Israeli Americans Brutally Attacked at Restaurant After Speaking Hebrew

Israeli Americans Brutally Attacked at Restaurant After Speaking Hebrew

During the assault, the assailants were reportedly heard shouting, “Don’t mess with Iran” and “f*** the Jews.”

Two Israeli American men were brutally attacked outside a San Jose, California, restaurant on Sunday. The victims were waiting for a table and speaking to each other in Hebrew when three young men approached and began punching them repeatedly, knocking one of them unconscious. During the assault, the assailants were reportedly heard shouting, “Don’t mess with Iran” and “f*** the Jews,” according to the Times of Israel.

The victims were transported to a local hospital and later released.

NBC Bay Area reported that police are investigating the attack as a possible hate crime. Possible?

The victims, who wish to remain anonymous, spoke to ABC 7 News. One said, “Every punch connected directly to where they wanted, to the head directly. It was on purpose to hit and make maximum damage.”

The other man told ABC, “One of the witnesses said that, they heard them saying, ‘don’t mess with Iran’, which we don’t know why. We don’t have any problem with them. But, I heard at the beginning of the fight, something with, ‘F the Jews’.”

“This kind of violence [is] not supposed to happen in the middle of the day on a Sunday – with kids and elderly people, and everybody’s walking around,” he added.

According to ABC, one of the victims “was knocked out cold and required stitches. The other was badly cut and bruised.”

ABC noted this was not the first time they had encountered one of the victims. It turns out that last August, his business was vandalized with graffiti of swastikas and hateful language.

A witness told the San Francisco Chronicle that he “was a short distance away when he noticed the attack, and that nobody stepped in to stop it.” [This article is behind a paywall.]

Several social media users made similar observations.

In between his own attacks on Israel and his efforts to revoke President Trump’s authority to fight the war in Iran, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) managed to condemn the attack in a statement on X.

Critics were quick to point out his Grand Canyon-sized hypocrisy.

Just two days earlier, Khanna was condemning Israel. He wrote, “When Israel kills women and children, silence from many of our elected leaders. When they start a war, still silence. But when they go after the oil economy, now that crosses the red line.”

As of 10 a.m. on Wednesday, there were no reports of arrests in this case.

According to the Times of Israel, attacks against Israeli Americans have “surged” since the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran began 11 days ago.

sharia patrols are nott just…oh the women better be covered properly

also,,the tone taken by the victims once again proves that the narrative being taught is so anti human so anti american so anti israel,,

that it smacks of ,once again,, bowing down and walking to the gas chambers

this whole ,,,we need to live together is great..except you are notttt speaking to that part of the culture
you are speaking to the violent wing of that culture and the tone should be

you are causing retaliation to be the next step as people will not put up with your bullying >>assaults etc

the schools and msm want the good people pacified ..groveling etc unarmed in both physicality and mental acuity regarding violence

the street thuggs know this and thats why they assault those they think/know wont fight back

Well, to be honest, I think nobody helping when there is a violent act going on has actually been going on for decades.

I was 19 at a state fair in Wisconsin five decades ago and it was very busy. It was probably 8 o’clock at night and I was with my boyfriend and his friends and he was a Vietnam veteran and there was a man who started beating the crap out of his girlfriend 10 feet from us in this little grassy area and everybody stood around and I was the only one that went in there to stop it and everyone was screaming at me to get out But I stopped it and I was so shocked to hear my Vietnam boyfriend didn’t want to get involved, he said, two crazy drunk people. Why do you wanna do that?
On one level I understood what he said, but on the other level, I couldn’t just watch a man beat the shit out of a woman.

One should take care to be absolutely sure you know who the good guys are and who the bad guys are before intervening in a physical altercation. If you didn’t see the fight start, getting involved best avoided because you might end up bopping the wrong people. And sometimes there is no “innocent” party to a fight.

Personally, because I carry everywhere, I would hesitate to intervene in a fight because I can’t afford to lose my sidearm to someone. I might stand by until someone is subdued (if it reaches that point) and then warn off the others, because at least then I know I’m protecting someone from unlawful violence even if the defender(s) won the fight.

I once read a known modern self-defense guru highly discouraging “lethal force in defense of others.” His analogy was, “if you casually met someone and learned that they were in need of a lifesaving medical procedure that cost tens (or possibly hundreds) of thousands of dollars, would you immediately offer to fund it for them? Because that’s what you will be spending in legal fees for defending their life.”

