Vance’s Anti-Fraud Task Force Suspends 70 Hospices in Los Angeles
The Senate also confirmed federal prosecutor Colin McDonald to lead the DOJ’s anti-fraud division.
Vice President JD Vance’s anti-fraud task force has suspended 70 hospice and home health care businesses in Los Angeles.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order this month establishing the task force to target all fraud.
Medicaid fraud came to light in November when Minnesota DHS whistleblowers accused Gov. Tim Walz of enabling widespread fraud.
One prosecutor believes Medicaid fraud could top $9 billion within 14 services in Minnesota.
But then investigations by CBS News and Nick Shirley revealed a fraud scheme in California involving hospices.
The task force uses an AI platform to identify potential fraud. From Fox News:
Vance’s task force is currently working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, run by Dr. Mehmet Oz, and last month, CMS identified and suspended 70 hospice and home health providers in Los Angeles after they were flagged as high risk fraudulent providers. The 70 hospice and home health providers had their funding paused in just one week after being identified by the task force and CMS, Fox News Digital is told.
“As the task force to root out waste, fraud and abuse ramps up its work, we expect [the number of potentially fraudulent hospice and home health providers] to grow exponentially,” a source familiar with the matter told Fox News Digital.
Before the AI platform, Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) would “manually dis-enroll organizations suspected of fraud.”
Having CMS technologists deploy the AI platform across the country will identify the fraud faster.
“Vice President Vance looks forward to carrying out the President’s War on Fraud,” a Vance spokesperson told Fox News. “The American people deserve better than being ripped off by people who hate this country, and the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud will ensure that essential taxpayer-funded services are used to support the hard-working Americans who rely on them, instead of being used by fraudsters and criminals.”
The Senate also confirmed federal prosecutor Colin McDonald to lead the DOJ’s anti-fraud division.
McDonald becomes the first assistant attorney general to tackle fraud in America.
“Colin is an experienced, skilled, and tough prosecutor who will continue doing incredible work to root out fraud across America,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi. “President Trump made an outstanding choice.”
The House Oversight Committee also opened an investigation into the California fraud, claiming Gov. Gavin Newsom knew about the scheme for years.
“Despite these red flags, it appears California has enabled hospice providers to defraud the American taxpayer and exploit vulnerable patients,” the Republicans told Newsom.
The state auditor also raised the alarm that California had a 1,500% increase in hospices since 2010.
The number worried the auditor because California didn’t need more hospice agencies.

“I see no dead people…”
Let’s see how greasy Newsolini and his lackeys predictably attempt to spin this. The reprobate’s record governing Commiefornia is one of manifest incompetence, profligacy and callous indifference, across innumerable policy fronts, but, with the leftist/Dhimmi-crat media organs’ aid and connivance, Newsolini seems confident that they’ll provide Obama-like levels of whitewashing, hagiography and wagon-circling, to advance his nomination prospects.
Italy has much more honest corruption. The service agencies are not entirely phony money scams, but legitimate providers who are bribed for preferential treatment.
Prosecutions or nothing changes. Not just those receiving the cash, but the government officials who let them do it. I know we’re unlikely to jail Walz or Newsome, but we can make them sweat.
I want to see jail sentences of people high up in the chain. Putting low level guys in jail is the way it’s usually done but I’m tired of that.
That is how it should be, but you know and I know that the Nomenklatura and their apparatchniki are above the law.

Hire Datarepublican to trace the funds back to politicians and their aligned NGOs and other rabble rousers. Then arrest them.
Yes. She is scary at her job.
That was quick.
It’s a start. A slow and feeble start but a start.
It is inconceivable to me that the employees of Medicare and Medicaid didn’t recognize the fact that they were sending tens of millions of dollars to the same building in Van nuys.
Somebody on the inside must be helping them. No sentient being could see what’s going on and not be alarmed.
They were paid to look the other way.
Think back to the early DOGE briefings and the descriptions of how systems were isolated/silos with not way other than manually to see all this much less cross reference with other database from other agencies. Now that there’s Presidential backing to root out fraud it will be difficult to hide. There’s probably at least one crusty older, 30 year tenure employee who knows the system, has tried to make the case for reforms, gotten rebuffed and sidelined for their efforts who are PO and ready to dig up the bones.
One of the unheralded triumphs of Trump 2.0 is gonna be unclogging the systems and increasing ease of the left hand knowing what right hand is doing across gov’t. That makes oversight with the Executive branch much easier. That it decreases power of existing bureaucracy is a bonus.
Something that I really don’t see mentioned in this is the Minnesota scams. Apparently both states just never even bothered to check to see if these businesses they were sending millions or billions (in the aggregate) to actually existed. Which also tells me that no one ever went there to check and see if the facilities were up to standards, meaning no one ever went to check if they were rat infested or if the elderly people there were even receiving care or if they were just murdering people, among other things. What’s happening at the “legitimate” hospice facilities and nursing homes full of vulnerable people that the stat doesn’t see fit to monitor?
Until the inevitable #Resistance Federal judge says otherwise.
If the 1773 number on the posting is accurate, while 70 is great (and we must start somewhere), 1/25. How many more can that team get?
This giant fraud network warrants its very own PRISON. Find a room for Newsom.
