Palestinian Who Stabbed Jewish Mother to Death in Front of Her Kids to be Released

Palestinian Who Stabbed Jewish Mother to Death in Front of Her Kids to be Released

Those set to be released under the hostages-for-terrorist swap include “several high-ranking and notorious terrorists convicted of deadly attacks.”

With the first phase of President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan underway, Israel is set to release around 2000 Palestinian terrorists and other prisoners. The terrorists — being swapped for some 20 living hostages and 28 bodies — include 250 serving life sentences. “The list of prisoners includes several high-ranking and notorious terrorists convicted of deadly attacks,” Israel’s i24NEWS TV channel observed.

Murad Badr Abdallah Dais is one such monster Hamas is hoping to swap for living and dead Israeli hostages. Among convicted terrorists set to be released include “Murad Badr Abdallah Dais, who murdered Dafna Meir in her home in the settlement of Otniel in 2016,” the Jerusalem Post reported Friday.

On January 17, 2025, Murad Dais, armed with a knife, entered the Israeli town of Otniel in the hills of Hebron. He spotted Dafna Meir and murdered her in front of her three children. He repeatedly stabbed Dafna and fled the scene when he couldn’t extract the bloodied knife from the body of the victim. Dafna’s three children helped their mother fight off the terrorist intruder, Israel’s Channel 2 News reported. Dafna, a 38-year-old nurse, was the mother of six, including two foster kids.

Dias “stabbed Meir a number of times in the upper body before finally stabbing her in the head, above her right eye,” The Times of Israel reported in 2016. He “tried to remove the knife in order to continue his rampage, but was unable to do so.”

The terrorist was captured in an IDF raid based on the security camera footage and the description given by Dafna’s 15-year-old daughter, who witnessed a dreadful crime. Dias confessed to the murder.

In Dais’s hometown, Yatta, Palestinians celebrated the horrific murderer of an innocent Jewish woman. “The town of Yatta is infamous for being a home to extremists. Following the news of Wednesday’s attack at the Sarona market, some people in Yatta celebrated, giving out candy and lighting fireworks,” Israel’s Ynetnews reported at that time.

Dais is the only one such murderous terrorist being swapped for the hostages who have suffered more than two years of gruesome captivity in Gaza. Several high-profile terrorists from various outfits are on that list.

The Israel National News/ Arutz Sheva profiled some of the terrorists being exchanged for hostages:

The list includes several terrorists involved in the Ramallah lynching in 2000, one of the most severe events in the history of Palestinian Arab terrorism. Among those to be released is Baher Dar, sentenced to 11 life sentences for his role in the Tzrifin suicide bombing in 2004 and other attacks in Tel Aviv.

A terrorist previously released in the Shalit deal, who was later re-arrested at Shifa Hospital in Gaza after returning to terrorist activities, will also be released.

Ibrahim Alikem — the murderer of Ita Tzur and her 12-year-old son Efrayim in an ambush near Ramallah in 1996 — will be released after serving a life sentence and being re-imprisoned a decade after his first arrest.

Fares Ghanem, sentenced to nine life sentences for eight murders, will be released. Along with him, the kidnapper and murderer of Yuri Gushchin, as well as Atiyah Abu Samhadga, who raped and murdered a Jewish woman, will be freed.

Among those to be released are also Jafar Al-Zaatari, a senior Hamas operative responsible for several suicide bombings; the murderer of Dalia Lemkus; Iyem Kammamji, arrested in 2006 for involvement in the kidnapping and murder of Eliyahu Asheri and one of the escapees from Gilboa Prison in 2021; and Hussein Jawadrah, who murdered soldier Eden Attias at the age of 16.

Riyad Al-Amour, a senior member of the Tanzim terrorist organization, will also be released. He was convicted for his role in the deaths of nine Israeli civilians and IDF officers, including Brigadier-General Yehuda Edri, as well as for the murder of three Palestinian Arabs suspected of collaboration with Israel.

Additionally, Nabil Abu Hadir, who murdered his sister, and the head of Tanzim in Tulkarm, who participated in dozens of shooting and bombing attacks, will be released.

The perpetrator of the 2002 Neve Yaakov attack, in which policewoman Galit Arviv was killed and eight police officers and civilians were injured, is also expected to be released.

The murderers of Shin Bet coordinator Haim Nachmani, the handlers of the suicide bomber responsible for the Carmel Market attack, and the head of the Islamic Jihad military wing in Jenin, Iyad Abu Al-Rub, will also be included in the deal.

Among the released will be Israeli terrorists, including the perpetrator of the murder of 11 Israelis in a Line 20 Jerusalem bus attack in 2002. Also included are Emad Shahada, who raped and murdered a teen; Arafat Zeer, who orchestrated the At-Taniel suicide bombing; and Iman Kurd, who stabbed two police officers in 2016 and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Other releases include Ahmad Mahmoud Ali Ka’abna, who murdered Hagit Zavitzky and Liat Kastiel; Hamdallah Ali, a senior Hamas figure in Judea and Samaria, released in the Shalit deal and later re-arrested at Shifa Hospital; and Hazam Awad, a senior Fatah operative behind a series of deadly attacks.