I didn’t watch the video of Iryna Zarutska being stabbed to death, in Charlotte, but the photos that I saw of the poor woman, crying while mortally wounded, are hugely disturbing and distressing. Notably, not one of the three or so black passengers who were feet away from Iryna came over to comfort her and/or attempt to provide medical assistance.

Fecklessness and indifference are the Dhimmi-crats’ and fallaciously self-styled “progressives'”/”liberals'” default reaction, when witnessing innocents being attacked. These reprobate pukes will strut and preen all day long, carrying their protest signs and chanting their political slogans, but when they are presented with an actually opportunity to confront evil and/or to help crime victims, they turn tail and look the other way.

When you do in leftist controlled areas like NYC the police arrest you and subject you to years of legal bills. It’s not surprising at least to me that people have reacted by not wanting to get involved. The result is that the left can use thugs like these to enforce their views because the thugs will just have all charges dropped and anyone trying to help will be persecuted.

if the local governments think that vigilantism is or will be on the rise against the thuggs they will surely turn up the heat on the good guys,,,,but that will expose them once again

AND THAT is how and why djt was elected in 2024

because of the crime

other factors did nottt weigh in as hard and mighty as the criminal elements on the streets ..even many leftys were bold enough to say so in public

the illegals who were sent up north of the border and took over hotels and more importantly the

limelight>>>money>> victim narrative took so strong that many in the blm strongholds saw their own lifestyles threatened and took up the mantle for trump

which btw the irony is now that trump is tcb at the border those same people will abandon the maga cause that they momentarily stood up for

but its bull and all that trickles down to the public

So merely speaking Hebrew makes one a target. This was an attack on Jews as opposed to Israelis. Had this attack occurred in Texas, even in the very blue city of Austin, I expect the outcome would have been way different. People would have helped. Lots of people in Texas walk around armed, and are not afraid to use their weapons to defend a victim. I don’t go beyond my mailbox without my weapons which are both lethal and non-lethal. I hope I never have to use any of them.

The only room that I do not always carry a gun into is my office. That’s because in the attached bathroom and walk-in closet there are at least three loaded handguns and a loaded AR-15!

Biggest worry now will be copycat behviors.

Where do we learn about this sort of thing? Mostly through the msm. As we all know they are liars and never report the truth. There will have to be a major anti-islam revolt where large groups go at each other before eyes are opened. The msm will down play small Muslim terror events and always slant their reports in favor of the terrorists.

If CNN were to report ,which they won’t since to them it’s a non-story, it might go like this: 3 young men out for a lovely str0ll on Sunday found themselves punching evil colonizers after being provoked by their colonial language.

Before I even read the post, I assumed it would be California or NYC.
So it’s California.
How did I know? Because no one was carrying a sidearm to painfully dissuade these terrorists from continuing.

Why do I feel the need to carry? THIS is why I carry.

This is not why I carry. If I were a bystander (in my state) and shot one or more of these assailants, I would lose my carry ticket, my firearm, and quite possibly my freedom. I will defend myself and my family. I would cheer if one of these victims pulled a gun and defended himself but in today’s world it is imprudent for one to defend others with deadly force.

True, but in my state you can be sure that you will at best be detained and questioned, necessitating the need for a lawyer. Your firearm (and any others they may find in your home) will be sent to a bonded warehouse until cleared. You are responsible for the fees the warehouse charges, which quickly become greater than the value of the guns. The DA WILL indict you and you will have to prove the lawfulness of your actions (again, while paying an attorney). You will most likely get a jury with at least two anti-gun people. Your carry license will be suspended until cleared and then take at least six months to be reinstated. You will lose work time, if not your entire employment, and even if found not guilty you will always be remembered as that vigilante guy. Want to coach your kid’s sports team, volunteer at the homeless shelter, run for local office?–forget it. I feel it’s prudent to consider these things in advance to help guide how you will react in the moment.

In my state the police mostly shrug for legitimate shoots, “lawful use of force.” I have good insurance as well. I’m not saying I’d just yell “YEE HAW!” and start blasting, but in a clear case like this I’d shoot if necessary. My main concern would be accidentally hitting the victim.

If you use it, you have to take into account whether there’s much wind. The perp will get most of it, but you might find yourself getting a dose as well.

Better alternative would be a Byrna gun. Some are now concealable.

