarrassed by what they did at all. Indeed, they believe they didn’t go far enough while they were in power.

obama was an empty bench. They thought his speeches would carry them for a generation. They thought that all they need to do was emulate him.
For me, the wonder is how competitive Harris was. There are either a huge number of “yellow dog” Democrats or DJT had a lot of negatives – I think a combination of the two made this election closer than it should have been.
Harris’ ceiling was 55 million legitimate votes. If you don’t think they padded her total by 12-15 million in the WEEKS leading up to Election Day, I have a fridge to sell you. They did the same with BiteMe. But the 3AM dumps proved to be abortive this time.
Obama selected a VP who was dumber than himself and Biden did the same thing. That’s pretty awesome considering how mediocre Obama is.
The old saw said you run a successful campaign by appealing to your base but you govern by moving to the middle. This assumes the candidate is smart enough to understand this which Biden isn’t so the voters got a good dose of the far left for four miserable years so they knew to expect more of the same.
So Harris embracing Biden’s woke policies by not being able to formulate any reasonable alternatives was the end of her campaign even if the public would accept having a candidate forced upon them.
The only way for the Democrats to exit their self-inflicted exile is to embrace a fiscally conservative policy of reduced taxation, regulation, debt and inflation and sell it as revitalizing the working classes since Trump has essentially taken their spending plank away from them and accelerated the lurch into unsustainable debt. They’ll never do it so it’ll be more of the same out of the DNC.
The DNC doesn’t want to release it until they find way to rewrite it to blame the whole thing on David Hogg.
This is proving extra difficult for Democrat spinmeisters, since they didn’t elect him to the DNC until 2025.
