James Talarico is the progressive Democrat candidate for a U.S. Senate seat in Texas this year, and to say that his views are somewhat out of step with Texans is an understatement.
In addition to being a big supporter of abortion and the transing of kids, Talarico pushed veganism in order to fight climate change back in 2022 while wearing a face mask.
Rejecting beef should go over well in Texas, right?

Video Resurfaces of James Talarico Pushing Veganism to End ‘Existential’ Threat of Climate Change
James Talarico, the Democrat nominee for the U.S. Senate race in Texas, had yet another insane video resurface on Monday. In the video from 2022, Talarico claims that the world needs to lower their meat consumption to combat the “existential” threat of climate change and touts his progressive move to become a “non-meat” campaign.
“We have, I think, heard more and more of issues of animal welfare,” Talarico said. “I think not just because it’s the right thing to do and the moral thing to do, but it’s also—as all of you know—necessary to fight climate change.”
“It is now existential that we try to reduce our meat consumption and that we try to respect animals in all aspects of society,” Talarico continued telling the Texas crowd. “I am proud to say that our campaign has officially become a non-meat campaign…we are only buying vegan products from our local vegan businesses.”

Last week, Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist suggested that it would be difficult to elect Talarico in San Francisco. She was talking about moments just like this one:
“People always think, ‘Maybe we can turn Texas blue.’ And they just nominated someone [James Talarico] who led the fight to trans children at the state legislature, who believes that abortuaries should be in every federal courthouse in the country, and that abortionists should be federal employees. And he said that God is nonbinary. It would be difficult to elect this person in San Francisco. The idea that you would put someone in Texas with these views … it’s going to be very difficult for Democrats”

Why what a smashingly top thought idea! It is a well known fact of agrian economics that there is no need to leave even the tiniest carbon footprint in the pursuit of providing those waves of grain throughout our fair land. Why have hammer and sickle and a few thousand low paid laborers toiling day in and day out and it’s a crust for everyone in the breadline.
Your more exotic crops such as berries will simply be imported. It may take them sometime to get here, What with the time spent in port repairing sails and replacing worn timber. But if it was good enough for the 18th century it is good enough for us.
