Gavin Newsom’s Wife Boasts of Exposing Her Children to Gender Ideology

Gavin Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, can be seen in a video that has been going viral this weekend, talking proudly about exposing her children to progressive gender ideology.
It’s not clear when the video is from, but it seems recent.
This sort of thing may play well in San Francisco, but it will not serve Gavin Newsom well in a general election.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, is drawing attention online for resurfaced remarks about giving her boys dolls to play with and even changing male characters in books to females.
“I’ve given our boys dolls, even if they tear the head off,” Newsom said in an undated interview that resurfaced on X. “I’ve given them dolls to learn that care and caregiving is not just an activity that’s reserved for women, but that it’s also an activity that is a responsibility of men.”
She also said she changes male characters to female when reading books to her sons.
“What I have done with both my daughters and my sons is if I’m reading a book and the protagonist is a male, I just change the he to a she,” Newsom said. “And it just normalizes for my sons, in particular, it’s not even … I don’t even just do it for my girls. I do it for my sons because I want them to see that women can be the center of a story, that women matter, that women are interesting.”
Newsom also talked about deconstructing gender roles.
“At the end of the day, we’re all kind of like in this place in history maybe where we’re recognizing what it is to ultimately deconstruct all these gender roles and ultimately be human, and that’s exciting to me,” Newsom said.

As you may recall, during the 2024 election, one of Trump’s most effective ads highlighted the fact that Kamala Harris embraces this ideology.
If Gavin Newsom is the Democrat nominee in 2028, I expect we’ll see this video in an ad as well.

Come on now, be fair. In the ’90s it was all about women in men’s locker rooms. The women were “sports reporters,” but still. On the other hand, if anyone had proposed male reporters in women’s locker rooms (the situation we “allow” today) they would have strung him up.

If she was really interested in preventing her kids from being indoctrinated into a belief in rigid sex roles, she’d also give her girls GI Joes, toy trucks, and toy guns. But that’s not what she’s about. She’s about raising less-than-manly men.
Or just had all these toys and let the kids choose for themselves. Pretty sure we know how that would have turned out. My brother and I along with some kids from the ‘neighborhood’ (we were rural so kinda relative) wanted swords. None of our Parents would let us have them. My Grandfather gathered all if us and had us saw a bunch of hickory limbs and built us all wooden ‘swords’ about 30 inches long and an inch 1/2 diameter. Made us sand them, coat them with linseed oil. Made us wrap the handle/grip with leather. We beat the holy heck out of each other till someone got injured (to the ER) and not just hurt/bruised/scuffed. The Parents collectively got PO and made us burn them. So we switched to BB gun battles. Boys really will be Boys.
