Hegseth: U.S. Killed Iranian ‘Leader of the Unit Who Attempted to Assassinate’ Trump
The man is likely Rahman Mokadam, the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) special operations division.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed that the U.S. killed the leader of an Iranian group that tried to assassinate President Donald Trump.
“Yesterday, the leader of the unit who attempted to assassinate President Trump was hunted down and killed,” announced Hegseth. “Iran tried to kill President Trump, and President Trump got the last laugh.”

The man is likely Rahman Mokadam, the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) special operations division.
In January 2022, the now-dead Ayatollah Ali Khamenei released a video depicting the assassination of Trump in revenge for killing Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s top terror operative.
A year later, Amirali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC’s aerospace force, admitted that the regime had plots to assassinate Trump.
Could you imagine their wrath now? Hegseth also said that the U.S. sank Iran’s prize ship, called the Soleimani:
In fact, last night, we sunk their prize ship, the Soleimani. Looks like POTUS got him twice. Their Navy, not a factor. Pick your adjective. It is no more.
In fact, yesterday in the Indian Ocean, and we’ll play it on the screen there. An American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters.
Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo. Quiet death. The first sinking of an enemy ship by a torpedo since World War Two.
Like in that war, back when we were still the War Department, we are fighting to win.

not true pete
the dnc leadership is still there
What kind of Iranian name is Thomas Matthew Crooks?
Must have hallucinated that one at the bottom of the bottle Pete
It’s a democrat name.
It’s as Iranian as Seymour.
Hegseth said there was an Iranian assassin. He never said it was Crooks. I remember the contemporaneous reports when the Iranian attempt was stopped, far short of Trump.
You do know your people have tried to kill Trump multiple times, right?
