Trump to Sue ‘Comedian’ Trevor Noah Over Epstein Island Joke at Grammys

Trump to Sue ‘Comedian’ Trevor Noah Over Epstein Island Joke at Grammys

“Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”

The Grammy Awards show on Sunday night was a total disgrace.

In addition to the disgusting anti-American comments from singer Billie Eilish, the host of the evening, failed former Daily Show host Trevor Noah, made an inappropriate joke about Trump and the infamous Epstein Island.

I hope Trump puts him into the poor house.

Politico reports:

Trump vows to sue comic Trevor Noah after Epstein island jibe at Grammys

Donald Trump said he will launch legal action against comedian Trevor Noah after the comedian joked about the U.S. president visiting convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s island.

Noah, who hosted the Grammy Awards for the sixth time, triggered Trump’s ire Sunday night with a jibe about the president’s connection to Epstein, which could have been taken to imply he had visited the financier’s infamous island.

“Song of the year, congratulations Billie Eilish, wow. That is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” Noah said. “Which makes sense, I mean, because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

Trump, in turn, blasted Noah on his social media platform Truth Social as a “poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C.” who had “better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast.”

“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!!” Trump wrote. “I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”

The president added he would “be sending my lawyers to sue” Noah “for plenty$ … Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”

Trump was asked about it yesterday at the White House.

Bill Maher warned these celebrities not to politicize the Grammys during his show on Friday night, warning them that they are alienating independent voters, but these people just can’t help themselves. They can’t not do it.

love his fighting spirit and love how he is beating them at their own game to threaten or take them to court
doesnt matter win or lose he knows it f’s with them

but having said that….just like when they rule lemon was “just reporting” (although he might have had prior knowledge to the rioters at the church which could make him an accessory)

that lefty pos will nobrains will not care

No, prior knowledge alone would not make him an accessory. Only actual participation in the riot, or agreement with them that they should riot, would get him in legal trouble. Which is what the indictment alleges, eventually, after making about 20 allegations that don’t amount to anything at all.

could be you’re right on this one

lets see if there are any(more?) videos of lemon advocating or feeding into the actions

Advocating would not be enough. There must be actual participation, or else an actual agreement with the rioters that they should commit a crime. Not telling the world in general “these people should commit a crime”, but telling them specifically “we both agree that you will commit a crime and I’ll report on it”.

Noah is South African. Deport him.

Milhouse in reply to ztakddot. | February 3, 2026 at 5:07 pm

There are news stories claiming he was naturalized in 2020, and therefore can no longer be deported no matter what he does.

Even if he were still an alien, his green card could not be revoked without good cause, and certainly not for anything he said.

Hodge in reply to Milhouse. | February 3, 2026 at 5:36 pm

I agree – even if it were possible to deport him I don’t want a “comedian” deported for making jokes about a politician. (See the article about the Hawaii ruling, above).

I don’t have any problem with suing him for slander et al although I rather wonder how far the suit can succeed. I am unclear about the “Public Figure” thing, but I am sure that Trevor Noah is going to learn about it in exquisite detail over the next several months.

    And, he’s an a-hole.

Kick John Oliver out too. All that whiny Brit does is complain and attempt to undermine the country that is graciously allowing him to call it home.

Trevor Noah and Billie Eilish did for the grammys exactly what they wanted….get them more publicity than they would have gotten otherwise.

The only thing I’ve even read about them have come from this site’s two articles about it.

Also, the left could care less if the Clintons are going to testify before Congress. They’d actually love to throw them to the slaughter as sacrificial lambs if they can tie either one to Trump.

The leftist comedians see the numbers. If 20 out of 1,000 people like them, and 30 hate them, they’ll make their money off the 20. If they do a stunt like this, now they have 25 people liking them and 60 hating them, so in their minds, that’s more money. They’ll run that ‘hate’ number up as high as possible, as long as the low number makes tiny little bumps upward.

This form of exposure is counterproductive. Every year, more people who actually watch the award shows are turned off by their politicization, and stop watching them. Those people who have already stopped watching them read of the attendees’ antics and know that they are still unwatchable, and will avoid watching them next year. (Maybe a two-year “all’s clear” might bring some of those people back, but that doesn’t help the shows that have already been aired.) All the libs are already watching. It seems to me that the actions themselves drive people away and the after-the-fact publicity keeps people away from the next cycle of awards. The publicity doesn’t have an upside. Are we made more aware of the awards? Yes. Did we watch the product to become aware? No, we did not. That’s a fail.

He should have made a joke about Epstein exploiting the “goyim” instead. Can’t claim slander on that one.

Another example of why the Left can’t meme.

For something about a real person or event to be funny, it usually must riff on a truth about them. If a joke or meme relies on a lie, it’s unfunny. Humor turns on truth. This is why the audience (for whom this “joke” was written) thinks the joke funny – they believe the lie is true. But an objective examination of the joke rates it “unfunny” because its premise (that Trump has been to pedo island) is demonstrably false (or at least not demonstrably true by any objective measure).

Trump has an awfully high win rate when it comes to these lawsuits.

No, he doesn’t. He’s never won even one of them.

I believe they considered a beneficial settlement a win. I certainly prefer a large check to arguing a case in court.

It’s better from a financial point of view, but Trump doesn’t need the money. He’s after moral wins, and a settlement is not a moral win. It doesn’t vindicate him in any way. On the contrary, in the leftist mythology it only serves to blacken his character even more, because they regard the settlements as bribes/extortion, not as the result of a serious concern that the defendant might lose in court.

ztakddot in reply to Milhouse. | February 3, 2026 at 5:36 pm

I think a settlement is a win especially against someone with deep pockets. My opinion only.

