CNN Leftist Repeats Myth a Right-Winger Killed Charlie Kirk
A left-winger stands accused of killing Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk. CNN contributor Tiffany Cross apparently remains oblivious to this fact.
Some leftists are still clinging to the myth that a right-winger shot and killed Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk, a claim repeated by late-night “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel without any serious consequence.
During a panel discussion on Tuesday on CNN, commentator Tiffany Cross repeated a debunked assertion that a conservative killed Kirk on Sept. 10.
“Let’s also not forget Charlie Kirk was murdered, ” legal analyst Elie Honig said during a discussion about political violence.
“Not by a left-wing extremist,” Cross jumped in to say. “That person espoused very right-wing extremism,” she said.
“The right attacks the right,” Cross also said.
“Those were right-wing people,” she said shortly after, repeating her assertion that a conservative killed Kirk.
“That person” is presumably in reference to Tyler Robinson, who is currently being tried in Utah for the assassination of Kirk.
🚨CNN’s Elie Honig had to fact check Tiffany Cross after she claimed Charlie Kirk was the victim of right wing violence

Evidence suggests Robinson allegedly killed Kirk because of his criticism of gender ideology. Robinson reportedly had a transgender roommate whom he was dating. While he is innocent until proven guilty, there are no other suspected killers of Kirk, so Cross must be referencing him.
Some initial reports suggested Robinson may have been conservative because his parents were Republicans. But those claims have been laid to rest by now, as Robbie Soave points out in Reason.
“The notion that Tyler Robinson, Kirk’s alleged killer, had right-wing motivations has apparently remained appealing for leftists, ever since the progressive Substack writer Heather Cox Richardson helped to mainstream this idea in the immediate aftermath of the shocking murder,” Soave wrote.
“Nevertheless, it is absolutely false,” Soave noted. “While Robinson did indeed come from a Republican family, his own motivation for committing the assassination was that he disliked the things Kirk had said about transgender people.”
A producer for the “Charlie Kirk Show” and a longtime employee of Turning Point USA suggested Cross feels free to throw around baseless facts because Jimmy Kimmel did not face any consequences for making the same assertions.
“We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said on his show in September last year. He was pulled from the air for a few days but otherwise did not face any consequences.
And that is the problem, according to Andrew Kolvet, Kirk’s friend and a TPUSA employee.
This is why the Jimmy Kimmel lie matters. He *nearly* lost his show for lying that it was MAGA that murdered Charlie.
Nearly, but not ultimately.
That Kimmel faced essentially zero consequences is one reason why leftists still believe the lie and parrot it on CNN. https://t.co/6YjjtIZvfn

Angry black female on CNN because of DIE says what???
Liberals: oblivious to all reality.
It’s not a ‘myth’.
It’s a LIE.
A myth is a lie that a lot of people believe.
No, you are wrong. A lie is a lie. Stop making excuses for the left Justice Milhous 🙄
It’s all a myth-understanding.
A real mythtery.
Shut your stupid lying piehole, Mailman. So now you’re calling Matt Lamb a leftist?! And denying the English dictionary?!
Come on, Millhousr. For someone who is erudite with words, this is bullshit even for you.
It’s not the primary definition. Myths are primarily fictionalized historical truths (a la Greek myths once thought to be true) spun into fantastical entertainment.
On the other hand, this fits the primary definition of a lie.
Greek myths were never thought to be true, except by idiots.
A myth is any lie that a lot of people believe. Such as the myth that before Columbus people thought the earth was flat, and were worried that he’d fall off the edge. That was invented by Washington Irving, out of whole cloth.
Or the myth that Nixon’s and Reagan’s “southern strategy” consisted of pandering to racists, rather than the exact opposite, convincing them that their cause was lost. I don’t know which Democrat propagandist invented that one, but a lot of irresponsible people propagated it.
‘Myth’ is what adherents of the cult of the One God and numberless dupes call the religious writings of older religions.
The tale of the Flood in the Bible, the Torah and the Quran is TRUTH
The older tale of the Flood in Gilgamesh is myth.
“Evil cannot create anything new, it can only corrupt and ruin what good forces have invented or made,”
Gilgamesh came first, cultists, guess where that puts you.
Says the literal Demon from Hell.
“CNN contributor Tiffany Cross apparently remains oblivious to this fact.”
I daresay she is oblivious to all facts, and remains a shining poster girl(?) for complete and deliberate obliviousness to ALL facts that are inconvenient to the Demsocialist narrative.
As does CNN and MSNOWjob. The impunity must stop, and PRESIDENT Trump’s lawsuits will make great strides in that direction.
The answer to all the lies, deliberate distortions and name calling is the threat of reap consequences. Since the judiciary for the past six decades or so has made it nearly impossible as a practical matter to proceed through the courts to address it we should bring back dueling. Make it not just legal but make refusal to apologize or participate when challenged have societal and financial consequences by making those who refusal automatically ineligible for federal $ either directly or indirectly by making their employer ineligible to receive any Federal funds of any type. Do that and there’s far more incentive not to stray over the line of civility and honesty while reducing incentives for false, misleading and inflammatory statements.
One thing you can take to the bank is when these talking heads lie the Kool-Aid crowd will never question.
People on the Right have GOT TO STOP extending the moral high ground to Leftists and giving them deference. This woman told a bald-faced lie, not a myth.
“Telling a lie” implies that the teller knows it’s a lie. “Repeating a myth” implies that the person is unaware that what she’s repeating is a lie. A myth is nothing more than a lie that a lot of people believe, including a lot of people who repeat it.
so if they think its a right winger than they want the death penalty …correct??