‘Watch ya step kid
Watch ya step, Protect ya Neck kid’

Wise words from the Wu-Tang Clan 35 years ago. (Dang I’m getting old). We no longer live in a high trust society. Everyone is gonna have to adjust to the reality of the world we inhabit and quit pretending and wishing we lived in another. Most of human history is marked by violence and aggression. Western Civilization, the last century and a half or so anyway, achieved a brief respite from that Hobbesian reality. This temporary respite was achieved by social agreement/acceptance that the achievement and maintenance of that respite required enforcers whose job it was to deter and stop greater violence by freely employing lesser, targeted violence. Unfortunately society no longer tolerates the effective tactics and punishments required to maintain peace, so ordinary Citizens in a growing number of jurisdictions are largely back on the hook to be prepared to deter and/or successfully defend themselves from violence. Odds are no random stranger is gonna be willing to risk their own life, potential prison term and financial ruin to defend you so adjust your lifestyle to accommodate that reality or don’t… but no whining when the reality hits you.

Not void, definitely altered. When the voting population allows a return to traditional masculinity v a suppression/rejection of masculinity or the emerging TradCon Female version of a conditional masculinity allowed only in the service of women (usually phrased as ‘a real Man would/must do X or provide Y) then we will have a more traditionally safe society. The high trust society depends on the widespread willing cooperation with all sorts of non statutory civic norms/traditions and if we reject traditional masculinity we won’t get returned.

Was it ever a high-trust society? Before the GCA and state permitting schemes, guns could be, and often were, everywhere and anywhere. You couldn’t know that there was a high likelihood that nobody was armed in the church, or restaurant, or even a school. The default was, “Someone here could be armed,” if for no other reason there were few controls on going armed in public (except in some of our largest cities).

Heinlein made the observation “An armed society is a polite society” 82 years ago. He was inveighing against making changes that would result in a less “polite society,” of the sort we have today in many places. America had a polite society when generally anyone you might meet could have been armed. As firearms have been restricted in certain jurisdictions, those restrictions have arguably made the people in them “less polite” (a nice way to say “violently out of control”), while the converse, that society remains polite where people are possibly armed, remains true.

This goes back before 1776, but a man in New England was accused of stealing the king’s timber. His Majesty’s government sent him a letter detailing the charges and naming the date and time for him to explain himself at a specific courthouse in Boston. He showed up. That’s the high trust society that we inherited 250 years ago.

It goes back even further. In the Roman Republic, an arrested citizen was never put in chains, as were non-citizens when arrested.

But here before 1776, there were no police, and it wasn’t always possible to detail soldiers to arrest people from remote farms or homesteads for non-violent offenses. I imagine your story was the rule, rather than the exception. Again, it was a polite society because the king wasn’t shy about enforcing his law with violence. The idea behind “An armed society is a polite society” is that nobody in such a society has a monopoly on violence, therefore everyone treads more carefully when dealing with his fellows. Naturally, most dealt very carefully with officials who exercised authority in the name of a king. But injustice wasn’t tolerable forever to a people who had the arms themselves to enforce their rights. When the king’s actions became less and less “polite,” the people were able to respond in their own defense.

I believe it was for the most part. Lots of places, heck most places there was proactive policing. Cops knew their assigned patrol area, the people in it and want was ‘normal’ within it. Here in rural Alabama there’s no shortage of arms, never has been and while the crime rate is pretty low there are still crimes of violence.

IMO the real decline began with refusal to take mental health seriously and lock away those who were dangerous to others. Far too much unearned grace handed out, someone screaming on the sidewalk….they should STFU when told by Cops or go to Jail/loony bin…and none too gently bring them into compliance via force as needed to gain their compliance with the arrest. The feminization of our society to become more ‘compassionate’ inclusive, egalitarian v the more masculine traditions of swift consequences, objective standards and merit is on full display. When we stop putting up with incivility and return to lowered threshold for Cops to ‘keep the peace’ (with a baton if asking and ordering don’t work) then society will get back on track. Add to that no special privileges or exemptions in LEO response or enforcement. It doesn’t matter what sex, race, ethnicity the suspect is only their actions, whether those acts violated the law and whether they submit to arrest or require force.

The rehabilitative justice system is a short way to describe a lot of what you’re talking about.

Maybe, I’d make a distinction for juvenile justice system as it was sold…cutting an otherwise good kid a break for a first time relatively minor offense.