Hodge in reply to Milhouse. | February 3, 2026 at 5:40 pm

A friend of mine had been a policeman for some years before I met him; he was in a different profession then. He taught me an axiom of the police.

“Maybe we can’t put him in jail but we can take him for a ride downtown.”

Milhouse in reply to Hodge. | February 3, 2026 at 8:32 pm

You’re forgetting SLAPP laws. If Trump files a frivolous defamation suit and Noah chooses to fight it, he can hit back with a SLAPP suit.

        irishgladiator63 in reply to Milhouse. | February 3, 2026 at 6:50 pm

A settlement is a win. The other side essentially forfeits because they’re afraid they’ll lose and they’re trying to mitigate the damage. It’s particularly damning due to the amount of control leftists have over the court system.
Bonus is that whatever leftist or leftist entity being sued appears to be a coward, bending the knee to Trump, or even in league with Trump, destroyimg their lefty street cred.
Plus Trump doesn’t have to pay court costs.
Sounds like an all around winn.

A settlement is a win. The other side essentially forfeits because they’re afraid they’ll lose and they’re trying to mitigate the damage.

That’s one possible explanation, but there is the other possibility, which is what the left is convinced is the case here. One standard and common way for politicians to launder their bribes is to sue someone and then accept a settlement. And that’s what the left, including Noah, firmly believe has happened in all those cases.

          irishgladiator63 in reply to irishgladiator63. | February 3, 2026 at 9:57 pm

So leftists think that CNN or Trevor Noah is bribing Trump if they settle? Bribing him to do what? It makes no sense.

Are you seriously unaware of the way the mainstream news industry has spun Trump’s settlement with ABC/Disney, Paramount, Facebook, and Youtube?! They’re firmly convinced all of these payments were outright bribes.

For instance Paramount paid him $16M, not because it really thought it might lose the case but in order to secure FCC approval for its merger with Skydance. ABC’s $16M settlement, which took place just before he was due to take office, was protection money to prevent him from retaliating against them. Likewise the other settlements were all made not on the basis of the strength of his cases against the defendants, which the Dems spin as ridiculously weak, but in order to secure favorable treatment and avoid malicious treatment.

You’ll never convince a Democrat that this is all nonsense, because they’re already convinced that he’s a crook, and this is how they expect crooked politicians (like Bill Clinton) to operate.

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | February 3, 2026 at 7:14 pm

Nobody believes that. Settlements publicly humble the payor. Ask Nick Sandman and Kyle Rittenhouse if they took the W.

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | February 3, 2026 at 8:31 pm

No one knows how much they got. The payers in both cases made no admission, no apology, and continue to claim they were right.

But at least in those cases there’s no possibility of corruption. However much or little they got, it wasn’t a bribe or extortion. But when the plaintiff is someone in a position to hurt the defendants or to help them, there will always be some suspicion that the settlement was a bribe and/or extortion, and that is the Democrat line on the Trump settlements. They take them as proof that he has corrupted the news industry, and that he is corrupt.

          irishgladiator63 in reply to henrybowman. | February 3, 2026 at 10:01 pm

That’s also nonsense. The networks and CNN have hundreds of high powered attorneys lawyers they pay millions a year to. If that combined legal might can’t beat a suit by an individual like Sandman or Rittenhouse, then everyone knows they were in the wrong and feared losing. Otherwise they would.just steamroll the plaintiffs in court. Not disclosing the amount just looks bad for the defendants, because practically it only exists to protect the. . The plaintiffs aren’t going to be embarrassed by how much the the defendants had to pay them. But the defendants certainly will be.

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | February 4, 2026 at 3:00 am

Irish, you’re assuming the settlements were high, and would embarrass the defendants. How do you know they weren’t very low, nuisance money, and are kept secret so as not to embarrass the plaintiffs? None of us are privy to these agreements, so we can’t possibly know. It could be either way, and the defendants are certainly spinning it their way to the extent that they can without breaching the agreed-on secrecy.

DaveGinOly in reply to Milhouse. | February 4, 2026 at 2:16 am

A settlement, as you say, may not be considered a “win,” but when money comes out of one’s pocket, that person’s accountant will record that as a loss, not a gain. So, yes, although the payee doesn’t admit to wrong-doing, he does suffer a loss. They can “regard” it as they will. That doesn’t help them get their money back.

Milhouse in reply to DaveGinOly. | February 4, 2026 at 3:02 am

It’s not about money. If those settlements were bribes, as the Dems claim, then they say nothing about his “win rate” and therefore the actual strength of his cases. If he sues Noah, the fact that all these people settled with him is no indication that he’s likely to have a strong case. Of course the Dem spin is nonsense, but you can’t prove that.

Semper Why in reply to Milhouse. | February 4, 2026 at 11:30 am

I don’t think Trump is going for a “moral win”. He’s trying to change behavior. Dragging people into court for dumb stuff like this is an effort to change their behavior and downstream of that, change the culture/public perception of him.

Trump doesn’t care what the leftists (including Noah) think of him. They are beyond convincing that Trump is anything but the devil incarnate. But Trump may be able to tamp down on hacks like Noah flooding the airwaves with anti-Trump crap and that will help him with the more centrist masses.

DJT has more lawyers than Noah so make him pay up to them

By the way, on the Don Lemon indictment, Aaron Walker agrees with everything I wrote here. He goes through the indictment and finds that of the 28 allegations, the first 21 are a big lot of nothing, and the only serious allegations start with 22.

I think he’s wrong about 22, because Lemon had his cameraman with him, so when he said “we” he may have been referring to just the two of them, and not the mob. But from 23 we definitely have alleged crimes.
