IDF Turns to Iranians, Seeks Cooperation in a Rare Message After Trump-Netanyahu Meeting

“We ask the patriotic people of Iran…”

In a rare gesture, the Israeli military has turned to Iranian citizens, appealing to their patriotism and seeking their cooperation amid an ongoing massacre of pro-democracy protesters by the Islamic regime.

“We ask the patriotic people of Iran to please follow only our official channels of communication and to be in contact with us for any cooperation,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on its Persian-language Twitter/X account.

A similar call was made by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad shortly after the 12-Day War last June. A Persian-language X handle, reportedly linked to Mossad, revealed that it had been contacted by hundreds of Iranian Islamic Guards (IRGC) officers and soldiers willing to defect.

The Mullah regime, which grabbed power in a coup 47 years ago, is even more unpopular today. Tens of thousands of Iranians have been feared killed, as regime forces gun down demonstrators in a desperate bid to crush a nationwide uprising raging for over six weeks.

The Jerusalem Post reported:

The IDF called on Iranian dissidents to contact it on Thursday amid continuing tensions between the Islamic Republic and the United States.

“We ask patriotic Iranian people to please follow only our official contact channels and get in touch with us for any kind of cooperation,” the IDF appealed on its official Farsi-language X/Twitter account, noting that the links listed in the post were the only official accounts.

“Please ensure that you only follow and interact with the official Israeli government pages in Farsi on the Telegram platform,” a Farsi-language graphic attached to the post, labeled “important notice,” stated, noting that non-official pages may expose users to misinformation or “hostile elements.”

This is not the first time Israel has tried to reach out to Iranian dissidents.

At the start of the protests in December, an X/Twitter account that has been associated with the Mossad urged Iranians to protest against the Islamic regime, telling them that Mossad operatives were physically with them at the demonstrations.

“Go out together into the streets. The time has come,” the post read. “We are with you. Not only from a distance and verbally. We are with you in the field.”

Additionally, during the Israel-Iran War in June, the IDF’s Farsi account called on dissident Iranians to contact the Mossad.

The call comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with President Donald Trump at the White House on Wednesday. After a three-hour meeting, President Trump said he told Prime Minister Netanyahu that he “insisted that negotiations with Iran continue.” Last week, President’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, conducted two rounds of inconclusive talks with regime officials in the Gulf Arab state of Oman.

While President Trump is pursuing a diplomatic path, he is also ramping up pressure on Iran. From the 1979 U.S. Embassy hostage ordeal to the 2015 Obama nuclear deal, the regime has a history of treachery and deception when it comes to negotiations.

A second aircraft carrier strike group is expected to join the USS Abraham Lincoln already in the region. The Pentagon has ordered “a second aircraft carrier strike group to prepare to deploy to the Middle East as the U.S. military readies for a potential attack on Iran,” The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, quoting officials.

Leftist dhimmis’ and American Dhimmi-crats’ new line of vitriol expressed against Israel will now be that the evil Zionists/Colonizers/Settlers/Oppressors are attempting to overthrow the Iranian regime.

Sounds like Netanyahu is working both ends.
