Two National Guardsmen were shot next to Farragut Square Park, located two blocks north of the White House.
However, 30 minutes ago, Morrisey posted that both passed away.
The guardsmen remain in critical condition.

The victims were ambushed, D.C.’s mayor and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said. A man turned a corner and fired at the guard members, MPD’s Executive Assistant Chief of Specialized Operations Jeffery Carroll said.“This is a targeted shooting,” D.C. The scene at 17th Street and I Street NW is now secured and a shooting suspect is in custody, the Metropolitan Police Department said on social media just before 3 p.m. Police believe there is only one suspect in the shooting.The two guardsmen were shot in an exchange of gunfire with the suspect, a law enforcement source tells News4.The third person shot is the suspect, a source tells News4. No other people were injured in the shooting.One of the guardsmen injured was taken to a hospital via med-evac helicopter. The other guardsman and the suspect were taken to the hospital by ambulance.Though the shooting took place near the White House, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are both out of the District. Trump is at his home in Mar-a-Lago, while Vance is at Ft. Campbell, an army base on the border between the Tennessee and Kentucky.President Donald Trump described the two Guardsmen as “critically wounded” in a social media post.

The animal that shot the two National Guardsmen, with both being critically wounded, and now in two separate hospitals, is also severely wounded, but regardless, will pay a very steep price.
