Democrats Planning to Punish Companies That Cozied Up to Trump

“Once we take power, whoever the president is, we’re going to break up your companies. Your investors are going to be pissed at you, and you’re likely going to end up getting fired. …”

Last week, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice warned that when Democrats take back power, they would not look kindly on corporations, law firms, universities, and media groups who “bent the knee” to President Donald Trump. Rice said:

There will be an accountability agenda. You know, companies already are starting to hear they better preserve their documents, they better be ready for subpoenas. If they’ve done something wrong, they’ll be held accountable.

But you know, this is not going to be an instance of, you know, forgive and forget. The damage that these people are doing is too severe to the American people and to our national interest.

But according to Semafor‘s Nicholas Wu, top Democrats, anticipating a win in the House this November, are already mapping out their 2027 agenda — and it sounds a lot like what Rice outlined last week.

Following interviews with Democratic Reps. Robert Garcia (CA) and Jamie Raskin (MD), and Sen. Reuben Gallego (D-AZ) this week, Wu reported that Democrats are “weighing how harshly they would go after corporations that have courted President Donald Trump’s approval.”

The lawmakers told Wu that, ahead of a Democratic win, corporations are already preparing for “a flurry of subpoenas and information requests.”

Judiciary Committee Democrats have sent missives since last year to Paramount, Hewlett-Packard and Alphabet, and Oversight Committee Democrats have homed in on fundraising for the White House’s ballroom renovation.

Garcia, currently the ranking member of the Oversight Committee, told Semafor that “he would focus on alleged corruption in the Trump administration, Jeffrey Epstein, immigration enforcement, and even cost-of-living issues. He said his office has already contacted some corporations about a future investigative agenda.”

Garcia said, “There’s opportunities to look at not just corporations that we think are enabling some of Trump’s corruption, but certainly corporations that are not supporting American families and not really focusing on affordability.”

Raskin, the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, told Wu he will investigate “potential violations of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which forbids the president from receiving gifts from foreign governments or US taxpayers.”

The truth-challenged congressman continued, “The cardinal, original sin of Trump was to decide that he was going to use the presidency as a profit-making enterprise in his first term, and I would say that Congress should have impeached him for receiving millions and millions of dollars from foreign governments.”

Gallego proved the most bellicose, issuing the most serious threats, telling Semafor:

Once we take power, whoever the president is, we’re going to break up your companies. So all the investment you did to create these mergers are going to be for naught. Your investors are going to be pissed at you, and you’re likely going to end up getting fired as the CEO because you wasted so much money and corrupted yourself in the process.

Gallego has always been a bit of a blowhard, but this remark sounds downright fascist.

Reactions to Gallego’s remarks on social media were largely negative. Here are a few:

At any rate, it wasn’t long before another Democrat, Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, joined the fray. Responding to news that Netflix had dropped its bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, he wrote: “Paramount should enjoy its growing news monopoly while they have it because when Democrats win back power we are going to break up these anti-democratic information conglomerates. All of them.”

Democrats have spent the past decade telling anyone who will listen that Trump is a fascist. Do they not understand that they are the ones who are proposing fascist initiatives?

Do they even hear themselves?

This is the same Chris Murphy who’s gotten cozy with Alex Soros.

It’s fair to ask whether there is room in their agenda for productive governance. The last time Democrats regained the majority, the chamber was defined largely by investigations into President Trump.

Wu contacted other Democratic lawmakers about their plans if they win back the majority, but said they were reluctant to discuss specific legislative priorities publicly before the election.

Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA), the third-ranking House Democrat, took a less adversarial approach. While agreeing that the party would conduct oversight and accountability, he acknowledged that they will “have to talk about the affordability agenda, how we’re going to make life better for people if we are given the opportunity to lead, and if we’re given the opportunity to govern.”

Wu noted that House Democrats have told him they would like to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. But few have spoken to him about plans to impeach Trump. First, at least for now, they lack the votes to convict Trump in the Senate, and second, he will leave office two years after they win back the House (if they win back the House) and is not eligible to run for reelection.

Wu offered his personal view on the issue: “They faced bruising internal battles over their Trump-focused probes in the leadup to his first impeachment in 2019, and they’ll face difficult choices over where to train their investigative tools this time around, too.”

“Democrats may bite off more than they can chew by kicking off a host of investigations should they win the House back,” he added.

Ultimately, all of their plans hinge on actually winning back the House. Although the political landscape appears favorable, victory is by no means assured — particularly now that Trump has gone on the offensive — and Democrats are handing him new ammunition on a daily basis.

Hmm. I will just leave this out there and wonder what zoo animals taste like….

“Hugo Chávez was known for his strong stance on nationalization, often using direct and forceful language when ordering the seizure of businesses. Key quotes include:

“Expropriate it!” – A repeated command during live television broadcasts ordering the nationalization of private industries, particularly in the oil and banking sectors.

