The Department of Homeland Security told The New York Post that the department has arrested thousands of illegal alien gang members under President Donald Trump.
“DHS has arrested more than 7,800 criminal illegal alien gang members from American communities since President Trump took office,” boasted DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis.
Bis’s comments come after Ramiro Gutierrez, an alleged MS-13 member, was sentenced to 55 years in prison for multiple murders in Queens in 2018 and 2019.
“This MS-13 gang member participated in two brutal murders while illegally in our country,” continued Bis. “This monster is now facing 55 years in prison for these barbaric murders.”
Tito Martinez Alvarenga received 48 years in prison for the same murders.
“In committing these terrible murders, these defendants and MS-13 put entire communities at risk, including innocent commuters,” said United States Attorney Nocella. “They will spend decades in prison for their crimes, and our Office and our law enforcement partners will keep working to ensure that any gang member who does not learn from their example is similarly held accountable.”
Gasper Florentino, an MS-13 gang member from Mexico, was “convicted for aggravated sexual battery of a victim 13-14-years-old and rape by force, threat, or intimidation in Fairfax, Virginia.”
On March 9, ICE arrested Hugo Rolando Garcia-Alvarez, an illegal alien and Surenos gang member, who was “convicted of kidnapping an adult to sexually assault them in Los Angeles, California.”
Border Czar Tom Homan backed up the claim on Laura Ingraham’s show on Tuesday night while criticizing activists who interfere with ICE:
About a year ago, I gave a speech at CPAC, and I was angry at the speech because just before I gave that speech, I read a list the 10 worst criminals we took off the streets of Massachusetts. Eight of them, eight of them, raped children. So the agitators don’t, if they understand it, then it’s just, they’re just idiots. But they need to understand, 70% of everybody arrests is a public safety threat or criminal. That’s who we’re going to arrest. And Schumer out there saying that ICE terrorizing communities.Know the people we’re arresting are terrorizing communities, and that’s why we’re out there, putting our lives on the line to arrest people and take them off the street, make this country safer again.
