Buffoonish Democrat Rep. Al Green Defeated in Texas Runoff Election

“Green has been among President Donald Trump’s fiercest critics in Congress, pursuing impeachment charges on multiple occasions against him during both of Trump’s terms. Green has been kicked out of Trump’s State of the Union addresses multiple times”

Among the many Texas election results now being widely reported, Democrat Rep. Al Green lost his runoff to a younger, and hopefully more stable, candidate.

What a shame.

Whatever shall the country do without this grandstanding, loud-mouthed, idiot to make a spectacle of himself at the State of the Union address? Who will file articles of impeachment against Trump that are so ridiculous that even other Democrats will dismiss them?

FOX News reports:

House Dem who repeatedly tried to impeach Trump toppled in heated Texas race

Texas redistricting claimed a longtime Democratic incumbent Tuesday, as Rep. Christian Menefee defeated Rep. Al Green in a Houston-area runoff that forced two sitting House Democrats into the same race.

Rep. Al Green, one of Congress’ most vocal Trump antagonists, lost his Democratic runoff Tuesday to fellow Texas Rep. Christian Menefee after redistricting scrambled Houston-area congressional lines.

The race for Texas’ solidly Democratic 18th Congressional District was an incumbent-on-incumbent Democratic clash, with Green and Menefee both trying to preserve their places in Congress after redistricting altered the congressional districts around Houston.

In Texas, it is mandated by law that if no candidate has captured a majority of the vote during a primary, the race will head to a runoff election. Menefee received 46% of votes and Green 44.2% following the early-March primary.

Green has been among President Donald Trump’s fiercest critics in Congress, pursuing impeachment charges on multiple occasions against him during both of Trump’s terms. Green has been kicked out of Trump’s State of the Union addresses multiple times as well for standing up and protesting amid the speech.

More from The Hill:

Neither Menefee nor Green, the 78-year-old who’s served in the House for over two decades, pushed past the 50 percent support needed in the March 3 primary to avoid a runoff.

The two lawmakers were pitted against each other after Texas Republicans advanced a GOP-friendly map that created multiple new pickup opportunities for the party ahead of the midterms. The controversial plan kicked off a national back-and-forth over mid-decade redistricting, including a Democrat-friendly plan to effectively counter the Texas changes in California.

The redraw made Green’s 9th Congressional District a GOP-friendly seat, and he decided to run for reelection in the more comfortably blue 18th Congressional District.

Enjoy your retirement, Al.

This is what it looks like when these midwits have to compete in a district instead of having a safe one drawn for them. That’s what they are really afraid of. Ask Ghetto Barbie about this.

ha ha, sit down and shut the fu*k up, bit*h

he wont be

raisn cane no more

I liked him better in the classic Geico commercials… 🙂

GEICO gets their caveman back.

It’s almost as if when long time politicians lose the handcrafted district that was effectively a sinecure for their political career these old/outdated incumbents can’t effectively compete. Seems especially so when they get a primary challenger they can’t demonize and their out of touch playbook doesn’t have the answers to save them.

A buffoon? Nah, a MORON.

Help I can’t breathe!

We need Al Green remembrance day.

Black people got tired of his antics.

So Black people voted him out.

I guess Black people must be racist.

And disenfranchised.

Get yo ass outta here, Al Green!

Hey Big Al

YOU’RE FIRED!!!!

Wonder what Mr. Green is going to do for work now. Apparently he IS an attorney. Wonder who his clients will be?

I can see his billboard advertisement:

“It’s not easy being Al.”

    Poor Al!
All dressed up, and no one to impeach!

Nah like many politicians who hang on too long the Dude is 78 and at end of this Congress will have 22 years credited to his Congressional pension. I’m sure he’ll get some minor sinecure(s) from lefty orgs to pad that. Then there’s speaking circuit fees and the ego boost that comes with folks listening to whatever he spits out and paying him for the privilege.

    S’Al Goodman

The cane. The only weapon you can carry onto an airliner.
I had a sensei who was just vicious with a cane.

I think sword canes are illegal though. Read that someplace.

henrybowman in reply to ztakddot. | May 27, 2026 at 4:27 pm

On aircraft, yes. Otherwise, it depends on what state you live in. Not illegal here in AZ, but were illegal in MA… just like spring-assisted knives and frankly most other weapons.

Sword canes ARE illegal. Having said that I practice Tai Chi and cane defense is pretty impressiveNo sword or knife needed.. I believe that an aircraft would not be a good environment for cane use as your area for motion is too constricted.

Anyhow I am pretty sure that we can get citizen Green on a no-fly list within a few months. He’s gonna say something that will clearly justify that decision.

henrybowman in reply to Hodge. | May 27, 2026 at 4:36 pm

Sword canes are NOT illegal in all states.

Arizona. Well, that’s one of fifty. I’ll therefore revise my position:

Sword canes aren’t always illegal but that’s the way to bet.

A summary of your linked item via ChatGTP

Arizona’s permissive laws on public weapons possession, including concealed carry and knife possession, have created confusion for police officers. The conflicting opinions from the Ninth Circuit and Arizona Supreme Court regarding the “armed and dangerous” standard for frisking lawfully armed individuals further complicate the issue. This article examines Arizona’s “duty to inform” law, the competing case law on frisking, and policy considerations to address these challenges.

In some states that issue real concealed WEAPONS permits instead of concealed firearms permits, sword canes are legal if you have the permit.

Trump needs to speak about this once Green is actually out of office,, thinking out loud about a possible impeachment, and how it could be the greatest impeachment of all time….

No longer so simple a cave man can do it…
