Multiple states are suing the Trump administration over plans to withhold healthcare program funding if they continue to provide minors with what the left refers to as ‘gender affirming care.’
It is way past time to stop letting the left frame the narrative around this issue. This is not healthcare, nor is it gender affirming, and providing it to minors is insane.

Nineteen states and the District of Columbia have legally challenged Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy’s move to withhold Medicare and Medicaid funding from health care providers who offer gender-affirming treatments to minors.
The coalition of Democrat-leaning states filed a federal lawsuit this week in Eugene, Oregon, seeking to block a Dec. 18 “declaration” by Kennedy’s Department of Health and Human Services that rejects treatments such as puberty blockers, hormone therapies and surgeries for young people who experience gender dysphoria.
“This is not medicine, it is malpractice,” Kennedy said last week. “Sex-rejecting procedures rob children of their futures.”
The regulatory actions HHS is pursuing would cut off federal health programs like Medicare and Medicaid to hospitals, clinics and doctors offering gender-affirming care to minors.
“HHS is putting care at risk and forcing families to choose between their personal health care choices and their doctor’s ability to practice,” Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said in a news release. “Healthcare decisions belong with families and their healthcare providers, not the government.”
Many U.S. medical organizations support transgender care and services for young people, but about half of state governments have imposed restrictions or bans. The administration of Republican President Donald Trump has sought to roll back protections for transgender people, including in the military.

The lawsuit, led by state Attorneys General Letitia James of New York and Dan Rayfield of Oregon, where the suit was filed, comes after HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. earlier this month issued a series of directives aimed at obstructing transgender health care, specifically gender-affirming care for trans youth.
The HHS announced it intends to withhold Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program funding from hospitals that provide gender-affirming care to minors, and to alter the Biden administration’s definition of gender dysphoria so that it is no longer considered a disability under federal law.
“At the core of this so-called declaration are real people: young people who need care, parents trying to support their children, and doctors who are simply following the best medical evidence available,” James said in a statement announcing the esuit.
We do not allow children to get tattoos for a reason. How is permanent, life-altering surgery any different?

I have said this before in relation to abortions for minors. When my son got his full drivers license, where he could drive without a licensed adult in the car with him, I let him take himself to the dentist office. He was 17 and going for a routine teeth cleaning and checkup, no surgery, no fillings, if they found anything they would schedule a new appointment. The office called me to get my permission to clean and examine his teeth. So if he cannot even consent to a dental checkup at 17 on his own how are 13 and 14 yr olds getting abortions and “gender treatments”?
Generally speaking, minors also need parental permission to get ear piercings.
But chopping off dix and putting on cross-sex hormones? A-okay!
Political consistency — who needs it?
I still don’t understand how some people can consider the castrating and spaying of children to be “health care.” What these confused kids need is competent psychiatric help (as opposed to the kind that simply pushes them into gender change) and time to mature.
Most of them will turn out to be normal straight adults, or normal gay adults. The small number who still want to change their appearance to look like the other sex can do so once they are mature adults.

Most of their victims are boys and girls confused or dissatisfied with changes through puberty. A minority are homosexuals. The rest are simulants with either a misogynistic or misandristic motive or progressive conditions that are relieved through affirmative abortive ideation of selfie and/or others. Levine’s Dreams of Herr Menegele are empathetically supported by advocates for Diversity, political congruence (“=”), scientific seance, and planned parenthood or the wicked solution in sanctuary states.
I suggest a great number of them are simply easily influenced by trendiness and peer pressure, When transsexuality is no longer “cool,” they will suddenly stop feeling transsexual.
The bandwagon effect is strong, and for all their talk of wanting to be their “authentic self” and being an individual, teens are highly susceptible to peer pressure.
Gender (i.e. sex-correlated attributes) corruption therapy with forward-looking benefits and collateral damage. Perchance homophobia for those who socially distance from others in the transgender spectrum with alternative flags and rhetoric.

Except when they are in power, then you have to refer to yourself as a cis whatever and they take away your children and give them “medical gender affirming care”.
Really parents who want to trans their children should be closely looked at because there’s something very wrong with the family.

I do love Kennedy’s and the Administration’s rational and clever framing of this so-called “medical treatment,” as “sex-rejecting” procedures. That’s precisely what they are. Further, this so-called “gender-affirming ‘care’ ” constitutes child/teen abuse, manipulation, mutilation and medical malpractice and ethical violations.
So, the Dhimmi-crats are going to run for office, during the 2026 mid-term elections, as unrepentant, fanatical and rabid neo-communists, Islamofascists/Muslim supremacists and tranny groomers/abusers/mutilators/terrrorists.

If y’all live in one of the 19 States where the political leadership is demanding the Federal taxpayers fund puberty interrupting drugs that will cause lifelong impacts along with surgical mutilation of minor children you might want to consider whether the priorities of the State leadership reflects your own. Especially considering most of these States are also very much anti 2A, have higher than average levels of taxation, intrusive regulations and most are simultaneously ‘resisting’ opposing Federal efforts to enforce immigration laws. Then throw in the performance of most of these States during Covid Mania era with their tyrannical edicts untethered from any any scientific basis; masking, 6ft social distancing’, bans on in person worship, funerals, weddings, shuttered small businesses but not big box stores, closed churches but not liquor stores and of course prohibitions on large gatherings was waived for BLM ‘fiery but mostly peaceful’ demonstrations. Add to that the elimination of bail requirements, lax sentencing, early release and decriminalization efforts. Remaining in those jurisdictions, continuing to enable them by use of your taxes, economic output or mere presence for reapportionment to hold CD and political power is a strange choice.
I am confused. Was all HHS funding withheld even for legit medical procedures? If so isn’t there a way for CMS to simply refuse to pay so called “gender affirming care”? I don’t like the idea of truly needed medical care being swept up in the policy against mutilating children.

You can be sure it is not trolling. I would like to be confident that it involves only funding which is used for “gender affirming care” but I suppose it is possible that HHS wants to make dang sure children are protected from the likes of doctors who believe sexually mutilating children is a best practice so they are taking the approach of withholding all healthcare program funding so those sickos have to show whether they really do care about children or just those who believe they are transgender.

The” best medical evidence” is pure horse apples. We know that the medical associations touting such evidence have been long hijacked by those who are the ones most likely to benefit from a world with no sexual boundaries. It is like (excuse the crudeness) a giant circle jerk. Finding are not based on any such thing as best evidence. But on predetermined limited evidence based on favored outcomes.
Consider too how recent the idea of a large number of minors are actually in the wrong body and need surgical and/or hormonal treatment to correct that error. Shouldn’t such a radical concept take decades of research, debate and discussion before jumping to the forefront of mainstream medical, educational, and government institutions as being a non debatable fact? The hurry involved should raise major concerns by the very same persons who have accepted it so easily. Which means there is an agenda and it is not the health and well being of children.
So, the attorney generals of 19 states have stood up and said that not only are they sexual predators, but that they also pray on children. Why am I not surprised?
