Report: House Dems Already Pushing for Day One Impeachment of Trump

Confident they will regain control of the House of Representatives in November, some Democratic lawmakers have already begun laying the groundwork for a third impeachment of President Donald Trump, according to a Friday report from Axios —with some pushing for proceedings to begin on “Day One.”
Rabid anti-Trumper Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) told Axios, “We need to have a very concrete, coordinated strategy.” House Democrats “should build up the case so that when we are in power in January, we’ve created the conditions … we’ve done the fact-checking, we’ve done the shadow hearings, everything we need to be able to to impeach [Trump].”
Ramirez believes that “starting this work in January is too late.”
Not only should Democrats pursue impeachment against Trump, Ramirez argued that the party should “continue to pursue the impeachment and conviction” of both former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and former Attorney General Pam Bondi “because these people should never be in public office again.”
“We’re going to have to do that work now,” she said.
Just a reminder about Ramirez: Born in Chicago to illegal immigrant parents, the fanatically progressive congresswoman stands as a testament to the American Dream. Yet instead of showing gratitude to the nation that gave an anchor baby the chance to rise to Congress, she seizes every opportunity to disparage America and condemn its laws.
Ramirez made national headlines last summer. Speaking in Spanish at the second annual Panamerican Congress in Mexico City, she declared, “I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American” — a stunning remark that drew wild applause from the progressive crowd. She went on to accuse the U.S. of prioritizing “imperialism, militarization, conquest, control, competition in its attempt at domination.”

The equally progressive Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ) told Axios that if Democrats win back the House, “the push for impeachment is going to be overwhelming.”
Axios cited a dubious new survey from an unfamiliar pollster, Strength In Numbers/Verasight, that found a whopping 55% of U.S. adults believe Trump should be impeached while only 37% do not. Those results sound very unlikely indeed.
In an article that accompanied the poll, G. Elliott Morris noted, “That net +18 verdict puts Trump in the neighborhood of the numbers Richard Nixon saw at the peak of the Watergate scandal in August 1974.”
Morris pointed out that following Trump’s recent warning to the Iranian regime that “a whole civilization will die tonight,” Axios reported that “more than 85 House and Senate Democrats called for Trump to be impeached or removed via the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.”
Say what you will about the president’s rhetoric, but he caught the Iranians’ attention. It sure was a lot more effective than Joe Biden’s message of “Don’t, don’t,” or Barack Obama’s decision to send a plane load of cash to regime leaders.
Axios reported that after Trump’s decisive victory in 2024, most Democrats opposed the idea of impeachment. Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-MI) said, “People ridiculed me” when he introduced articles of impeachment last year. When Rep. Al Green (D-TX) “forced a vote on impeaching Trump last June, 128 Democrats voted with Republicans to quash the effort, while just 78 voted to advance it.”
Apparently, sentiment has changed — “drastically.” When Green forced a second vote in December, 140 House Democrats supported the measure.
Thanedar said, “We have a case — a very strong case — so we should really work on it now.”
According to Axios, “Just because a member supports impeachment when asked — or when forced to go on the record in a House vote — doesn’t mean they think it should be a policy priority for their party.
Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL) told Axios, Trump has “done something in this Congress that justifies the conversation, but we’ve already seen twice unless you’re going to get a two-thirds majority in the Senate … the president will not be removed from office.”
Schneider said he plans to “work on strengthening American security, making lives better for the American people and moving the country forward.”
Another House Democrat, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “There are things that we can win, and impeachment is not one of them — now or, unfortunately, at any point during this presidency.”
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) posted an urgent message to supporters on social media last week which began, “Because this is so grave of a situation, Democrats must do “whatever it takes to remove Trump from office.” That includes impeachment, the 25th Amendment, and demanding his resignation.

And the Democrats have already begun. Citing national security concerns related to the president’s recent rhetoric on the war in Iran, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) recently introduced legislation to form a 17-member commission to evaluate President Donald Trump’s fitness for office, with an eye toward invoking the 25th Amendment. The measure was co-sponsored by 50 of his colleagues.
Have they forgotten that the 25th Amendment can only be invoked by the vice president and must be backed by a majority of the cabinet?
Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin is once again introducing a bill to invoke the 25th amendment to remove President Trump.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a progressive disease (no pun intended).
A progressive disease is a condition that worsens over time, typically involving a gradual decline in function, health, or structure. Symptoms may start mild but become more severe as the disease advances, and in many cases the damage is not fully reversible.
While some cases are worse than others, most Democrats have been afflicted with this disorder for the past decade. Some, like Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Hakeem Jefferies (D-NY), and clearly Ramirez, have reached the end-stages of the disease. This presents as a wholesale abdication of the responsibilities they were elected to perform — representing their constituents in Congress — replaced by an all-consuming effort to remove the object of their obsession from office.
They simply can’t help themselves.

Don’t they need an actual reason to impeach?? With every BS impeachment they make the word and the process look a little less meaningful. They are petty children. Nothing more..the sheer amount of fraud that has been uncovered in these blue states the last few years makes impeaching Trump sound outright psychotic.
Imagine how great the Democrats, the RINOs, the media, the judiciary, and the bureaucracy could make America if they worked with President Trump instead of fighting his every move. Every accomplishment he’s had so far has been in spite of them, not because of them.