“The land is not private. It is the property of the state.” – Referring to his government’s seizure and redistribution of large private farmlands, justifying it as a move to empower workers and farmers.

“We are not talking about the dictatorship of the proletariat. No.” – Clarifying that while he pursued socialist policies, including expropriation, he framed them within democratic and constitutional principles, emphasizing broad societal participation.

These statements reflect Chávez’s broader economic philosophy: using state control of key industries to redistribute wealth and challenge corporate capitalism, especially in the context of Venezuela’s oil wealth.

The Democrat Party has declared itself the enemy of American business and the American people. It needs to be RICOed out of existance.

So, basically, they are putting everyone on notice that a Democrat-led government will employ Fascist tactics to punish anyone who displeases them & if you don’t want to be considered an Enemy of the State Then, you had better be an Enemy of the State to the Republican-Led administration right now. Either way, you – We The People – are screwed.

The Democrats are convinced they are going to win this November. I wonder what kind of electoral fraud they are planning?

Punish companies that cozied up to Trump–especially those who supported building the Trump Ballroom:

Google, Amazon, Apple, Meta Platforms (Facebook), Microsoft, HP Inc., Palantir Technologies, and Micron Technology.

Lockheed Martin, Booz Allen Hamilton, Caterpillar Inc., and Union Pacific Railroad.

Coinbase, Ripple, Tether America, Comcast, T-Mobile.
Altria Group and Reynolds American (tobacco), Hard Rock International, and NextEra Energy

How the hell do you support a party that hold you in this kind of contempt? If you do you really need to rethink you life choices.

Getting Anthropic out of defense work now is a wise decision. Given how democrat’s project (and they always project, I mean always, like in always) and given their lawfare history and plans, this company would likely be a key player in their future targeting of political opponents. Anthropic is not a guardian of civil liberties (see above projection comment)

Gallegos is a purple crayon eating punk. These companies he’s threatening are going to add to the Republican war chest against him.

The Bolsheviks are just waiting to open the Gulags after their prisons get filled and feeding useless mouths.
Of course food quality isn’t a priority in a Gulag as much as work projects are.

We should keep in mind that the judiciary has shown to be receptive to all kinds of nonsense when we review its performance during the entire Trump period. That is where the rubber meets the road. The expenditure of time and resources in court battles will be monumental, the process slow and agonizing. And, unfortunately, each side will win a share of the decisions, and that’s too many victories for the opposition. Politics is always going to be disruptive but republicanism will die with ignorant and/or deceitful judiciary.

This is a huge argument for shrinking the government and the government’s power enormously. Even if they hadn’t said it, there would always be that danger.

“Once we take power, whoever the president is, we’re going to break up your companies. Your investors are going to be pissed at you, and you’re likely going to end up getting fired. …”

One of America’s current deficiencies is that we have collectively forgotten (or no longer want to face the fact) that there are some tyrants who will never understand anything less definitive than a bullet between the eyes,

Bunch of fascists, I’d say what they propose is illegal but the democrats don’t care nor do their supporters nor do their tame judges,

Come try me motherfu*ker. Try to destroy my business and I will gut you like a fish. Your body will never be found.

Every one of these companies needs to send Security to the parking lots. Coexist stickers, “I bought before he was an @55hole” stickers, and other advertising of leftists noted. Then fire the owners of those cars in every employment-at-will jurisdictions.

Then look for the green-hairs and the like.

You get the picture.

The far-left and increasingly the center-left have been calling for Nuremburg Trials 2.0. Anyone who so much as bought a Trump bumper sticker or tweeted anything pro-ICE is going to be hauled in front of their kangaroo court and punished. They’re trying to do everything they claimed Trump would do (but hasn’t). Projection at its finest.

So are we playing Guess The Caption again today?
Clearly the photo is not Susan Rice. Who is it?

Note that what is being proposed here isn’t punishment for having broken the law, it’s retribution for having had a political alliance with DJT, or for failing to oppose him. They’re saying they’re going to punish people and corporations for not being part of “The Resistance.”

If Democrats make clear that corporations either support them or become an enemy of Their government then corporations become an arm of political parties and Republicans not only will, but must, destroy Democrat corporations when they return to power.

Since Democrats can’t permit Republicans to do that, Democrats can’t permit Republicans to return to power. And thus democracy is destroyed to preserve Democratcy.

Will Americans support the rise of One Party Rule in America? Given the Red-Blue state divide, it seems unlikely. And thus ACW2 is guaranteed due to Democrat efforts. Lets hope Democrats aren’t so insane that they’re committed to CommuNazism at all costs.

“If Democrats make clear that corporations either support them or become an enemy of Their government then corporations become an arm of political parties and Republicans not only will, but must, destroy Democrat corporations when they return to power”

    Sounds like pure fascism.

All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state – paraphrased to *Party.

“Wu contacted other Democratic lawmakers about their plans if they win back the majority, but said they were reluctant to discuss specific legislative priorities publicly before the election”

Look at Virginia under Spanbrurg. Only worse.
