Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov, 18, Identified as Second Brown University Victim
May he rest in peace.
Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov, 18, of Virginia, was identified as the second victim in the Brown University shooting.
Ella Cook of Alabama is the other victim.
“He was incredibly kind, funny, and smart,” according to a GoFundMe page set up to help the family. “He had big dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon and helping people. He continues to be my family’s biggest role model in all aspects. He always lent a helping hand to anyone in need without hesitation, and was the most kind-hearted person our family knew.”
The Washington Post reported that the family emigrated from Uzbekistan in 2009 and eventually settled in Brooklyn in 2011.
However, WRIC in Virginia said that Umurzokov graduated from Midlothian High School in Chesterfield County in 2025.
We are praying for the victims of the horrendous act of evil at Brown University: Ella Cook from Birmingham, Alabama, and Midlothian High School’s own Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov. We lift up their families, friends and communities in a prayer of comfort and peace.

I am heartbroken to learn that Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov — who just graduated from Midlothian High School — is among the victims of the horrific act of violence at Brown University.
Adam and I are praying for his family and all those impacted by this tragedy.…
