Anti-Israel Activists Shout Down Liberal Columnist Ezra Klein at Sarah Lawrence College

Anti-Israel activists at Sarah Lawrence College invaded an event featuring liberal NY Times columnist Ezra Klein and disrupted it, shouting ‘Free Palestine’ among other things.
We have seen this done to right-leaning figures countless times. Now it’s even happening to liberals. This sort of thing isn’t supposed to happen to someone like Klein. He has tried repeatedly to appease the left-wing mob.

Earlier this week, the New York Times columnist and Democratic Party thought leader tried to express solidarity with pro-Hamas activists who disrupted his event at Sarah Lawrence—a mid-to-bottom-tier liberal arts college in New York. He was not successful.
In a video taken at the event—a conversation between Klein and Sarah Lawrence president Cristle [sic] Collins Judd—a keffiyeh-clad agitator berated Klein while a group of masked students held a banner denouncing the Jewish journalist as a “Nazi normalizer.” Judd sat silently throughout.
The disruption did not come as a surprise. The day before Klein arrived on campus, which happened to be Holocaust Remembrance Day, pro-Hamas activists decorated the campus with graffiti blasting Klein as a “Zionist pig” and “genocide denier.” They had even organized a faculty-sponsored counter-event to protest the platforming of a “liberal Zionist mouthpiece.”
The student agitator accused Klein of enabling Israel’s so-called genocide in Gaza. The columnist, whose speaking fees typically run from $40,000 to $70,000, sought to assure the shrieking activist that he also despised Israel, which he said was tormenting Palestinians through “apartheid and subjugation.” The activist kept ranting about fascism, so Klein pleaded for his attention. “Buddy, buddy, talk to me,” he said. “I am right here.” They didn’t care.
The anti-Israel agitators made their way to exit, chanting as they went. “Ezra Klein, you’re a liar, you set Palestine on fire,” they shouted. “Every time Ezra lies, a neighborhood in Gaza dies.” They soon joined other protesters outside the venue, clapping along to more chants about how Sarah Lawrence was inviting fascists and protecting Zionism.

Ezra Klein is apparently an apologist for white supremacists now.
They think this is free expression and that Ezra Klein is an “apologist of white supremacist views and an accessory to genocidal state violence.”

The college president was there and did nothing.
Ezra Klein wasn't at @SarahLawrence to talk about Israel. That didn't stop SJP from disrupting the event and shouting at Klein.

If only I could set Gaza in fire. I;d do it in a heartbeat and without a second thought. Better yet, if there was a big red button that would make Gaza disappear I would have already pushed it.

It’s as if some people don’t want to have an open discussion or free exchange of ideas. Instead they declare some speakers and some topics to be inherently ‘bad’ and off limits. They engage instead in ad hominem attacks and disruption seeking to ostracize the particular targets to the point they are shunned and any physical or media forum are scared off from providing a platform. Whether it comes from leftists 95% or the center/right maybe 5% max, any use of hecklers veto should be viewed as abhorrent in a Western Nation.
I admit to a certain amount of amusement. Klein thought his support of anti-Semitism would protect him. It won’t. And you can be sure that he will learn nothing from it. Leftism is a religion opposed to anything Judeo-Christian.

Even so, if that were my facility I would have used cameras to identify all trouble makers, would have announced they were trespassing, and when they didn’t leave would have sent in the goons to physically eject every one of them. Hard.
He voted for Mamdani. I wish they had assaulted him. That might have gotten through his thick skull much like the definition of a conservative is a liberal who was mugged.
It’s tempting to dismiss this incident as just more theatrics and grandstanding from the utterly lemming-like, programmed, narcissistic, ignorant and stupid college-age set, but, these idiots are dangerous.
