Mamdani started the video by outlining his priorities, promising to bring in the best of the best for his transition team.
At the end, though, he sneaks in a request for money.
Yes, the man who promised free everything released a video to beg for money for his transition team:
Oh, and one more thing, remember how I told you a few months ago to stop sending us money. You can start again. This transition requires staff, research, and an infrastructure that can meet this moment, and it will be made possible by the people who built and believe in this movement. You mean people want and need to be paid for their work?
All these socialists and communists always ask for money. It’s so weird.
Well, they cannot turn to their millionaire and billionaire buddies! After all, those people are the enemies, right?
Then again…wouldn’t asking them to pay for the transition team show that you mean it when you say they need to pay up?
I also wonder if Mamdani will accept the mayoral salary. That would truly show he’s a man of the people!
