Happy 2026, everyone!

The Legal Insurrection crew has some predictions for 2026. What are yours? Leave them in the comments.

Professor William Jacobson

These are optimistic longshots, I know, but here goes:

  • (1) Republicans will hold the House and Senate, as the economy picks up steam in the spring and summer and people become more optimistic.
  • (2) The Mullah Regime in Iran will fall as the currency and economy collapse.
  • (3) Qatar will see its survival at risk and will stop funding and promoting the Jew-hating, anti-Israel, anti-American, and pro-Islamic influencers and podcasters.”

Kemberlee Kaye

I predict 2026 will be an a-mazing year. The woke right is actively being kicked out of the tent and into the gutter where they belong. We’re seeing the very beginnings of a massive taxpayer awakening thanks to the fraud being exposed in Minnesota. It’s not just daycares and it’s not just Minnesota. Americans are struggling to afford much in this life while people who hate them and hate this country stroll in and bilk the taxpayers out of their hard earned money. The inflection point is near and it will be glorious. Maybe we’ll finally rid ourselves of this “temporary” income tax while we’re at it. A girl can dream, anyway. I also think this is going to be an amazing year for the Legal Insurrection Foundation. We’ve accomplished so much in a short time and we’re just getting started. I also predict a better than usual spring gardening season now that we’re not getting chemtrailed 5 times a day. I’m not usually excited for a new year — my new year begins on my birthday, but I think 2026 is going to be something special. The winds are changing. What waits will be glorious.

Mary Chastain

My Bears will make it to the Super Bowl! My Cubs will somewhat dominate this season…if Jed Hoyer would get us some more arms and extend Kyle Tucker.

I also bet Canada will demolish everyone in curling in the Olympics. (I loooove curling!)

Then we have the World Cup!! My beloved Italy will hopefully do something this time around after missing out on the last World Cup. Sheesh. They’re so dramatic on the pitch, though.

Okay, okay, okay. Political wise? Everything and everyone will continue to stink because a uniparty rules us.

Leslie Eastman

1) California’s green retreat goes from jog to sprint: After backing away from some high‑profile climate mandates and subsidies in 2025, Sacramento quietly shelves more climate cult programs when the budget math and grid reliability both go sideways.

2) Net Zero becomes “Net Nope”: After more banks and asset managers quietly abandon high‑profile Net Zero alliances, 2026’s hot Wall Street euphemism is “transition optionality,” code for “we’re done lighting money on fire for ESG theater.”

3) Global Monkeypox Outbreak in July: A new strain of monkeypox that is more virulent and transmissible will follow after “Pride Month” festivities conclude, as biology will always triumph over narratives and agendas.

4) California’s “Bullet Train” project will be Ground Zero for a deep dive into the state’s system of fraud: Newsom, term-limited out in 2026, will be unable to hide the scale of diverted funding…leading to some interesting new choices being offered up as the 2028 Democratic Party presidential nominee.

5) The U.S. continues strengthening its Critical Minerals/Rare Earths Element supply chain: By late 2026, at least one additional allied refinery project is announced (likely in the newly liberated regions of South America), explicitly marketed as a “zero‑China nexus” heavy‑REE pathway, turning the North-South American–allied mine‑to‑magnet chain into a geopolitical selling point.

Vijeta Uniyal

Nearly six months after the Twelve Day War, Iran is rapidly rebuilding its ballistic missile arsenal. In the coming months, we could expect an Israeli strike aimed at dismantling Iranian missile production sites and the remnants of its nuclear program.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah, likely on orders from Tehran, is rebuilding its terrorist infrastructure and refusing to disarm in blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement brokered by the Trump administration. With the Lebanese government failing to disarm Hezbollah, Israel may not be able to ignore the terrorist buildup on its northern border for long.

Gaza-based Hamas, too, isn’t going to give up its weapons voluntarily. If the proposed multi-national stabilisation force can’t disarm Hamas, the IDF may have to do its job for them.

Russia’s war on Ukraine will soon stretch into a fourth year. Europe, or to be precise, the Western European powers, have failed to rise up to the military challenge from Moscow. Whatever the outcome of the ongoing ceasefire talks, without a continued U.S. engagement, the balance of power could shift in favor of Russia, and against Europe.

Stacey Matthews

My 2026 prediction is that the Minnesota fraud scandals we currently know about are going to be merely the tip of the iceberg, that what is uncovered in 2026 is going to be staggering.

Katya Sedgwick

Last year, I was too optimistic about the possibility of peace in Ukraine—but then again, so was Trump. I don’t see things changing there, unfortunately. The parties are too far apart from each other in their demands, and nobody wants to give in.

Trump will get bogged down in denaturalizing and deporting Somalians, but deportations of illegals will continue at the same pace.

New York City will deflate financially, politically, socially, and culturally. Policing in the West Coast cities will improve—largely thanks to ICE.

A few formerly conservative influencers—looking at you Candace—will implode and MAGA will win the intra-GOP civil war. The midterms will go in the Democrats’ favor.

Gaza will not return the body of the Israeli hero Ran Gvili.

Maybe it’s a bit of wishful thinking on my part, but I really want to see a free Iran.

Elizabeth Stauffer

Prediction:

  • The social services fraud that is being revealed in Minnesota — and now alleged in Ohio, Maine, and Washington state — will spread to additional states. Similar schemes are almost certain to be exposed elsewhere, including, but by no means limited to, California, New York, and Illinois.
  • The economy will surpass all expectations.

