“In Minneapolis, these rioters attacked our law enforcement officer and one of them bit off our HSI officer’s finger. He will lose his finger.”

The gruesome injury came as crowds confronting federal agents swelled at the scene of a deadly law enforcement encounter in south Minneapolis.

That shooting occurred near 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue during a federal immigration enforcement operation. Federal agents shot and killed a 37-year-old man, identified by local officials and family members as Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a Minneapolis resident and ICU nurse, in an incident that quickly drew widespread protest.

“BREAKING: It is like a TOTAL WAR ZONE right now in Minneapolis after leftist rioters stormed federal agents, supporting the armed man who was killed in self defense by BPTHIS IS INSANE! These people didn’t even wait to find out if the man was armed!FREY AND WALZ CAUSED IT”

Federal authorities say the man approached Border Patrol officers armed with a handgun during the operation—an assertion that has drawn conflicting accounts in footage circulating online and sparked immediate outrage from community members and local leaders.

As crowds pressed in on officers and tensions escalated, law enforcement struggled to maintain control of the scene, prompting further confrontations and widespread unrest.

“BREAKING: Utter CHAOS at the scene of the Border Patrol involved shooting in Minneapolis this morningI don’t see how the Insurrection Act doesn’t get invoked at this point. These people are going to go ballistic (literally)”

The alleged biting incident represents a stark escalation in hostilities between demonstrators and federal authorities during an already volatile situation. DHS officials have condemned the attack on law enforcement personnel, and the injury could signal how deeply the protests have diverged from peaceful demonstrations into violent confrontation