The primary purpose of prison is to warehouse the criminal away from society at large. Secondary purpose is punishment. At best any rehabilitation is tertiary and really is dependent on the individual incarcerated not on resources pumped into the prison system. They don’t need TV, radio or internet. No hot plates. They eat whatever is provided or starve. They can have a single book at a time.

Personally I’d return to work camps like in ‘Cool hand Luke’ for non violent offenders. For violent offenders and those judged to be dangerous or predatory within prison do what the Russians do. Concrete everything, no metal but the bars. Two concrete bunks in the cell. Confined to that cell 22 hours a day. Let out daily for 2 hours under heavy escort to exercise (in a segregated chain link fence cube roughly 30ft by30ft and to shower. Prisoners required to bend over at waist as if to touch toes but with arms extended back, wrists together, head down to ensure officer safety and compliance. Any refusal or resistance earns a K9 and half a dozen guards dog piling them restoring discipline.

Yeah, cops walked a beat. That is the threat of violence posed by the state was regularly visible to all. And cops were notorious for doling out violence generously when necessary, with no worry of repercussions.

“An armed society is a polite society” isn’t incompatible with your rural Alabama, or neighborhoods where doors may still be unlocked to this day. Generally, there is a threat that guns lurk behind those doors because everyone in the community knows how their neighbors love them some guns.

words so that if you deviate from that gov approved speech you will be held in contempt

either legally and/or by society >>loss of job etc

Even though I’m a suburb kid I’ve always walked around with my head on a swivel. I’ve always been wary of those around me because you just never know.

Soros progressives have greatly accelerated destruction of society:

    1) Defund the police
    2) Demonization of ICE and celebration of illegal aliens.
    3) War on Trump often led now by progressive judges.
    4) Refusal to charge perps for property crimes.
    5) Abolishment of cash bail.
    6) Unfair charging of police officers.
    7) Charging of good Samaritans
    8) Refusal to charge progressive protesters (rioters)
    9) Short/No sentencing of criminals for violent crimes
    10) Refusal to prosecute protected minorities even for violent crimes,

Progressives distain law and order except when it is applied to their political foes and
their supporters so it is not surprising that rule of law is no longer feared when there are no consequences.

Yep. Until voters choose to return to what works; harsh, swift consequences delivered without regard to sob stories about circumstances and the sex, race, ethnicity of the criminal they will continue to have events like this.

San Jose is Santa Clara County. Virtually NO ONE gets a concealed weapon carry permit there.

Unlikely they will face any jail time if by some chance they are prosecuted in San Jose.

Maybe the Feds can prosecute as a hate crime. Would not be surprising if they were illegal immigrants. If so deport them back to where they came from.

think of how the transitioning of the LEO has led the way

“too many” wht cops..not enough blk cops

now not enough female cops

now not enough (female) social workers

fjb took care of that to some degree by naming more black matriarchy to the benches than anyone ever

and now more police chiefs who are “from records and personnel” ( thanks dirty harry) or better yet

been on the streets so they could overcome any objections and given credit where they shouldnt get that credit but once again

who is going to be the whistleblower and risk their pensions etc to call out those facts

no they’ve gone to

you cant choke out a bad person so the cops are grabbing at arms and legs while the bad guys are doing whatever they want

well, we weren’t there–from the video, this appears to be an unprovoked assault–whether you would / could intervene is a personal matter–haven’t carried for a while around here as haven’t really felt the need–whether you carry or not, again a personal matter–have intervened in a couple of situations where innocents were targeted–one with an armed aggressor the other with an unarmed aggressor–was unarmed myself each time–sustained injuries each time but nothing life-threatening and was able to do what needed to be done

if you carry, you need to consider an intervention carefully–your goal is to stop the assault–if you introduce a lethal weapon into a situation similar to the one above, you’ve lifted the event to another dimension entirely–in the after action review leo/a judge/a jury are going to look at proportionality for certain and is a rather subjective aspect to determine–again, your choice

there is a huge spectrum of disciplines available that will train you in the basics of unarmed self-defense–not bruce lee / michelle yeogh stuff but simple/practical methods that are effective and repeatable

if you carry you’ve certainly trained with your weapon–if you don’t or if you’re confronted with a situation when you don’t have your weapon on you, you still need to be to able defend/protect yourself and your loved ones