Hope: While this is admitted more wishcasting than prediction, my hope is that Republicans will campaign on the vast corruption that is/will be exposed in the coming months to maintain their narrow majority in the House.

Nora Clinton

My prediction for 2026 is that the economy will noticeably improve and that the Semiquincentennial celebrations will have a positive impact on young people’s views.

Coming to their senses won’t happen if women vote, and media will seek them as an audience.

That’s the cycle you have to break.

1) The economy will continue to improve, but not equally across states. The human cost of environmental tyranny in the blue states – California especially – will become to large to ignore.

2) The scourge of Islam will finally dawn on enough people to motivate reform. From Iran to NYC, this toxic belief system eats at mankind like a metastatic cancer, destroying everything in its wake. I predict that the mullahs will be overthrown and that Hizzoner will not last even a single year his policies being so radical.

3) Trump will finally be given credit for the incredible leadership he has shown in brokering international peace. Probably the most astonishing achievement – and the least recognized – of the 21st century so far.

Happy New Year my peeps!

Not so happy for Mary as the extremely lucky Nears will NOT see the superbowl unless they buy a ticket

I pray for President Trumps amazing health… he needs some rest. God has gifted us this amazing warrior, but evil, as always, walks the earth.

I pray the lazy republican populace get off their collective butts and. VOTE in the midterms and stop this democrat winning of various special elections

It’s unnerving

I pray for NYC. Once a beacon of hope for America , and the world

I pray we can deport the majority of Muslims in this country. Sorry folks, I am a hater, and all the millions from all over the world that came into our country, took our money, homes, lands and even ate our cats and dogs…. They have to go

I pray the Supreme Court stops pussy footing around and lets Trump do his job… or they too, will be done, if the democrats take control.

I pray for Professor Jacobson and companies good health, and in Mary’s case, better sports judgment

I pray that we leave the wild places wild as we dig for special minerals and God knows what else the interior wants to accomplish . Let the wild horses roam and share their kingdom with the ranchers. Let the wolfs have their spaces and let the herds of buffalo enlarge and roam..
Gods not making anymore land folks,

And finally , I pray for peace on earth

Just as in the past year liberals have spent all their energy protecting illegals from being deported, in the new year I predict they will shift their energies to protecting Somalis who have committed financial fraud.

The gop will remain tds for as much as they can behind the scenes

as america first annoys the violent ones and the gop doesnt want to have to do the dirty work that is required to maga

the left will continue its onslaught as the continue to make inroads in those once thought of as conservative small towns as the maga will be faced with the following:

do we actually do what it takes to stop the imams >>>mamdanis or do we just pray for some higher power to save us…cause thatttt aint happening

djt is the most active,,,not just talk, but active maga we’ve had for a century ( harding …coolidge anyone??) but lefty is

the childrens choice>>the msm choice >>>the seriously deranged adult bodied but mentally challenged adults who see their path to victory works

the george floyd summer of love gave them the opp to prove them wrong or right

and they won that

the black matriarchy is upon us

other than that

Im pretty optimistic

Donald Trump will take NYC to the woodshed.
This will happen either of two ways.
The first is the way it sounds.
The second is that Mamdani steers it directly into every commie iceberg visible, then complains that Trump did it.
This is a lock for 2026.

Also, I predict a spicy year for Somalian transplants.

Libs of TikTok:
Somalia’s ambassador to the UN is a….
Daycare administrator in Ohio…
You cannot make this up

My 2026 predictions:

1. Kathy Griffin will complete her transition from male to old female

2. Kamala will officially announce that she is the Dems’ nominee for president in the 2028 election

3. MN voters will approve a high speed rail project to be built by children from Somali daycare facilities

4. U.S. District court judges will rule that they have final veto/approval authority over all executive branch policy decisions

5. If Kathy Griffin completes the transition, Milhouse will formally propose marriage, with Mayor Mamdani to perform the ceremony in his home country of Uganda.

1) California will continue bleeding jobs and corporate headquarters.

2) California may be down to one refinery by the close of 2026.

2a) ARCO, Unocal, and others will follow Shell’s lead in closing hundreds of stations rather than deal with the expense of meeting new environmental standards for stations that already not leaking or otherwise polluting.

3) Muslims, emboldened by Mamdani’s election, will really start to “strut their stuff”. Expect some variation on Kristallnachts. The call to prayer blaring over speakers while protesting church bells being rung. Women accosted everywhere about not dressing modestly.
Law enfarcement and local politicians will do their level best to prevent retaliation from the decent people.

4) The Somali welfare thievery will continue, and increase greatly. Officials, fearing the R word, will stand by and do nothing.,

5) The Republicans in the houses of congress and in the legislative bodies of the joint and several states will continue being the sniveling castrati that they have always been.

6) Maxine Waters, Jazz Man Crocket, Al Green, and the rest of them will sail to victory in the ’26 election cycle.

1) I predict that college students will shift toward being more conservative as DEI is dropped for merit in admissions decisions.
2) As campus finances tighten, I predict that non-faculty employment will drop. Colleges will find ways to automate or use AI for simple administrative tasks.
3) The IRS or the Trump Administration will rule that football and perhaps other sports are “too professional” to be covered by university tax exemptions.

Professor William Jacobson

These are optimistic longshots, I know, but here goes:

(2) The Mullah Regime in Iran will fall as the currency and economy collapse.
————————
My prediction is the mullah regime murders more of their own citizens and the citizens retreat again as their protesters dead bodies pile up.
