IDF Orders Mass Evacuation of Hezbollah Stronghold in Beirut Ahead of Strike

As the Operation Roaring Lion enters its sixth day, the Israeli Air Force has destroyed more than 300 ballistic missile launchers across Iran.

With Iran and its proxy terrorist group, Hezbollah, launching simultaneous missile strikes on Israel for the second day, the Israeli military has issued evacuation orders for the terrorist-controlled Dahiya neighborhoods south of Beirut.

“The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) published an evacuation notice on Thursday for residents of Beirut’s Dahieh suburb, calling on them to leave their homes immediately,” the Israel National News reported. “The statement published by the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Col. Avichay Adraee, stated: ‘Urgent notice to residents of Dahieh in Beirut – save your lives and evacuate your homes immediately.'”

Beirut residents were taking the warning seriously and had begun moving to safe areas demarcated by the IDF. “Residents were filmed fleeing from Dahieh in Beirut, following widespread evacuation warnings issued by IDF Arabic-language spokesperson,” Israel’s Ynetnews noted.

The Ynetnews quoted an Israeli defense official, warning of an impending “large-scale strike in the area” that houses Hezbollah’s top terrorist leadership, underground bunkers, weapons stockpiles, and Shia-Islamist fighters. The upcoming offensive against Hezbollah would be “one of the most dramatic developments so far in the fighting along the northern front” since the Lebanon-based terrorist group declared war on Israel on October 8, 2023, a day after the Hamas-led massacre, the official said.

Since Monday, the Israeli Air Force has been conducting targeted strikes on Hezbollah’s top leadership, after the Lebanon-based terrorist group entered the war by firing rockets at cities and towns in northern Israel.

The IDF has also undertaken a limited ground offensive in southern Lebanon, flushing out Hezbollah terrorists and dismantling their infrastructure along the Israeli border.

“The Israel Defense Forces announced overnight that it has expanded its ground deployment in southern Lebanon, seizing several commanding positions inside Lebanese territory beyond the five posts previously held,” Israel’s i24NEWS reported Tuesday.

Israel strikes Hezbollah command center in Beirut

Amid evacuation warnings, Israeli fighter jets struck a Hezbollah command center in Beirut. “A short while ago, the Israeli Air Force completed a wave of intelligence-based strikes in Beirut against several command centers belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization,” the IDF announced on Thursday.

“Among the command centers targeted was a command center used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization’s aerial unit,” the IDF revealed. “The command centers that were struck were intended to be used by Hezbollah to advance and carry out various terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.”

Israeli Air Force degrades Iranian ballistic missile capabilities, destroys over 300 launch sites.

As the Operation Roaring Lion enters its sixth day, the Israeli Air Force has destroyed more than 300 ballistic missile launchers across Iran.

The destruction of hundreds of launchers creates a bottleneck on Iran’s ability to sustain ballistic missile fire. While Iran possessed around 2500 ballistic missiles — according to the IDF estimates — the number of launchers in its arsenal is much lower. By the end of the 12-Day War in June 2025, Iran had only 200 ballistic missile launchers left, down from an estimated 400 at the beginning of the conflict.

“Since the beginning of the operation, over 300 missile launchers and defense systems were struck throughout Iran, with emphasis on western Iran, in order to further expand aerial superiority over Iran and minimize as much as possible the scale of launches toward the State of Israel,” the IDF said in a statement on Thursday.

The military disclosed the details of its strikes against the regime’s ballistic missile capabilities:

As part of the strikes, the IDF struck infrastructure belonging to the Iranian terror regime’s ballistic missile array. Among the targets struck: an underground infrastructure site used by the Iranian regime to store ballistic missiles and storage sites for missiles intended for use against aircraft.

Additionally, the IDF struck several launch sites of long-range ballistic missiles that posed a real and immediate threat to the State of Israel and its civilians.

Why warn. They should know enough not to live around terrorists. Now the terrorists have been warned including any “temporary” leadership. Just warn that any place in Lebanon housing terrorists or their stuff is subject to any bombing at any time and let them draw their own conclusions.

They won’t be able to take all the stockpiled munitions with them.

Basically true, but the warnings give the IDF some cover when the cries of “making war on civilians” start coming in. Just as the Potemkin negotiations with Iran where the US and Israeli teams had to sit and listen to the Iranians blather on…. The US / Israeli teams knew that there would be no solution achieved and that eventually it would end up with just what we are watching today. But they had to check that box to proceed to the next page….

And Alin is correct…. the fighters might skedaddle, but they can’t take the equipment and munitions with them. They will have to wait for the ChiComs and NORKs to sell them more.

Around 2008 I heard an NPR exchange where the PLO rep complained that the IDF did not give them advance notice before the attack.

Dali himself could not paint this surrealism.

They always do that. That have always warned people in Gaza before bombing buildings, including dropping small explosives on roof’s of buildings

RWTR is reporting that Noem has been fired

that’s always assuming that Hezbollah allows the civilians to leave