Taleb Mahamrah, a senior Fatah member who murdered five Israelis and other Palestinian Arabs, as well as Ismail Hamdan and the head of Tanzim in Bethlehem, Adnan Abi’at, will also be released. In addition, Musa Safen, who murdered his mother for marrying a Jew, and the murderer of Chief Sergeant Moshe Dayan, are included.

Among the released is Nader Abu Turki, previously freed in the Shalit deal, who recruited a suicide bomber and carried out a shooting attack. After his release, he became a key liaison between Hamas in Turkey and Hamas in Judea and Samaria; he will not be deported. Ahmad Siyag, who stabbed a female soldier four years ago, and Zaid Ghanidi, head of a terror cell in Hebron recently thwarted by Shin Bet, will also be released.

As part of the agreement, Israel will also hand over the bodies of some terrorists, who were likely killed on October 7, 2023, or in other terror incidents. These do not include the remains of the October 7 mastermind and Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar or his terrorist brother Mohammed, who were killed in separate IDF strikes in Gaza, Israeli news reports say.

“Israel will return “360 Gazan terrorists’ bodies,” the decision said, without specifying if any of those Gazans had taken part in the October 7 massacre,” The Times of Israel. “On Thursday, Hebrew media reported that Israel had rejected a Hamas demand that it return the bodies of the brothers Yahya and Mohammed Sinwar, who successively led Hamas before Israel killed them last October and this May, respectively.”

Maybe Israel should stop capturing these people.

BigRosieGreenbaum | October 11, 2025 at 2:44 pm

Release them with bombs planted up their asses and let them blow up themselves and their friends.

The filthy murdering bastards would like that too much. Surgically implantation in abdomen they wouldn’t enjoy. Or maybe just give them a free pager?

If Israel has decided to kill the likes of Nasrallah and Sinwar, there should be no future qualms in using the death penalty against those that engage in terrorist acts that take life or cause grave harm.

Alex deWynter in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | October 11, 2025 at 3:43 pm

The key difference is Nasrallah and Sinwar were killed in combat, not convicted and executed. While Israel does theoretically have the death penalty for certain offenses (including war crimes), they haven’t actually executed anyone in over half a century. Between that and their willingness to trade scores of terrorist thugs for even a single long-dead corpse, they’re practically begging the Pali Arabs to take hostages, living or dead.

The question is if the death penalty is appropriate as punishment for terrorist acts that kill or cause grave harm. A terrorist, when acting, is engaging in conflict that, in effect, is no different than a combatant, and if convicted, should face the full measure of justice. That would reduce worst from being traded.

As Alex said, capital punishment does not in practice exist in Israel. It’s on the books, but only on the books. The top prosecutors in Israel have already publicly stated that they will refuse any order from the elected government to seek the death penalty against anyone. And the judiciary is of the same mind, and would refuse to sentence anyone to death. And no, they can’t be fired for insubordination; they give the government orders, not the other way around.

The Israelis will get another shot at it soon enough. No prisoners this time.

Hopefully they GPS chip every terrorist they release.

“Dais is the only one such murderous terrorist …”

Missing “not”.

Prisoners of war is their status.

Capture, put in a truck, no shackles, and drive down a hill and have several sudden stops along the way…

My father fought inWW2 under Patton, it’s what they did with the Germans who murdered captured American soldiers,

Absurd concept. Prisoners of war are not guilty of crimes like these terrorists, and are entitled to be released when hostilities are over, unlike these convicted criminals.

    tlcomm2 in reply to rhhardin. | October 11, 2025 at 9:06 pm

Idiocy. At best he is guilty of a war crime. No soldier in a war legally sneaks into a city to knife unarmed female civilians. Return him in the same condition as those Hamas murdered

Milhouse in reply to rhhardin. | October 12, 2025 at 12:21 am

No, it is not. They are common criminals, not entitled to anything.

iconotastic in reply to rhhardin. | October 12, 2025 at 9:31 pm

If no uniform when captured then they are unlawful combatants. I believe such combatants should be summarily executed

They are your heros you sadistic psychopathic MF.

This is like saying Jeffrey Dahmer was a “prisoner of war”. A kindred spirit to hardin.

1. Agree to peace settlement/ceasefire
2. Regroup
3. Rearm
4. Resume violence
5. Goto #1 when heat becomes too great

And that’s how Hamas behaves. That’s how Hamas has always behaved. And if Netanyahu and Trump haven’t figured that one out by now I don’t know what to say other than I didn’t think they were that stupid and big of fools if they think this peace agreement will actually lead to peace between the arab terrorists and Israel.

But at least Trump get’s his Nobel Peace Prize, right? Oh wait, no he didn’t. LOL

So incensed. So far away. Your comment is Boltonesque and not grounded in reality. You pretend like Phase I means Kumbaya. How silly. And repeating yet again the talking point that it was for a prize is both gross and the fake laugh shows ill intent. A bad comment on all fronts.

