However, Rhode Islanders want Brown to answer why it doesn’t have or haven’t released any footage from the school:
On Monday, Fox News Digital spoke with Eve Stieglitz, whose parents live close to Brown University on Providence’s East Side.
Stieglitz, who was in the area for the holidays, said that Rhode Islanders have “zero faith in the security system right now.”
“People are shocked by the lack of footage and very uncomfortable,” she said.
“There are thousands of cameras in that neighborhood and around campus — I don’t understand how this could go amiss. How is there no video of the shooter? I don’t understand how a $70,000-a-year university doesn’t have that level of security.”
Stieglitz also described the East Side as “tight-knit” and called for members of the public to share their eyewitness accounts. “What did the killer look like? What was said? The public deserves that information,” she said. “The shooter is still at large, and that’s really troubling.”

This is shady as all heck. The incorrect initial announcement, the ‘POI’ then released, and zero sec footage on the campus of a wealthy ivy league school?

Brown has been recognized as the #1 surveillance school in the US, with one security camera for every NINE students. Feeding us BS photos like this insults our intelligence. Show us the REAL footage or we’ll find someone who will.
I assumed that those new videos weren’t even from Brown but from private doorbell cameras. As far as I know, there’s been zero video evidence that actually came from Brown.
From the new video, it looks like a chunky older guy. I would guess either a grad student or some faculty (an adjunct or something).
The amount of info we have about this case is near zero. No concept of where in the building this actually took place. What floor. How deep into the building it was. … simple facts that should have been out in the first 30 minutes.
This is a complete sh*tshow. But that’s par for the course for Rhode Island.

Why were they speaking Spanish at the press conference? WTF is up with that?
ANd my recollection was that the big minority group in Rhode Island are Portuguese, who don’t even speak Spanish.
It was refreshing to see a police chief who wasn’t some bull dyke … and then the guy speaks broken English and starts holding the press conference in Spanish.

No, not a comedy routine, but another example of a con. We were forced to hire sign language interpreters for every conference we did what involved state governments. Even if they were only needed for half an hour we had to guarantee them $500 (or thereabouts) and their hourly rate was up there with those of attorneys.
Between the manic sign language guy (just use closed captions!), the unintelligible Police Chief and the pathetic beta male Mayor, the press conference was A JOKE.

Uh … there’s a homicidal maniac, armed, on the loose and the authorities have absolutely no idea who he might be. That’s a pretty credible threat. It doesn’t get more credible of a threat than that.
If they know it was targeted and who the target(s) is/were they can reasonably say that kinda. Maybe.

All the surveillance cameras and this is all they can put up? This is going to get washed down the rabbit hole soon.
Only two conclusions are possible:
1. The security system doesn’t work. Also, the campus cops are only trained to harass someone who is accused of “racism” and are quite useless in actual police work.
2. The perp is from a politically protected group. It may take some time to frame someone else to take the fall instead.
Personally I am sticking with #2 being the most likely explanation.
Brown University, like many other universities, has invested enormous amounts of time and money to create a totalitarian snitch culture where everyone on campus is encouraged to rat out everyone else.

Yet on a campus where spying is loudly encouraged and there is apparently one camera for every nine students (eat your heart out, Big Brother!) we are expected to believe …. nobody saw ‘nuffin?!

The police will not release what was yelled by the shooter when he entered the room. He was asked numerous times and changed the subject every time.
As usual the news media released pictures of the original person of interest because he was a white male. Odd how when it’s not a white male perp. you have to Google the name to get an image to identify the race of the person. NPR used to do this all the time.
