Loudoun County School Leaders Under Fire Over ‘Terrorist’ Training Simulating Parents as Attackers
One parent cannot believe the school board concentrates on its safety more than student safety.
Why is it always the Loudoun County School Board in Virginia? Why!?
On January 13, a Loudoun County employee allegedly struck and killed a student with a maintenance vehicle. (WJLA reported that the student was 20 years old. Um, what!?)
Hours later, the school held a meeting about school board safety behind closed doors, mainly on “terrorist” training.
Who were the terrorists? Parents:
According to multiple sources who were in the room but requested we not identify them, the terrorism training involved dozens of actors, brought in by the school board, to act as Loudoun County parents. Those pretend “parents” sat in the gallery in the school board meeting room as actual families normally would.
In this training, one of the parents has a gun. The actors were screaming and yelling and running around the room, witnesses said. School board members and staff were instructed to “run, hide, and fight,” much the same as training provided to students in the event of an active shooter scenario.
Again, according to 7News sources, [new School Board Chair April] Chandler referred to parents as “disrupters” and “agitators” as she recalled school board meetings last year which many parents attended to speak up in support of three boys who were being investigated by the district in a case centered around policy allowing students to use the bathroom and locker room that matches their chosen gender identity, rather than their biological sex.
WJLA’s Nick Minock said one of the names was Mr. Smith.
Oh, boy.
Police arrested Scott Smith in June 2021 after a school board meeting, after he accused the board of covering up his daughter’s sexual assault by a male in the female bathroom.
Smith was convicted of disorderly conduct.
But it’s not just about the school board calling parents terrorists. Suzanne Sutterfield cannot believe that the school board appears more concerned about its safety than student safety:
“It’s appalling and it’s insulting,” Sutterfield said. “And what they want, I believe, is to again shift focus away from the matters at hand, like the horrible death of the student that was recently killed and it happened to be from an LCPS vehicle. It’s just so tragic.”
Sutterfield believes the school board should have canceled the training and instead implemented protocols to improve student safety.
“I think that they definitely should have put that at the forefront,” said Sutterfield. “I mean, my goodness. I mean, it couldn’t even be more obvious. And I think this other training shouldn’t have been happening at all.”
The school board shrugged off criticism for holding the training right after the car accident, telling The Washington Examiner that the timing “was purely coincidental, as it was planned for four days earlier.”

So what has the Loudoun County School Board done in 2026 that it knows would make parent(s) want to kill them? Is there anyone still on the board who was on it in 2022 when they got at least one of their students raped by covering up for the rapist because he pretended to be trans to get access to girls?
well heres a great solution:
just keep paying these monsters to raise your kids and it will turn out ok
Given what they cause to happen to students in their district, they should fear for their safety. I would definitely acquit any parents accused of anything regarding the board.
“Why is it always the Loudoun County School Board in Virginia?”
Secret World AWFL HQ.
You didn’t hear it from me.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, Always Loudon. Why didn’t they do everything possible to elect a different slate of members? If successful, problem probably solved.
Because they like it.
The bedroom community for Langley, and other horsey big-clubbers too tony to live in built-up Fairfax County.
Loudoun’s got more rich proggies than Wuhans got bats.
According to the thinking of many school board members in Democrat America, parents are just another kind of peasant, to be dealt with harshly whenever they become too uppity.
And, according to the thinking of those who elect them.
Just when I thought I could not be shocked.
Shocked.
As an aside, kids with IEPs are often eligible for service through the schools until they are 21. So the young woman who was killed by a school vehicle could have been special ed, or just taught so badly that she needed that extra year or two to graduate.
The linked story said she didn’t take classes during Covid and a 15 yr old neighbor said they used to play with her after school. That makes me think she was Special Ed.
Why Loudon?
Because it’s heavily populated with Progressive statists. It’s an awful religion with an awful god that believes awful things.
Loudoun County voters shouldn’t be too surprised. If you elect Dems, this is what you get. Congratulations!
In 96 my business moved me and my family from California to Northern VA and we ended up living in Leesburg, VA. Our 2 sons went to Loudoun County Schools, which were bad. Me and my wife ended up tutoring our sons through every class as the teaching was not good. Our sons finished HS in 04 and 05 and each decided on Trade Schools. After HS business moved me and my wife to Atlanta to handle cell site build out in the SE.
Everything I have heard the schools and the school board has gotten worse in Loudoun County since we left. We have some friends left in Virginia but some have moved from Loudoun County.
Elect Dhimmi-crat narcissists to your local school board and to state political offices, and you can fully expect this farcical, self-serving, corrupt and incompetent governance.
It strikes me that instead of conducting this sort of shooting scenario the more appropriate course would be to figure why Parents or taxpayers might wish to shoot them ….and then stop doing those things. It isn’t as if the Loudoun County School Board hasn’t jumped feet first into several controversial stances that riled up many in the community b/c their actions/policies were so Cray Cray. Maybe the board stopped the ideological activism and concentrated on the core traditional education mission they’d have less of their constituents looking to gun them down?
Just wait till someone really does want to gun them down.
All the training in the world won’t prepare them for it.
And if it happens it’ll in all likelihood be one of their own.
If Covid accomplished anything it was to wake parents up to how awful a ton of school boards are and what is really going on in the class rooms.
