Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) celebrated the supposed news that 26 Iranian ships broke through the U.S. naval blockade in the Gulf of Oman.

There were some reports overnight indicating that 26 vessels from Iran’s shadow fleet were able to make it past the US blockade. There is no evidence of that, and despite what one Democratic senator talked about, there is a concerted effort by the United States to ensure that any vessels that are coming from Iranian ports are turned around or seized, as we saw with that one cargo ship over the weekend.

And the shadow fleet that the senator is talking about is used to directly fund Iranian proxies across the Middle East, including Hamas, the Houthis, and Hezbollah, who are directly responsible for killing US citizens. And so the shadow fleet is a very serious problem. It is not getting past the US blockade, according to all reports and information that we have from the region, but it is a very serious issue that the US Navy says they will crack down on, not just in the Persian Gulf, but also around the world, including in the Pacific.

I didn’t find many reports about the fleet bypassing the naval blockade. I came across this:
Maritime tracking firm TankerTrackers.com reported that a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) operated by the National Iranian Tanker Company departed Iran in late March 2026. The vessel then sailed towards Southeast Asia, where it reportedly transferred approximately 2 million barrels of crude oil to another supertanker.
Following the transfer, the tanker returned towards Iranian waters and is believed to have crossed what analysts describe as a US “siege line”, a monitored maritime enforcement zone linked to the ongoing blockade efforts.
According to Iran’s Fars News Agency, the vessel successfully re-entered Iranian-controlled waters and is expected to reach Kharg Island shortly. The report stated, “This tanker unloaded its 2 million barrels of crude oil and then returned home through the blockade line,” citing data from TankerTrackers.com.

They are US Citizens and can’t be denied entry.
That said if somebody decides to tie them together by their ankles, toss them over a clothes line and beat them like a Pinata until candy falls out …..it would be… wrong… but I wouldn’t be all that upset over it.

Perhaps added to the “do not fly” list? Then they could take it up in the courts after their slow boat ride home.
The no-fly list’s legitimacy hangs by a thread, because the courts are willing to accept that it’s a genuine security measure, and it doesn’t infringe any constitutional right. But if you supply the courts with evidence that people are being listed for political reasons they’re likely to strike the whole thing down.
This guy Murphy is a traitor! I look forward to his eventual public execution. The other traitor, Waltz, deserves the same fate.

Has the 26 ship number been challenged/verified?
The info above says it has not been verified in any way and is being denied by the US government. It might also be that Iran is counting ships that already were out of the Gulf before the blockade was established. Which means they’re lying… again.
Or, better yet, we allowed the exit and intend to capture the vessels.
It was ‘verified’ by the same crew that was convinced Iran was ‘winning’ and captured 300 special forces and shot down 200 planes.

Iran’s current strategy is clear – it is to hold out long enough for the Democrats to win the Midterms and stop the war. Reportedly, Iran has 5 months worth of exported oil in tankers waiting off the coast of China to unload their oil. The IRGC prepared for this war far in advance.
I don’t understand this. If they’re already full of Iranian export oil, and already off the coast of China, why don’t they just unload now? Nobody is blockading China.
I just see this as more proof that Iran’s propaganda is so ludicrous that you’d have to be a brain-dead idiot to be fooled by it.