And yet you still haven’t even attempted to post anything that would prove me wrong. Nothing forthcoming that would refute what I posted. It’s almost as if you can’t do it. But I’m willing to give you another chance. Prove me wrong. Prove my post wrong. Awaiting your answer but not expecting anything much of it.

The Jihad will continue and no Peace Agreement will stop it.

Because trying to prove anything is silly, and you would not be satisfied no matter what. There is no point. Not to mention your arrogance. You have not addressed what was offered. In fact, it is you that offers nothing to the matter. Israel has shown (and its adversaries know) it’s capability unlike ever before. Ask Iran. The Jihad will continue? Thank you for such a scoop! Enjoy seeing the hostages. Sad for you to know they are now off the table?

And yet you still haven’t even attempted to post anything that would prove me wrong. But I wasn’t really expecting anything as in the end you’ve got nothing and nothing is all you’ll ever have. Netanyahu is the fool to think that this peace agreement will end the jihad. Trump is a fool to think this peace agreement will end the jihad. I sincerely hope it does but in the end the jihad will continue as scheduled and no peace agreement will stop it. Prove me wrong.

Prove you are not an arrogant schmuck.

Islamofascists don’t want peace. Good luck with that.

Yes but a large part of what held Israel back was the living hostages. Now if Hamas breaks the deal there are no Israelis in the way of whatever they dump on Gaza. They could flood the tunnels and shoot the rats as they run out.

No surprise and why Israel should only take a few prisoners for intelligence purposes, Kill the rest on sight.

Perhaps Mossad will see to it that he suffers an unfortunate accident at some point in the next decade.

This is the height of irresponsibility and criminal negligence. When, not if, one of these people murders more Jews, Netanyahu and every cabinet member who voted for this deal will be responsible. That blood will be on their hands. By all rights they should be tried for those murders, but of course they won’t be.

As of right now there is nothing we could do on this issue except that hope Trump has actually figured out a way to clear Hamas out of Gaza/that Israel actually won and will be rid of it in return for releasing these demons.

However on the issue of “Do we want people who side with these scum as our leadership”

Maybe if you wanted Matt Gaetz as AG despite his never having practiced law, being known to have sex with teenagers at least one of them likely underage……

Apply minimum standards in the future? Even the blindest could have seen he would quickly turn to Jew hatred (which is where most conspiracy theorists end up).

Did you like Gateway Pundit???

Same Gateway Pundit that literally invented family members who work for China of Georgia state officials and ran with that fake news?

Same Gateway Pundit who reported on a riot in a way that clearly supported it continuing because it was a riot from out side?

Same Gateway Pundit that has routinely been caught making things up of which it is the only source?

Same Gateway Pundit that is routinely unmasked lying???

That Gateway Pundit???

So many of the rightwing anti-Semites should never have been prominent in the first place because they fail even the most absurdly basic quality checks as people or papers.

Without bringing up his Holocaust denial

Fine lets discuss why Tucker believes millions of Japanese civilians should have died in the invasion of Japan alongside hundreds of thousands of Japanese and American soldiers instead of the atomic bombs?

Lets discuss why Tucker feels the WW2 narrative about Hitler is wrong?

Lets discuss Tucker’s Aliens exist conspiracy theories

Lets discuss Tucker’s socialist policy prescriptions

Lets discuss Tucker promoting Andrew Tate

There is a hell of a lot more but even without his full scale embracing of the Islamists and Iran Tucker should never have been popular from our side in the first place.

The low quality trash from our side all came out against Israel and Jews.

Maybe that means it is time to stop defending low quality trash and yes if you are into platforming Holocaust deniers you are low quality trash.

Everyone here supported Israel which was the right thing to do.

Leave trash like Matt Gaetz and Tucker and Candace as major figures for our side and that will not be true next time.

My hope is that Israel is agreeing to get the hostages back out of Gazan territory, so that they can then go 100% scorched earth without fearof killing the hostages.

True or not, no rational person believes that peace is possible with Hamas or with Islam period.

this would not be the case if Israel EXECUTED convicted terrorists. The are releasing the people today who will commit the terrorist acts tomorrow.

destroycommunism | October 13, 2025 at 10:56 am

leftist culture of violence

It’s too bad that Israel didn’t give all of them the old lobotomy before release! They would have been alive but walking vegatables the rest of their sick lives!

SeekingRationalThought | October 14, 2025 at 8:48 am

The game changes when one no longer has legal responsibility for prisoners. I’m guessing that the released terrorists who murdered civilian Israelis will have difficulty obtaining life insurance. If I were them, I’d disappear quickly otherwise they are likely to disappear quickly.

This ‘peace deal’ is simply a capitulation to savages who have no rights to one inch of the Land of Israel, even if they weren’t savages.

It’s fantastic to get the captives released and home, but the rest of the deal most assuredly sets up the next disaster/massacre/war instead of peace.

Peace comes from justice. And this sure as heck isn’t justice.
